The Substitute

The Substitute
Expressions feelings.

In the morning, Ameera was sitting daydreaming in the living room when a waiter told her that she had a guest. When he turned his eyes to someone at the other end, he laughed. He saw Dina standing there with her face.

"Dina.." murmured Ameera.

"Ameera, can we talk for a second?"

Ameera immediately approached Dina and asked her to sit with him on the sofa.

"I'm sorry Ameera, may I ask for your time today?" dina asked in a trembling voice, "Rangga needs you in her last moments. Come with me Ameera. I beg you." said Dina later. His face even looked very clear.

"Alright, but I have to ask my husband's permission first, Din." said Ameera.

Ameera immediately contacted Ozan who had left for the office to ask for permission. Earlier this morning, Ozan promised Ameera that he would visit Rangga after the meeting was over. After getting permission from Ozan, they rushed to a place, not to the hospital, where they were going, except for the house of Rangga. Ameera looked at the mansion in front of her with a confused feeling, why did Dina take her there instead of to the hospital.

"Whose house is this?" ameera asked Dina.

"You'll know later. Let's go in." take Dina.

Some guards approached them. And upon seeing Dina, they bowed a sign of respect.

"I want to take something inside" Dina told a man.

"Good, Miss. Please come in." said the man.

They also entered the luxurious house. After entering the house, Ameera then knew whose house it was by looking at the photo that adorned the room.

"Is this Rangga's house?"

"Yes, Ameera. Let's go upstairs, there's something I want to show you." ask Dina.

They also climbed the stairs to a room. Dina opened the door and took Ameera inside.

"This is Rangga's room." said Dina.

Ameera circulated her gaze at every corner of the room. There are many photos there, one of which is his photo with Rangga which is framed neatly on the nightstand on the side of the bed. He took the picture and looked at it deeply. Photos of his childhood with Rangga when they were 8 years old. I didn't feel like her tears just fell looking at the photo.

"There's something I want to show you" Dina said. He walked to a door in the corner of the room. Ameera followed Dina behind her.

And when entering a room that looks like a photo studio, Ameera was so surprised. Unknowingly, he dropped himself on the floor. Look at every part of the wall that filled with photos of him. I don't feel her tears falling more and more.

"Everything about Rangga is in this room Ameera. You are everything to Rangga. He's pouring all his feelings here. Everything he can't show you, he shows you in this room" Dina said.

Ameera woke up from her seat. He stood staring at every photo of himself that filled the wall of the room, touching some photos of himself with Rangga. His fingers even shook touching the photos.

As for some memos there that were written by Rangga and all about Ameera.

"Rangga..." The voice of Ameera muttered the name of the man who became her first love.

His eyes were fixed on a blackboards standing in the other corner of the room, making his heart look like it was sliced.

"The ladder writes this sentence every day for you. Because he couldn't say it directly" Dina said.

The board has been filled with the words of Rangga's expression of feelings written by him. Ameera wiped her tears. He read the writing that filled the board.

"I love you, my Lollypop."

"Bad kebo, I love you."

"My friend, I love you."

Those are some of the thousands of sentences that Rangga wrote for Ameera.

Dina approached Ameera and rubbed her shoulders slowly.

"I'm sorry Ameera. I've taken part in separating you from Rangga. I am the first wall that borders you. I made you think that Rangga and I liked each other. The truth in his heart is only you." said Dina.

Dina opened a drawer and took some envelopes inside, then gave them to Ameera.

"Read me. I'll wait for you outside." After giving the envelope, Dina came out and chose to sit on the sofa in Rangga's room.

Ameera dropped her body on the chair, and with a thumping feeling, Ameera opened the envelope and read the contents. A letter that Rangga had written to her. He saw the date in the letter was a few days before his marriage to Ozan.

My dear Ameer, if fate had been kind to me by giving me a choice, I would have chosen not to be born in the Great Darmawan family. It's up to me to be born in any family that destiny wants. Because I will definitely pursue your love. I'll do anything for you. I won't let anyone else have you. But look at this sad reality. I must hold you as your best friend, not as the man who loves you. Even I have to pretend to love the other person in front of you, so that you don't have more feelings for me. It hurts a lot, no, living as me. I feel like I want to be selfish and take you away to be happy with me, while waiting until I'm old enough to marry you. Hehe! I want to forget all the people who made the gap between us. But Ameera, in reality I'm just a pathetic human being. Who can't show you how heavy you are to me. I love you Ameera, with all my soul.

Ameera hugged the white paper with her unbearable tears. So sad for him. In the past, he harbored himself a feeling of pain in his heart, thinking his love for Rangga clapped one hand. However, he had to know everything when it was too late. She had belonged to someone else and there was already a child among those in Ameera's birth.

Ameera opened several other envelopes. Make the room filled with his soft stuff. After being satisfied to spill her tears in the room, Ameera went out to meet Dina.

