Chapter 64: The Missing Room
"In the room of longs, we meet..."
Luna stared at the ground before her. It was like flying into space for a while before being blown to the ground. He doesn't believe, not yet. The reality before him was absurd. His body was stiff and his brain could not think.
ALL THE. NO. NOPE. REAL.
Luna repeated those three words many times. He still did not feel that everything was real, until the warm fingers infiltrated into a braid with his fingers, grasping it tightly. It was El's big hand. Luna turned her head towards the man who was now standing next to her, staring like a confused person. El who saw the face of Luna pulled the girl in her arms.
"I know it's hard for you... Cry baby..." El rubbed Luna's back slowly. "It's happened, you better take it..." El's embrace tightened Luna. Slowly the memory reappeared in his mind.
Luna returned to Mother's place with a bag of food full. Not to forget rice and ice cream. He smiled and knocked on the door. After a few taps and no answer, Luna moved the handle of the door, locked. He tried several times, but there was no result.
Is Mommy out? Do I have to wait? Luna was full of question marks.
A few minutes waiting, Luna started to worry. He knocked on the door again and called several times, not hearing an answer. She was sure that Mother was inside. His feet were still neatly placed in front of the door, not changing as he had been when he left.
"Mother...." Several times Luna called out without success. His shout made the neighbor who lived next door come out and greet him.
"Who is it?" ask a young woman in her 20s.
"Ep... Sorry distracting..." Luna looked polite. "My mother is inside, but I call her not to say..."
Seeing Luna's anxious gaze, the long-haired woman passed through the room divider which was only a calf-high wall in one step. He passed by Luna and approached the door, knocked and called several times and tried to move the handle. But the result is the same as Luna. No answer at all.
"See, I call Mr. Kos..." He ran as fast as he could to the house in the back. And before long, the brother returned with a mustachioed fat father holding the key.
"You who? You're his son?" He pointed at Luna. Luna nodded. "Is he really inside?" Luna nodded again.
Seeing the confident answer from Luna, the gloved father put the key into the door hole and turned it slowly. And by the time they entered, the Goddess was already lying down with blood flowing across the floor of her room.
Shouts echoed and neighbors began to arrive. The pouch that Luna had been holding fell down instantly, its contents scattering to the floor without caring for the owner. Luna thoughtlessly approached her mother and shook her body, trying to resuscitate and keep calling, hoping that there would be one more word for her. But unfortunately, that hope may be too difficult to achieve.
The ambulance arrived a few days later. Luna got into the car with clothes full of blood. Empty look. Everyone around him was busy, not knowing what he was doing. Luna did not understand what was happening. I don't know what he missed. A few minutes ago, Mommy was still talking to him, but why was he lying down like this now. What's wrong?
He looked at the Mother lying in front of him motionless. Some of the health workers in the ambulance were busy providing help. Luna simply fell silent, as if she was still processing everything inside her head that was suddenly like being overloaded and walking as slowly as a snail.
Luna regained her senses as someone shook her body slowly.
"LUNA!" el's cry finally entered into Luna's hearing, bringing Luna back to her consciousness. Luna blinked her eyes several times before finally realizing that she was in El's arms completely.
Throwing in El's arms, Luna regained her memory, and just then, the doctor came out of the action room and told her something she really didn't want to hear. Mother's life is no longer helped....
After that, Luna felt that she was above the clouds. As conscious but also not. He clasped tightly onto a piece of paper containing Mother's last message. His heart was shattered into fragments as he read it. It felt so unreal, and he was devastated to have to witness the incident right before his eyes.
"It's not your fault, baby..." El stroked Luna's head slowly. "We may hope, but God also determines..." Luna still did not budge.
"Khlaskan Mother... He's calm..." Luna's tears finally trickled slowly. He let go of El's embrace and sat down next to the wet mound. Luna stroked the tombstone inscribed with the name of her parents affectionately. After that, he could only realize the situation around him. Father, Arga, Arka and Arsya are mutually reinforcing. There's even Alex, Tyo and his Sweet Besties.
It's all coming together, and it would be beautiful if it wasn't a funeral....
"Darling..." El stroked Luna's head. The girl kept crying from then on.
"Darling..." El called out once more, this time he pulled Luna a little, asking for her attention. "It's overcast, it's raining soon. Let's go home..."
Looking at the motionless Luna, Dad approached her. "Let's go home, Luna..."
"Yes, brother... Let's go..." Arga catches up to Father approaching Luna, the one who seems the most depressed among them.
Luna looked at Father and Arga, as well as her other sisters. They were as sad, as untrustworthy, and just as devastated as he was. While Luna was still hesitating, El pulled her hand up. "They're all waiting for you, baby..."
A second after Luna stood up, Jessika directly hit him, giving a hug that she had snoozed. For how many hours he waited until only they remained. He hugged Luna tightly then whispered right in Luna's ear. "Inget, I've always loved you..." Jessika wiped away Luna's tears, then looked at Luna directly into her eyes. "And it's not just me, it's them..."
