Chapter 53: The Wasted

"The unfulfilled hope and promise is a painful combination that can lead to the despair of life." - El-El.

Arga, Arka, Arsya and Arya come with Kris. Shortly after, I came with Reza. Everyone has gathered.

Luna greeted Arya with a smile as wide as she could. He pulled Arya into his arms, letting go of longing because he had not seen his youngest sister for a long time.

"So why don't you ever go home?" Arya's question made Luna want to cry. Luna had to take a deep breath so her tears wouldn't come out.

"Sir Luna is busy working with her sister, Arya." replied El helping Luna. He stroked Arya's head gently and then embraced her as well.

"Ohhhh... So Luna's now at work?" ask Arya plain. "I don't think our sister loves us anymore because we don't go home..."

El grabs Luna's head and pulls her in his arms. She was sure Luna would be crying soon. And sure enough, after that Luna's body shook slowly. El rubbed Luna's back while whispering. "Not now..."

Luna closed her mouth tightly. He nodded in El's arms and then tried to turn his attention to anything pleasant. Anytime other than this time.

"Definitely dear dong.." replied El to Arya. "Later Arya play ya to sister's house... Sister ready for a lot of food that Arya made."

Arya's eyes immediately sparkled hearing that. "Really brother?" tanyanya.

El nodded. "of course... I'll pick you up later..." El swipes Arya's head again, then gives Reza the code to take care of Arya. Just Reza, he needs Kris. After all, Reza is better at friendly face business.

Anzay's... I was told to be a baby sitter. I'm secretary woy....!

Sighing violently, Reza approached Arya. "Do you want a jajan? Brother's going out, come with yuk..."

"Es cream?" arya asked expectantly.

"OK..." Reza forms the letter 'o' with his index finger and thumb. They joined hands to the exit of the room.

After the departure of Arya and Reza, the atmosphere turned awkward. Arka and Arsya became the most confused parties here. While Father and Arga are still fumbling about what really happened.

"Please sit down first..." Alex is trying to be a friendly host now. "Let me prepare the drink..."

Actually Arga was very surprised when suddenly there was a phone coming in from brother Tyo, who asked him to immediately go to Alex's house. He simply ignored the message that contained a directional link to the address he had to go to. But not long after closing his eyes, a knock on the door woke him up. Which turns out to be Arsya, saying that they should immediately prepare to go somewhere.

A astonished Arga stepped out of the room and found the source of the problem. Which of course is the om's man. Sighing tiredly, he went back into his room to change his clothes and prepare. Like that, they reached Alex's house with empty minds.

Things that are not much different happen to me. He was struggling with his computer when suddenly Reza appeared and asked him to stop working. The confused father had not responded to anything, but Reza said that there were things he had to do and they had to leave immediately. Dad tidied up the contents of his bag and without hesitation headed to the place Reza meant. Then they reached this house. The more confused he was when he knew that this was not a matter of work. Certainly not, because he saw all his family members were here too.

El started the conversation after everyone there chose their seats. "I'm sorry to interrupt your time..." El waited for a moment, waiting for a response from all who were there. Some of them nodded slowly and some looked at him questioningly. It's good enough.

"Welcome to Mr. Daniel's house..." El pointed at Daniel who then gave an awkward smile. He was introduced to be made ashamed later, the inner Daniel. Hopefully it's not that bad.

"Yes, welcome to my home. Consider it your own home..."

The impatient arka immediately fell. "Why are we called here, brother?" he looked straight at El. He did not know Daniel.

El almost forgot. Arka's right, maybe only Luna knows about this. The others don't know anything.

"Ehm... Sorry if I was sassy..." El looked at Father and Mother Luna at a glance then continued his words. "I'll tell you some personal things, which I hope you don't mind..."

El clasped Luna's hand as he spoke. He did it to make Luna calm during this conversation and also as a restraint of her emotions. Support each other of course.

"Actually, Luna is a stepson. Daniel is Papa Luna." Some people look surprised, especially Arka and Arsya. Those who know nothing the most.

"So... Luna's sister isn't.. Father's son?" Arsya's overly innocent question made Arka shut the boy's mouth.

"Just shut up and listen. Comment later." whispered. Well, of course everyone heard it. That whisper.

Arka opened his defence after Arsya nodded slowly. They then looked at El, expecting further information.

"Sir Daniel is Luna's real father. Besides Luna, Alex is also her biological child...."

"Ja-g

Arsya immediately shut her mouth because she was stared at by Arka sharply. He had just said a syllable. All right, he's caliphing this time. Arsya covered her mouth with her own hand so that the same incident did not repeat itself for the third time.

In contrast to Arka and Arsya who acted silly, Arga put on an unusually upset face. He doesn't like this fact. He dislikes the fact that shows that in him and Luna the same blood flows. It turns out that his hopes were too grandiose to be real.

Dad bent his face not like it. After El tells Daniel the matter, the pieces of the past begin to spin in his head as if throwing him deep into the moment. The time between him and his wife. Memories engraved between Hendra and the Goddess.

***

"Why you?" asked Hendra doubtfully. His best friend looked down while crying.

The goddess only shook her head sadly. Hendra was indeed his friend, but he felt unsure to tell the man the problem.

"Tell me, maybe it'll make you better" he said. "I promise I won't tell anyone." Hendra patted Dewi's back softly, trying to calm the woman down. He looked disheveled with sad eyes. Hendra couldn't bear to see it.

After a long breath, he decided to reveal his secret. "I'm pregnant." she said briefly.

Hendra spent a few seconds afterwards to digest what the Goddess had said. He began to understand the problem. "Who.." he asked slowly. "Who did it?"

