The Substitute

The Substitute
Memories of the past

"Why don't you guys take Papa to the hospital?" ozan asked Rangga and Naura.

They were sitting in the living room, while Ameera was still in the room accompanying Hendri.

"Papa refused, Bang. Me, Brother Naura and Mama have persuaded papa several times. But papa still refused," replied Rangga.

Naura was still crying until a hiccup, Rangga embraced her brother and persuaded him to stop crying.

"Now all that can persuade papa is Ameera. I hope Ameera's presence can strengthen papa."

"I'm going to ask Ameera to persuade him" Ozan said.

Not long after the sound of Ameera screaming, people outside jumped in shock and immediately ran into the room.

"Father, get up.." call Ameera crying, "Rangga quickly take papa to the hospital!" then shouted.

Ozan quickly contacted the hospital and asked for an ambulance to be sent to the house.

After a few minutes, the ambulance came and took Hendri to the hospital.

"Dad... El wants to come..." Elmira whines to ask to come along.

"Elmira same brother lived here first, yes... I'm the same mom wants to take Grandpa to the hospital." Ozan asked his daughter.

"But pick it up later, yeah..."

"Yes, I'll pick you up. Don't be naughty, yeah..."

Arriving at the hospital, Hendri was immediately treated by several expert doctors. Ameera and Naura sat together leaning on Rangga's shoulder, they waited with a sense of uneasiness.

"Rangga, papa will be fine right? Papa's gonna heal, right?" ask Ameera.

"Papa's gonna be fine. Relax!"

Not long after, a doctor came out of the room and informed Hendri of his condition. Ozan immediately contacted Hasan to inform him of the situation of his father's friend.

"Ameera, just go home first. You are also recovering, you need rest" said Naura.

"I'm waiting for you, brother. If I go home, how about papa find me."

"I'll call you right away if papa's looking for you. Don't let you get sick."

"Yes, Ameera... You go home first," added Rangga.

"Come, Ameera. You should rest. Let's go get El to Er first." Ozan immediately invited Ameera home because her health has not fully recovered.

Later that night, Ameera reopened an old photo album she had taken from her home. He looked at pictures of his mother with Hendri.

"They're a matching couple" murmured Ameera.

Ozan then approached Ameera who was still opening the photo album.

"Darling, it's already night.you haven't slept." Ozan comes over to Ameera, rubbing her head with affection.

"I'm not sleepy yet. I miss my mom and dad."

"You're gonna need a lot of rest, yank. You are sleeping... Tomorrow I'll take you to Dad's grave."

"Promise yes..."

"I can also go to the hospital with papa, right?"

"Yes... Now go to sleep, yeah! Look, Er the same El has been sleeping well. "

After several days in the hospital, Hendri's health condition improved. He began to eat. Ameera came every day and forced her to eat.

The middle-aged man felt his youngest daughter was angel-hearted. Although he was once very evil to Ameera, but Ameera forgave him easily unconditionally.

"Come, Papa. Eat a little more," Ameera once fed the middle-aged man. He forced her to finish her food.

"That's enough. Papa satiety. You look a lot like your mother in pushy terms,"

Hearing Hendri mention his mother's name, Ameera became enthusiastic. Ameera knows nothing about her mother other than her childhood memories because during her lifetime, Rudi never talked about her late mother.

"Papa, tell me about mom" Ameera said.

Hendri then remembered the woman who had filled his life. The memories of Ratna were still evident in his memory.

"He's exactly like you" said Hendri. "His face, his smile, his behavior... It's all inside you."

"really?"

"Yes. At first getting to know each other, we were hostile. Papa thinks she's a strange girl. You know, he mastered martial arts just like you. Your father taught her."

"Tell me everything, Papa.." pinta Ameera excitedly.

"Your mother's a passionate girl, but a little fierce. He used to beat up papa if he spoke a little wrong."

Ameera smiled to herself hearing the story. Recalling the beginning of his marriage, he often beat up Ozan if Ozan's words upset him.

"Is mother really like that?"

"Are you like that too?"

Ameera was just grinning the horse at the question. He just found out if his mother is also a girl who mastered martial arts and likes to lightly hit. And now the nature of the bars is down on Elmira, who often beats Erzan if annoyed.

Are those bars dropping, huh?

Hasan then told me everything. About his friendship with Ratna, and about his friendship with Rudi that intertwined since they were children.

Hendri cried every time he remembered his best friend. Ameera might forgive him. However, Hendri would never be able to forgive himself.

He was drowning in deep regret. For nearly six years in prison. Not a day goes by without remembering his best friend.

"I'm sorry Papa Ameera. Everything that happens to you is the fruit of Papa's evil. Papa can never give you anything. But papa took all that was precious in your life."

"Don't say that, Papa. Rangga was right, I didn't see everything from Papa's point of view. " Ameera clasped Hendri's hand, "I'm sorry I got angry with papa. I even wanted to shoot Papa. I know Papa's living a life that's not easy."

Rudi, I owe you my whole life. You shaped my son into a strong woman.

"Papa... Let's start everything from the beginning. I'm going to spend Papa's money for fun" said Ameera, who began issuing her maths.

Hendri chuckled at Ameera's words. Of course Ameera would not be able to spend Hendri's treasure. Because Hendri is someone who is very rich and has companies everywhere.