Behind Jessika, Reina and Tiara followed in their arms. "Remember us... We're not just there when you're happy... Call us when you're tough... That's why we exist...."
Luna's cries spilled back, she sobbed loudly. "Thank you.." he said in a raucous voice.
"There's me too..." Tyo patted Luna's shoulder slowly.
"Gue too... We're the cement, right?" Sandi also patted Luna's shoulder.
"Don't forget, there's us too..." Luna smiled faintly at the sight of her four siblings lined up, Alex, Arga, Arka and Arsya. Their formation is like a boyband.
"Thank you very much..."
Luna's heart was warm. Yes, it's not alone. Sure, he can get through this... Or that's what he thought would happen...
***
Arya is out of the hospital today. Does Arya know that Mother is dead? Sure oes. Is she crying? Sure. Arya cried the day after hearing the news. Luna patiently calmed her little sister, even though her heart was as poignant as Arya's.
"Welcome, Arya...." Arka deliberately welcomes Arya excessively with a wide smile expands. Arka fengut sok did not care.
"Good day can eat everything..." Arga comes with Arsya who holds a box of Arya's favorite chocolate cake, making the boy's eyes sparkle.
"You can finish all the food.. We've bought a lot inside..." Arga pointed towards the kitchen.
"Gaziness!" Arya exclaimed happily.
Luna took Arya to sit down before she ate the cake. Arya snatched a piece of cake that was in Arsya's hands without hesitation. Luna who saw this smiled for a moment and then went to eat the cake and drinks that her sisters had prepared at the table.
El came in after Luna and her sisters had gathered. He deliberately followed, not wanting to disturb their family time. And after all, he had some things he wanted to take care of, things he would say after this.
"Sister-in-law how are you?" The friendly greeting of Arka who first welcomed El.
"Good..." El smiled then sat down next to Luna.
"Drink first, brother... Don't forget to eat the cake... Delicious loh... Take it easy to buy, really, do not make it yourself... So, it's guaranteed to be safe!" Arsya rounded her finger to form the letter 'O' for OK.
"Haha.. Yeah..." El chuckled softly before finally tasting the drinks and food presented. After a while had passed, El felt it was the right time for him to say that.
"Arga, Arka, Arsya, Arya..." El passed the names of Luna's sisters one by one.
"Yes, brother..." They answered almost simultaneously.
"Why?" ask Arga later.
"Me and Luna are moving into a new house... You guys come with us, right?" They looked at each other confused.
"My wedding party and Luna are held in a week. After that we can stay together. Luna's family is my family too. And you are my sweet little brothers..."
"Haha..." Arga was loud to hear it. Sweet sister she said? A few months ago they even had a boxing fight.
"I'm serious, Arga..." El squinted his eyes displeased.
Arga held back his laughter and said, "yes I know, my dear sister-in-law..." He deliberately pronounces his tone like meledek. El was anxious to reward Arga with a soft tease on the guy's head.
"I'm asking here. Do you want to stay with me and Luna?" ask El again.
"You!" Arya answered first.
"Maybe you should ask me." replied Arga.
"Eh, where's Dad?" chirps Luna then.
"There's a room... I'll call you, brother..." Arga got up from his seat and then stepped casually into Dad's room.
Luna watched Arga until he disappeared from view and then he returned busy with his cake. Things that never bored him, food.
BRACKET!
Their activities stopped instantly when they heard a loud noise from within. El and Arka immediately ran in, approaching the source of the voice, Luna's father's room.
"What the hell, anyway?!" Arka who was about to get angry and said her brother more silent without a sound when he saw Arga who sat next to their father who was lying on the floor.
"I'm calling an ambulance!" The lightning-fast El took the phone out of his pocket and squeezed a series of numbers. The situation turned frantic and gripping until the officer arrived.
Arsya and Arya are waiting outside. The impatient Luna and Arka stared right behind the door, leaving Arga and El inside with the medics. After checking for a moment, one of the officers shook his head. Luna's riveted.
What does that mean? Don't tell...
"Sorry, it looks like a heart attack..."
Luna's body was shed for a moment. Arka caught him. Luna doesn't believe this. Is it not enough to lose Mother? And now God took his father too?
"Sister... sister...!!!" The shriek of Arka was the last thing Luna heard as she lost consciousness.
Arga looked at Luna sadly while squeezing a paper in her hand. Letters, just like Mother, Father also wrote that. As if you know, if the end is soon to pick up...
My dear children, my,
Luna, Arga, Arka, Arsya and Arya... Father's children whom I love most... You are God's best care for Father and Mother... Stay the best...
To my departed soulmate, who,
Thank you for taking care of me and our children... I was hoping you would come back to my side, but you chose to go somewhere else... You know, I love you that big... Wait for me in the room, my dear...
Seriate...
