The Substitute

The Substitute
Go home

Ameera and her babies spent nearly a week in hospital in Bogor. The more days Elmira's condition improves. Erzan had stabilized a few days earlier. Even the baby boy had been out of the nursery for a few days.

While preparing for her return today, Ameera and her family were having a casual chat in the room when a doctor and nurse came by pushing a cradle.

Nor can they hide their happiness. While crying, Zarima held her granddaughter for the first time.

"The beauty of Oma's granddaughter," Zarima said as she peeked at Elmira's face, "His face is really Ozan, there's nothing to throw away," Zarima looked at Elmira's face which was very similar to Ozan's.

Ozan who had just held his son had to scramble with Rangga to hold Elmira. Hasan who was holding Erzan clucked while shaking his head to see the behavior of his two sons.

"Eh, his father first, Om-Om later," said Ozan while pulling the shirt on Rangga.

"Sister has plenty of time at home to hold a sack."

"Replace..."

"Mama, you haven't washed your hands yet, you know..."

"Ozzanine..." Zarima rounded his eyes looking at Ozan, his gaze as if ordering him to wash his hands immediately. Ozan had to go to the bathroom to wash his hands.

Rangga smiled with satisfaction and took over Elmira and carried her. He kissed the little baby's face several times, until there was a speck of clear liquid in the corner of his eye.

"Your band... Scaring us all for a few days, Om pinch it...!" he said to the baby while sticking his nose up on the baby's cheek.

Ameera no longer had the power to stem her longing for her son. Every day, he could only see Elmira from behind a glass. Today, she can hold that beautiful baby as much as she wants.

"Give it to me." asked Ameera, stretching out her hand. Rangga then gave the baby to Ameera.

Cuddled the baby with love. Let go of all his longing for these few days.

"They both look like me, yeah..."

"Yes, Bang... Like a betel nut on the side of an axe." said Rangga seraya chuckled.

Keep them at home. For the first time Erzan and Elmira will enter the house that will be where they grew up. There will be their cries every day that will enliven the big house.

Zarima who was so enthusiastic to welcome the return of his grandchildren had prepared various needs for his two little angels. Even the middle-aged woman turned the guest room next to Ozan's room into a nursery with shades of pink and blue.

Ameera and Ozan were so astonished as they entered the room. During her pregnancy, Ameera and Ozan had no thought of making a nursery. In fact, they only think about the name of their child after birth.

"You're being the ngaco parents. Usually parents out there make a nursery from far away the day before their child is born. And you don't even think about it." Zarima told Ozan and Ameera.

Ozan and Ameera just smiled at the mother's nagging.

"I don't know about that, Mah," Ozan said.

"Then what did you know? Know how to make it?" zarima said as he chuckled.

Ameera's face became embarrassed to hear the frontal speech of her mother-in-law.
