The Substitute

The Substitute
Trying to Move On

Dina cried as if remembering every word that Rangga said. Not knowing where he should go to get rid of his heart. His eyes were only on the street crowd that afternoon.

Well Rangga I will follow your wishes. All this time I've been hurting my heart by waiting for you. Now I give up. I'll try to forget you.

And, suddenly he remembered the one person who might be able to help him forget his heartache. He immediately grabbed his phone and contacted someone. With a single ring, the call is already connected to that number.

"Hello.." there was the voice of a man across the street.

"Hello, Brother Ramon. Not busy?" ask Dina.

"Lumayan. Why?"

"I.. I...." Dina thought for a moment, not knowing what to say. And because of what he suddenly remembered Ramon and contacted him. "Oh. I see. I'm sorry, sister, I'm interrupting..."

"No, no..." Ramon quickly replied, The man was so happy, but only on the phone but he felt like he was in a flower garden. "You're tumben phone... What's wrong?" ask Ramon.

"Can we meet?"

Ramon jumped to hear Dina's invitation to meet. Like flying into space, he welcomed happily.

"Can, Din? When?" asked Ramon excitedly.

"How now?"

"Now?" ramon said as he glanced at the pile of maps on his desk.

What do I do, Juleha? Ah, fuck the job. It was important that I met Dina.

"Where are you, Din?"

"I'm near Brother's office. If you bother, just wait for me in front of Kak Ramon's office. I'll be there, I'll take the car."

"All right, I'll wait."

And the assistant did not know himself was leaving happily without permission from the boss. He sauntered into the elevator with a sparkling face, because his heart adored him.

He was already in front of that towering tall building, occasionally glancing at his watch. Not long after, Dina came.

The girl got out of the car and greeted Ramon. "Sorry, Brother. I seem to be disturbing." said Dina.

"No, Din... Not disturbing though. I'm not busy" said the liar. His work is on the table.

"All right, brother Ramon is driving, yes..."

"OKAY.." They left the office building.

"You got a problem, huh?" asked Ramon, he saw Dina's puffy eyes.

"Yes, Brother. I'm sad."

"The ladder?" Without explaining, Ramon can guess that what makes the beautiful girl sad, surely Rangga.

Not long after, they had reached a lake. They then chose to sit on a chair in the lake.

"I was wrong? Too much hope Rangga will open his heart to me.. Am I selfish?" asked Dina while looking at the beautiful scenery in the lake.

"That's not wrong, Din. Everyone is free to fight for his love..."

"But today I realized my selfishness. I hurt myself by waiting for something I would never have. I want to forget it." said Dina.

"You sure?"

"I only have two choices. Survive even if hurt, or let go. Yesterday I was able to stay, but today I didn't. I'm giving up."

Whether it should be happy or sad, that was Ramon's mind. If Dina let go of Rangga, then she would have a chance, but the man could not bear to see Dina's sad face.

And it is true, a few moments later Dina returned to crying until a hiccup. I hope her tears will wash away all her pain. Ramon tried to strengthen her by rubbing her back.

"Cry, Din. After today forget everything." She continued to cry until she was satisfied. Until his eyes dry.

"Let's go fishing." take Ramon when Dina starts to stop crying.

"Fishing?"

"Yes, look there. We can burn our fish in the restaurant..."

At a glance Dina smiled, "It seems exciting..."

Ramon grasped Dina's hand and took her to the edge of the lake to fish. Sometimes they sound laughing. They drift in their excitement, especially Ramon who forgets about his pile of work in the office.

Meanwhile, Ozan just came out of his room and into Ramon's work room right next to his room.

"Ramon where?" asked Ozan to his secretary.

"I don't know, sir. He said he'd go ahead for a minute."

"Since when?"

The woman glanced at her watch, about to count how long Ramon had been away. "About 3 hours ago, sir." he replied later.

Ozan frowned, not usually Ramon went so alone without telling him. "Well" said Ozan, he went back into Ramon's room and took over, working on the files left by his assistant.

Brengs*k is the guy. I have to take over his job.

Ozan grunts cursing Ramon who went somewhere. Even Ozan has called him many times. Ramon did not answer.

Until late afternoon, Ramon and Dina were still busy fishing until they forgot the time.

"Burn, yuk... have a lot of fish." take Ramon.

They also headed to a simple restaurant located on the edge of the lake, which does provide a place for visitors to burn fish.

Dina looks so enthusiastic about that simple activity. From afar they looked like very romantic lovers. He felt very different with Ramon. The man knew very well how to comfort the heartbroken Dina.

"Thank you, brother. I can forget a little bit about my problems." said Dina.

They're eating their catch on the lake.

"Thank you why? What did I do?"

"A lot. I never imagined it turned out to be fun activities like this. I hate myself for being so focused on just one thing. I'm really selfish."

"You know, Din. Happiness is a choice. If you're not happy at one point, why don't you look for happiness from another direction?"

Dina thought for a moment, Ramon's words did have a point. Dina chose to seek happiness from Rangga. However, all this time only the pain he got. He really felt very selfish.

"Sister Ramon is right."

They also eat well. Ramon is unaware of his friendship with Dina from noon until late afternoon.

Until finally he glanced at the clock on his wrist making him jump in shock.

Mam*us. Almost 6 o'clock. How not to feel yes...

"Why, Brother?"

"Not what, Din. yuk back." take Ramon.

"Sister Ramon is going to the office again, huh...?"

"Yes, Din. Later sometime if you are sad again, or need something, you just call me. I will always be there for you."

Buset, since when did I become this dreadful.

"Thank you, brother. I'm not good."

And finally Ramon arrived at the office, he immediately accelerated his steps towards the elevator that would take him to the top floor of the building.

Because it was past the hour to go home, the atmosphere of the office became quiet. He immediately entered his room intending to do the work that had been in residence by not knowing himself.

"Where are you from?" ask Ozan who is still in Ramon's room.

"Eh, surprise me.. Why are you in my room?"

"Gue help you, master your many work." said Ozan in a satirical tone.

Ramon glanced at the table that still left a few more maps, some of which had been done by Ozan.

"What a hell, you... Gie's becoming more and more affectionate with you, Zan..."

"No need to woo you... ticklish me" he said, throwing some remaining maps at Ramon.

"Kerjain. I want to go home." he said as he passed by leaving Ramon's room.
