Chapter 62: Ruined

"This is me, now... RUINED..."

The goddess stared at the highway below in silence. He placed both his hands on the iron barrier, then leaned his head that felt heavy. All of these problems seemed to squeeze him and then crush him until he was unable to rise.

First his family, and now his job. Since the news of the affair about him spread, everyone seemed to have the right to comment, give advice and judge even did not hesitate to gossip and blaspheme openly. The friend who had been close, now disappeared without a trace. No matter what happens, act as if they have forgotten that they have known someone named Goddess.

As easy as a person's heart changes, in a second a friend can turn into an opponent, and unfortunately, this time, the opponent is still the opponent. The goddess felt herself to have no grip or place to lean on when she was falling.

"Dad..." Finally one call came from his lips. The goddess ran her finger, down the cold barrier that was now the place where she was supported, stroking the iron rod, as if the thing in her hand was her husband, the person who turned out to be that important in her life.

Cheated...

Women don't know themselves...

P*stiff....

A husband that good is less...

Poor son has a cheap mother like her....

His family must be ashamed, indeed a base of disgrace...

Starting from whispering innuendo to blatant speech continues to spin repeatedly in the mind of the Goddess, making her sick. He wants to eliminate it if he can.

The goddess rested her chin on the hard object, leaving her body fully supported on the edge of the bridge. He glanced towards his wrist which was involuntarily peeking as his arm moved. There's a plaster wound cover over there, big size.

"Hhh..." After a long sigh, the woman pulled the coarse plaster and threw it away carelessly. There was a huge gaping wound there that stared back at him. A cut from a cutter he had at work. Sometimes he could not bear to hear all the gossip, it was better to die. Just then, his brain ordered him to do something, anything that could ease the pain in his heart. Anything that can distract him, anything can.

Unfortunately, it's like opium....

The goddess pulled her sleeves up to her elbows, displaying many scars there. The momentary calm he felt while making other wounds on his body was in fact very comforting. Make himself relieved and feel able to last at least one more day. And so on, until he did not realize it was as many lines as he made in his hand.

The goddess lowered her head, hiding her face in the indentation of her hand which was on top of the iron buttress.

A woman who cannot take care of her husband and children... Failed...

After all these years, and he only made a mistake once, but like this one received. The firmness of his heart for the past dozen years was like dust blown by the wind, flying cleanly without any residue...

The goddess closed her eyes, immersing her heart, was actually what had kept her alive until this very moment...

RIPPED

Be ill....

maybe the word I always felt...

Browbeat...

it could have been more than that asa embedded...

Crumpled...

it broke and shattered into fragments...

The light is long gone,

there's only a dark here...

Sweet is not eternal,

only the faithful bitter...

Torn, that's what happened...

Melting, until it can't be repaired...

Damaged, never to be whole again...

I'm trying to figure out what's valuable that I can still have,

Scavenging to each edge trying to reach the wish that I can not master...

It seems like it no longer exists...

The goddess loosened the straps of her bag, letting it fall itself down, right next to her feet. He stared straight at the road, seeing several vehicles passing by without hesitation. Maybe it'll hurt a little, her mind. But certainly not as bad as he is feeling right now.

Surely you have seen the news on television, which tells about how someone ended his life just out of frustration. Silly, you thought, laughing amusedly. But not when you experience it yourself. Look at me now, my feet have climbed this barrier without hesitation. The path down there seemed to be heaven in my eyes, promising comfort.

Nah!

The shoes that the Goddess wore rang as she climbed the barrier. The people around who previously only walked straight, one by one began to turn their heads, staring inquisitively, while thinking and waiting, observing in silence, hesitating to go forward let alone act.

"After this I will be calm..." The goddess whispered to herself.

The goddess closed her eyes no matter the circumstances. This world is evil to him, maybe the other world can be more friendly. Goodbye to sweet memories...

BRACKET!

A loud noise was heard, followed by a noise. The goddess who previously felt that her body had floated, was now restrained. His hand was forcefully pulled by someone and his body hit the supporting iron hard.

He looked at the man who pulled his hand, not at all the person he knew. "GET OFF!! WHO YOU??"