"Why did he do all this to me, Din?" tanya Ameera accompanied by a sobbing.

"He only thought of one thing, Ameera... Protecting you. That's it."

"But who wants to hurt me until Rangga has to hide everything from me?"

"I have no right to explain, Ameera. Only Rangga has the right to say it." said Dina.

"Bring me to him, Din. I beg you. I will scold him for doing all this to me." pinta Ameera.

Ameera wearing her green clothes entered the ICU room. His tears fell again to see Rangga's body filled with medical equipment. He approached Rangga. Then sit by his side. He kissed softly on Rangga's forehead.

"Rangga, you remember. When I was sad, you always gave me lollypop. Now I'm very sad. Then why don't you give me a lollypop. Why are you quiet?"

Ameera grabbed Rangga's left hand and placed it on her cheek. He began to tell Rangga the past that they both went through. All the memories between him and Rangga. Sometimes Ameera chuckles when telling funny things that they experience, then a moment later back sobbing.

He dropped his head on Rangga's left shoulder. His hands were coiled around Rangga's body.

Ameera then brought her face closer to Rangga's ear and whispered something.

"I love you, Rangga. Loves you so much..." Finally said from the mouth of Ameera what has been in his own storage, "if destiny does not unite us as a mate. Then why? We're gonna have each other forever as best friends, right? I will have you as my friend until death do us part. Then now what are you doing? You want to leave me? You cheated."

Without Ameera noticing, tears dripped from the corner of Rangga's eyes. Like he could hear the words Ameera said.

Ameera again grabbed Rangga's hand and held it.

"You're evil as I am. You used to wipe my tears, and now look what you did to me. You made me cry, but you couldn't remove it, right? You know, until you wake up, I don't stop crying, let you feel what I feel. Let me make you feel guilty about my tears that you can't erase. And I'll hate you all my life for every drop of tear I fall for crying you."

Ameera's words even sounded like a threat to Rangga. Right, he was threatening Rangga with something that the man feared the most. Crying and being hated by Ameera, was something that Rangga feared most in his life.

Deep in Rangga's subconscious, he dressed in all white was walking towards a large bridge. He smiled as he approached the gate.

And as he began to step his feet, it was as if he had heard the voice of the people calling his name. He turned around, seeing that his loved ones were there. Mother, father, Naura, Dina, Rizal and the others were smiling at him. He replied with a smile and waved to them. And as he was about to step back across the bridge, he again heard a voice calling his name from a distance.

Ameera was there, crying. He looks very sad. Even Rangga's tears fell to see Ameera crying a mouthful.

Jemari Rangga also moved along with the sound of Ameera's sobs that incised an indiscriminate in his heart. For whatever sake Rangga was never willing if the sound of poop was ringing in his ears.

"A.. mee.. raa.." Rangga's weak voice spoke from his lips with his eyes still closed. As much as he tried to move his hand. And, like a miracle, Rangga then opened his eyes slowly.

Seeing Rangga move his finger, immediately Ameera stopped crying, then rubbed his eyes several times, he was like dreaming of seeing Rangga awake. Their eyes met each other. Rangga tried to raise his hand, trying to grab Ameera's face. However, instead of approaching, Ameera instead moved backwards.

"Who do you think you are? How dare it make me cry. Just watch if my soul finds you. He will beat you to death." Ameera told Rangga with her tears growing faster.

"Again, Ameera. Don't stick me to Rangga. He will definitely beat me to death." The weak and disjointed speech that came out of Rangga's mouth sounded like a mutter.

Ameera then brought her face closer to Rangga, so that Rangga could wipe away the tears that wet her cheeks.

"Please, stop this" Rangga said later. Because her voice sounded so weak, Ameera even had to close her ears to Rangga's lips in order to hear it.

With the remaining energy in his possession, he tried to remove his breathing apparatus.

"What do you want?" ask Ameera.

"I don't like this."

"Don't say much first, I'll call the doctor." Ameera was about to step up, but Rangga pulled her wrist.

"Ameera, just for a second. Keep me company." Rangga who was so difficult to finish each of his words made Ameera unbearable. Finally Ameera sat back down to accompany Rangga. He rested his head on Rangga's shoulder with tears that returned.

"Did you make me work hard on purpose? You keep crying, making me bother about having to keep wiping it off." Rangga spoke again even though it was so difficult to finish his sentence.

"Let's just be, this is a punishment for you."

While Aliyah, Dina and Rizal were still sitting in front of the room. They don't know if Rangga is awake. Not long after, Ozan arrived with Ramon. Then sit there.

"How's Rangga doing, Zal?" ask Ozan to Rizal.

"Still the same. Ameera is inside." replied Rizal.

Not long after, the team of doctors who handle Rangga came to check on Rangga's condition. However, when they were about to enter the room, they seemed to not believe seeing Rangga had awakened.