The goddess looked at Hendra while sobbing. From both corners of his eyes were already tears flowing down. "Daniel.." she answered softly.

That's right the playboy...

Hendra cursed in his heart. Daniel, is a handsome young boy band. Her cool appearance and ideal body become the dream of every woman. Not to mention his status as a member of a music group, making him judged by women indiscriminately. His popularity is increasing, making Daniel seem to take advantage of his current situation to get everything he wants and whatever he wants.

And Dewi, is one of the many women she has ever dated. I don't know what got into his friend's mind. Already know that Daniel is a crocodile man, but he still clings and willingly deceived consciously.

"Have you told him?" asked Hendra impatiently. "If he doesn't want to take responsibility let me beat him up later..." Hendra raised his fist into the air, making movements like a person fighting.

The goddess nodded slowly. "Yet... I'm afraid.." he said. This makes Hendra even more upset. Why fear when he is a victim? But maybe not either. They must be willing to do it together. No one can be considered a victim.

"So how do you want?" Hendra turned the question to the Goddess. The girl looked gloomy and confused. He certainly doesn't know what to do either. "Tell Daniel. I'll keep you company..."

The goddess responded to Hendra's second persuasion. He looked at her asking. "Do you want to help me?"

"Of course..." Hendra gave his best smile, trying to raise the spirit of the Goddess.

"What if he doesn't want to?" ask the Goddess of Parau. It's a dilemma now.

"He'll want to... You're his girlfriend..." Entertain Hendra. Indeed, Dewi is one of the lucky women who can become Daniel's official girlfriend. Honestly, the Goddess is beautiful. One of the most popular girls here. She was of ideal slim stature with smooth white skin. Her wavy black long hair framed her sweet face. A pointed nose, round eyes and perfectly thin lips without even trying. He also has a good personality. Friendly and understanding. Hendra must have shot him if he was not aware that they were on a different level.

"alright.. I'll try to talk to him." The goddess nodded confidently. Hendra gave both thumbs up for the spirit of his friend. He always prayed for the best.

After a long time without seeing, the Goddess met Hendra. He told me everything that happened.

"Thank you you for saying that to me the other day..." The eyes of the Goddess sparkled happily. "If it wasn't for you, maybe I wouldn't have said it until now..."

Hendra smiled. "So how? He wants to, right?" tanyakanya. Judging from his face, Hendra already knew that the answer was yes.

"Yes, dong..."

Tuh, right....

"We're getting married religiously this week. That's why I'm looking for you now. I want to invite you too. It should, of course, be the family present. But if it wasn't for you, maybe this marriage wouldn't have happened..." The goddess was very grateful to Hendra. He was grateful he told Hendra not to the others.

"Together, Goddess... I'm trying to come...."

But fate says something else.

That morning, Hendra was well dressed, with black trousers and a batik shirt. She was going to the house of the Goddess, attending her friend's wedding. His right hand holds a pouch containing wedding gifts. Hopefully the Goddess likes it, her inner self.

After the motorbike was parked neatly in the Dewi's yard, Hendra went inside. The door of the house was wide open, he entered without hesitation. Just wanted to say a greeting, he was greeted with frenetic people who cursed furiously.

"What's wrong?" hendra asked confusedly to the person closest to her.

"I don't know, the deck." replied the mother. "I'm just a neighbor here to help. I just heard it said the groom didn't come."

Hendra was shocked not to play. That guy could run away on the wedding day.

"Why didn't you come, Mom?" tanyanya while clenching her hands tightly. Just be aware that the reason is unacceptable. Hendra himself would approach Daniel and beat him all out. It's a criminal kel*min doesn't know himself!

"I don't know, Mom..." The mother shrugged her shoulders. "Just ask her family there..." He appointed a father who wears batik just like himself. He also saw the Goddess next to the man. The goddess looked very beautiful that day, with white kebaya and thin make-up makeup. So natural and sweet, Hendra could not resist the pounding hammering in his chest.

Slowly, after being able to control his pounding heart, Hendra stepped over to the Goddess, about to say hello as well as ask about what happened.

"Goddess.." call her slow. The woman looked at him with an unreadable look. The goddess looked angry with a flash of emotion in her eyes. Hendra approached her slowly, patted her on the shoulder once then asked. "What's wrong?"

The goddess clenched her hands tightly. "Daniel..." The voice of the Goddess rattled in Hendra's ears.

"Why? Didn't he come? Let me get to her place and drag her here..." Hendra did not accept Randy's cowardly attitude. Guys are uncivilized.

"He's not coming. He sent me an invitation letter...." The goddess gave the letter to Hendra. The curious Hendra immediately opened it and read the contents of the letter.

Daniel's name is clearly imprinted there, but not with the Goddess. Other female names. As if that alone wasn't painful enough, there was another fact written there. Hendra continued reading. And he was so shocked. The date listed there is today's date. It is clear that according to Daniel, the Goddess is just a joke. He may choose the same wedding date as the two candidates. One is chosen and the other is discarded. The goddess is the one who enters in the second option, who is cast aside.

"He's so insolent!" It felt like Dewi slapped the guy, punched him and kicked him to death. How outrageous. Has Daniel only considered himself a backup option? It is not necessary if the first choice is fulfilled.

Hendra stroked the Goddess' arm to help ease the woman's anger. Not only had the Goddess cursing, a voice called out to her. "Sorry then how is this?" asked an old man in neat batik clothes and a black peci on his head.

"Has the bridegroom come?" The goddess swallowed hard. He looked at Hendra.

"This sir, the candidate has arrived." Drawn Hendra's arm to the front of the penghulu.