But it seemed like the Goddess's efforts were in vain, the man was extremely strong, he could not let go of his hand. And now it's getting harder as some people show up and pull themselves up.

"Who are you?" The goddess stepped back, but her hands were already tightly blocked by the person who helped her just now. Looking at it again, this person seemed to be no stranger...

"Mom better not do that..." The man looked at the Goddess sharply, making the woman wrinkle with both brown eyeballs that emitted flashes of anger.

The goddess was silent for a moment, realizing, a few well-dressed people surrounded her, it seemed like this boyfriend. If so, it seems that his plan must be delayed.

"Who are you?" Although he had asked many times, but the person before him was reluctant to answer. "Let go or I'll scream..."

"I'm Kris, Mr. El's assistant." Hearing a name, the Goddess fell silent. Now he remembers everything. This man was the one who was with his son-in-law that day, the day that everything turned to ashes.

"Come with us..." The goddess lowered her head and followed. There was no point in making a drama, especially after he knew who was in front of him.

Kris invited Dewi over, then went down the stairs while avoiding the gaze of the people. Actually he wanted to directly bring the Goddess away, but it seemed like it would attract too much attention.

"Please sit down, Mom..." They found a supermarket on the side of the road that had chairs and tables on its porch, and sat there. Kris watched everyone passing by, some of them still whispering, it seemed that the news of the suicide attempt just now had not subsided. He still had to wait for a moment to bring the Goddess away without suspicion.

Having previously asked his partner to buy him a drink, Kris gave it to Dewi. "Please drink, Mom. After this we can go." The goddess took the bottle that Kris offered, opened the lid and gulped down the contents slowly. Sweet, tea with honey.

The goddess let out a long sigh, now that she was stuck with this man, it was not until when. Worse he could not get angry, the protests even made requests, he was too doubtful if the person would listen to him.

"Mother!" The cry of a girl disperse the reverie of the Goddess. He turned his head and found Luna getting out of the car and running towards him.

A warm feeling spread across the Goddess' body as the girl hugged her. "Good thing Mother is fine..." The goddess could hear the worried tone and sobbing there. He would usually feel annoyed whenever he was near Luna, but for now, perhaps, it could be, the last chance, the Goddess letting her hold him in a moment.

"Mother where have you been? Arya's sick. He's in the hospital now. He calls Mother constantly." Luna spoke non-stop, with no pauses or commas. He was too excited to tell a story until he forgot El who followed him earlier. Luna stopped when she saw her mother looking back, as she looked at El there.

"Sore, Mother..." El gave a courteous greeting that was replied by a faint smile by the Goddess. He looked at his daughter-in-law for a moment, a handsome and well-established man. There seems to be a bit of luck in Luna, and for now she wishes sincerely for Luna to live well, unlike her.

"How about we continue in the car. We can go straight to the hospital..." El's speech was greeted with an enthusiastic nod from Luna. Without hesitation, he pulled the hand of the Goddess into the car, got in and sat next to each other, not wanting to be apart.

Honestly, along the way Luna had been thinking the worst among the worst. He whined all the way. Even he should be grateful because El was just silent and faithful to listen to his complaints when he was sure that the man was just as panicked as he was. El calms him down, and he does need that.

Luna stroked the hand of Mother who was in her grasp. For the first time, throughout his life, as far as he can remember, this was the first day when he and Mother were this close. I want it to feel like he's leaning back and spoiling longer and closer, but there's still a sense of shyness, and after all now's not the right time.

"Mother where have you been all this time? Why leave the house?" Luna, who was hunted with curiosity, asked Mommy. It was better to ask directly than his brain was filled with the preconceived notions whispered by the demons.

The goddess looked at Luna, wanting to be angry but powerless. He could only silently respond to Luna's innocence. There is no point in getting angry now. At the moment, everything feels wrong. Himself and his life.

"There's..."

How happy Luna was to hear Mommy saying with a smile. He was impatient to meet Mother with her sisters.

The journey lasted for a blink of an eye, Luna pulled her mother's hand towards Arya's ward. He wants Mommy to meet his sister soon.

"Yes..."

Luna opened the door and found that all her sisters had gathered, and there was another one there. Fathering...
