The Sky for Luna
S 3'S. Chapter 3

Chapter 3: Worrying

"It's time you stopped at the crossroads, hold my hand. Because wherever you walk, I'm by your side." - El-El

"Go to Sydney..."

El's sudden remark made Luna choke. That dinner moment turned weird afterwards. Arsya who was next to Luna stroked her brother's back gently after thrusting a glass of water at him.

"Ehm.." Luna cleared her throat controlling her cough as well as her shock.

"I'll prepare everything, you don't have to worry..." Really, Luna did not like the smile El gave her. He could see a lot of meaning there.

"But I didn't say I wanted to go to college there..." Keukeuh Luna's. It had been a few days since El had discussed this, and Luna had always switched the conversation. But now, El actually made her forced to answer because she floated it in front of all the family members.

"If you don't want to, there's no way you're signing up" cynical Arga. This man was as injured as El, as unreasonable. But, if that was what Luna wanted, she could accept it.

"I told you I'm just trying" Luna frustrated.

"It's okay brother. I'm proud to have a sister studying abroad" Arka said.

"But I'm not--but

Luna's words hung as she looked at all the gazes straight at her. He felt he didn't have to continue this. No one will believe him.

"Whatever!" Luna put the spoon in her hands rough. He lost his appetite.

"Why are you so eager to throw me out?" Luna was upset. He took his cell phone on the table and without hesitation stepped out of the dining room.

"Wouldn't you go after her?" Arsya asked El who showed no sign that he was going to do anything.

"It seems like Luna needs some alone time," replied El calmly. He did not want to make Luna get upset. Honestly, El's been a little tired lately. The endless work made him cramped. A little bit of it affected his emotions. As of now, El feels that maybe he and Luna could have gotten into a fight if he forced himself to talk to Luna.

"Continue eating you..." El smiled and left the dining room.

Meanwhile, in the courtyard of the house, Luna was kicking the origin of the stone in the grass there. He grumbled, his mouth twitching all his heart.

Recently El has changed. Since her miscarriage, El's attitude has been cold towards her. He was getting busy with work, and there was almost no time to talk to him. Luna wants to follow her ego and yells at El if she wants to be noticed. However, his tongue was always twisted whenever he saw his younger siblings, feeling how El was already very responsible for looking after and caring for them all.

"I'm sorry!" Luna squatted down while plucking the weeds in front of her. He no longer knew how to ease the discomfort in his heart. That was when a call came into his phone, making the flat object emit flickering light several times.

"Yes, hello?" Luna put a forced smile on her face. He knew the caller couldn't see it. But somehow he felt the need to do that considering who had just made the call.

"Yes, mommy. Luna's there now..." Flicking her lips, Luna asked Kai, dropping her off.

"Did Miss tell Mr El?" Kai pulls out his phone, tries to contact his senior, who else if not Kris.

"If you don't want to, I'll take the motorcycle!" Luna threatened while pouting, making Kai surprised.

"Please come in, Miss..." Kai opened the car door. Luna looked at him lazily. He's not in the mood to ride in the car anymore.

"Enter Miss, or I will be punished later if Miss desperate to ride ojeg at night like this," he continued.

"Aghhhh!!!" Luna stomped her feet violently. Forced, he got into the car.

On the way, Luna only daydreamed while occasionally sighing long. He stared blankly at the road he had been walking on.

Until finally, they arrived at the house. El's parents' house, where they first lived before El bought a large house with many rooms for him and his sisters. A big house that was very different from the small house that belonged to his father and his mother first. A sense of sadness and loneliness began to creep in Luna's heart as the words father and mother passed through her mind.

"Mami kangen with you. This weekend, why don't you guys visit? If you don't call, you won't come either... But, why are you alone, where's El?"

Mami's question came to a halt instantly as Luna scattered in her arms. "Mommy.." she said slowly.

"Yes, Luna..." Mami stroked Luna's head slowly, down Luna's straight hair, then dyed a little Luna's head.

"Huhoo.. Hicks..." Apparently can't. Luna could no longer hold back her cries.

"We'll sit down, baby. Let's get you comfortable..."

Luna did not pierce the words of mami, she just let mami drag her steps.

Without Luna noticing, she was already sitting on the sofa with her mother sitting next to her, hugging her even tighter. "What's the matter, baby?" tanyanya gently.

Luna raised her head, she looked at mami with tears flowing down her eyes. From a long time ago, he did not have time to feel the figure of the mother. Mother did have time to be sweet to him, even if only for a moment. But, at this moment, Luna felt she needed a comfortable place, to lean on.

"Mommy..." Luna sulks spoiled. He buried his head again in the woman's chest, trying to stop her crying.

"Yes, honey... Wh why? Is El evil to you? Let mommy pinch him later..." Mami's joke made Luna chuckle for a moment in her cry.

"Yes mi, sister El naughty," murmured Luna. He moved his body away and began to tell stories.

"I don't want to go to college. I just want to work. Can't you?" Ask with eyes full of hope.

"It's a pity that it's like that, Luna. You're a smart kid, you can get a better job if you go to college..." Mami patiently explained, while occasionally patting the palm of Luna that was in her grasp.

"But it's better to make money than to waste it. I feel unfair to Brother El who has worked hard, while I just study without being able to help anything..." Actually, Luna felt like she was a parasite in the El family. She and her sisters just hitchhiked through life doing nothing in return.

"If I go to college, let alone abroad, it's definitely cost me more money" Luna said. Mami nodded in understanding, while still listening to Luna's words.

"Luna, mommy wants to ask you something. You answered yes..." Mami rubbed Luna's tears that were still slightly flowing on the girl's white cheeks. Luna nodded at a glance.

"If, for example, your little sister, Arya, says she doesn't want to go to school because she wants to help you make money, how do you feel?"

Luna rounded her eyes. "Of course I'll ban him. He was a kid, why work? Just let me!"

"Well, that's what El feels." Mami gave her smile to Luna, leaving Luna speechless. "He loves you. He wants the best for you. He wants you to do what you want, enjoy your life as you should..."

Luna is confused, mami has a point. If you switch roles, Luna is sure, she will do the same thing as El did.

"But, mi," Luna still did not give up on denying. "Luna didn't want to go to Sydney. Why does Brother El always ask Luna to study there?"

"He knows your heart..." Mami patted Luna's shoulder slowly. "You must be interested in studying there, right?" Mami looked directly at Luna's bead eyes. "You don't lie. Don't deny your feelings. Don't cover it up and be true to yourself..."

Luna plays her fingers. "Yes, mi.." she replied slowly. "When visiting the educational exhibition, Luna imagined it. It would be nice to go to college there..."

"Then what's the problem?"

"Luna forgot that Luna had four sisters. Luna couldn't have left them." Luna bit her lip. "And so..."

"And what too?"

"And also, Luna is not ready if you have to be far from El's sister..."
