The Substitute

The Substitute
Love waiting

It did not feel like it had been a week since Rangga woke up from his coma, every day Dina and Ameera came alternately to accompany him. That afternoon, after finishing college, Dina went straight to the hospital to visit his idol.

Rangga was sitting daydreaming in a wheelchair. Take in the view of the sea from behind a glass window in her treatment room located on the 11th floor of a hospital.

"Sorry, Rangga. I just came." said Dina when entering Rangga's room.

"It's okay, Dina. You must be tired." said Rangga without looking. He was still at home with the view in front of him.

As he turned to look at Dina, he jumped in shock. His eyes were round looking at Dina from the tip of the foot to the tip of the head.

"What's wrong with you, Din?" ask Rangga.

He did not believe in Dina's appearance today. Dina deliberately changed her appearance to be like the old Ameera. Jeans with a tear on the knee with a tee shirt make his appearance look tomboyish. Very different from Dina's day.

"Devicious, huh?" ask Dina.

Rangga chuckled while watching Dina. "Come here, Din. Dina immediately sat on the chair opposite to Rangga. "What are you doing?"

"I thought of becoming Ameera and accompanying you every day. Maybe you can do better with my disguise."

A moment later Rangga's face looked sad, there was guilt against his heart. He grabbed Dina's fingers and held them tightly.

I'm sorry, Din. You have to do this to get my attention.

"Dina. You can't be Ameera. And on the contrary, Ameera will not be able to be you" said Rangga. "You and Ameera have their own place in my heart."

"Who knows that by looking like this I can make you fall in love with me." said Dina, smiling.

"Hehe..." Rangga chuckled at Dina's adorable-sounding words. "Din, I'd rather you be yourself."

"Rangga, can I ask you something?" dina said hesitantly.

"Ask what?"

"What makes you love Ameera so much?" ask Dina. All this time the girl did not dare to ask Rangga. I don't know which force made him dare to ask.

For a moment Rangga fell silent at Dina's question. Talking about Ameera will be endless for Rangga.

"I don't need a reason to love Ameera. I don't know why either. But one thing I do know, I love everything inside of him. That's all."

The tears fell, soaking the cheeks of the beautiful girl. He knew, his heart would hurt to hear Rangga's answer to his question. But at least Rangga had been honest with him, and that was enough for him.

Waiting for Rangga was a dead price for a Dina. How long it takes Rangga to open his heart, he will give.

"I'm trying to meet you, Din. Please be patient. I promised it to you, right? An empty place by my side, will only be filled by you. I'm sorry, because it took me a long time. I just don't want to lie to you about my feelings. Ameera was my first love, but I'm trying to make you my last love" Rangga said.

There was a feeling of happiness in Dina's heart. He knows, Rangga is not the type of person who likes to make sweet promises. The spirit of a man is what he is, who speaks according to what is in his heart and mind.

"I'll keep waiting, no matter how long it takes" Dina told Rangga.

If Dina is able to be patient for many years in waiting for her love, then another case with Ramon. He who was already in love with Dina was swallowing a bitter pill in his life. Since then he was standing behind the door hearing the talk of Dina and Rangga.

There was an invisible pain, a feeling that was difficult to understand by him. How Dina who to him was just a teenage girl, was able to make him fall in love.

I lost away from Rangga. He is indeed someone unique. Even Dina bent her knees in front of him hoping for his love. Inner Ramon.

Ramon finally chose to wait at the door. Not wanting to interrupt Rangga and Dina's conversation that felt like a thorn in her ear.

At Ameera's request, Ramon went to the hospital to bring Rangga his favorite cake made by Ameera himself. However, it was precisely the painful surprise that came to him.

"Oh. yes, Din. I'm here to bring Ameera's gift to Rangga." said Ramon.

"just enter... Rangga is inside. I'm going ahead for a minute."

"Yes, Din..."

Dina then left Ramon who was staring at the door.

Just like Rangga, he was also surprised to see the appearance of Dina who really resembled Ameera. After Dina disappeared from his sight, he went inside.

"Where are you, Bro?" ramon asked as he entered Rangga's room.

"Eh, Bang. I guess who, surprised me." said Rangga.

"Gue here to bring you this. The deposit from Ameera." said Ramon while handing a box to Rangga.

"What's this?"

"Says your favorite cake. Ameera make it yourself..."

"Great as well as the ugly kebo, it can make its own cake" said Rangga while opening the box. And his eyes sparkled at his favorite durian pancakes. "Well, I have to thank Bang Ozan. She managed to turn the bar-bar Ameera into a real woman. You can make cake. haha" said Rangga later.

"Hehe, Ozan used to be in the same job as Ameera knew.." said Ramon, he remembered at the beginning of their marriage, Ozan often made dizzy with Ameera's behavior. "By the way, how's your leg?" ask Ramon later.

"Yes, there has been no development. I think I'll be paralyzed." he replied.

"Don't be pessimistic. You've had physiotherapy, right?"

.

"Again while."sahut Rangga.

You're lucky Rangga. Under these circumstances Dina mashib remains faithful to you, inner Ramon.

"Oh, yeah. Thanks, Bang. You want to bother bringing me this." said Rangga.

"Yes. Don't bother. I'm all through." Though the real reason, Ramon just wanted to see Dina alone. Ever since Rangga was hospitalized, he was never again able to invite Dina to meet both.

The next day...

Because his condition has improved, today Rangga was allowed to go home by a doctor. Rizal was already in the hospital to take care of the administration of the hospital after all the business was done, they rushed out of the hospital.

Rizal pushed Rangga's wheelchair towards a car parked in the hospital yard.

"Would you like to come home or stop by somewhere?"

"I'm going to the detention house." pinta Rangga.

"Why are you there?" ask Rizal. It seemed like he was starting to understand the reason Rangga had asked him to pick her up alone. He didn't want his mother or Dina to come pick him up.

"You take me there. You will know later..."

Finally Rizal relented and drove the car to the detention house where Hendri served his sentence.
