Now, I'm praying to God,
You'll give me more chance, girl
I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you
When you breathe I want to be the air for you
I'll be there for you
I'de live and I'd die for you
~I'll Be There For You, Bon Jovi~
I was sitting in one of the cafes in the area around where I live. In accordance with the agreement I agreed with him a few weeks ago. At that time I received a phone call from someone I didn't know. And when I picked him up, he introduced himself. "Mahdi Mitra Adhytama". Yes, that name or more familiarly called by the name of Mahdi. If you ask me if I remember him, then the answer is yes, I remember him. Right, right to remember. Because how could I forget it. He was the only man close to my little girl. The only man she dared to introduce in front of all of us as her doctor a few months ago as the reunion unfolded. And he was the man I knew once occupied Ara's heart in the past and whether or not it had been until now.
I know that from Vreya's explanation a few months ago. When I intended to demand an explanation from her about the reason why she didn't tell Ara the slightest bit about me. It was as if it had been done on purpose so that Ara would really not remember me anymore.
Flashbacks
I was standing a few feet away from the toilet at Cafe Sky way, waiting for Vreya to come out of the ladies' room. When she came out, she found me standing with the hand I put on my chest. He seemed to know what I meant standing there.
"What's wrong?" ask her cynically to me.
"Vrey, I need an explanation." I asked.
"What other explanation? Isn't everything clear?"
"No..! You lied to Vrey, you hid the truth about me to Ara. Nope..! You don't even want Ara to remember me, do you?" my toilet. And Vreya just kept silent. "Vrey..," I said in a rather high tone.
"Yes, right. I hid about you eke him. And I don't plan to tell you the truth about you being with him. Because I don't want him to get hurt, Gha." explains Vreya.
"Ma,, you mean loe...?"
"Gha, I don't want him to want any more of you. I don't want the truth about Loe who turns out to be the jerk that used to benefit him,"
"Vrey, I don't..."
"Gue knew it was all he wanted. He wants to do it all for you. And he sacrificed everything for you without even asking. He sincerely did everything for Loe Gha.. The tapia pa that he got from Loe, he just got in pain. He was always there for you and helped all your difficulties. But, Loe couldn't even do one for him. Even when he actually falls and needs you to be next to him, you don't even have a Gha. He never asked for a reply for anything he did, he sincerely did it" Vreya explained, shedding tears.
"Vreys.net....,"
"So I beg Gha, please don't try to make him remember you again. It was enough for him Gha, he had already suffered enough so let him be like this now Gha. He's too innocent to believe that loe is where he used to depend, even though you never existed when he needed to..,"
"But...Vreys...,"
"Gue beg Gha, let my best friend be happy without remembering loe," pinta Vreya while holding her hands together in front of her chest as she pleaded with me deeply.

Deg, do you know what I felt back then? The girl suffered. The girl suffered because of me and I got sick and hated myself. I never realized that my phone used to be embroidered because the call was when she really needed me. But, I always ignored those calls because I thought that it was not as important as usual. I've missed times where he really fell and needed me.
I have always regretted all that past even now as I try to stay flat and sip the coffelatte I ordered a few minutes ago at this cafe. I offered some menus to someone who was sitting right in front of me. Yeah, he's coming. The man who once occupied my best friend's heart is now in front of me.
"What do you want to order?" my many. I called him "gold" because he was two years older than me. But that's not the reason either. More precisely the reason was because I followed the friends who called him that way.
"No. No need to Erlangga, I did not take long. Just want to chat with you for a while and give this," he said while presenting a small book with a pink cover.
I opened the book slowly and read scanned some of the writings listed there. I was surprised for a moment.
"This....," I asked.
"Yes, it's a diary." he explained. And I still don't understand what he meant to give it to me. "That's Ara's diary" she explained later.
Deg, I was again struck by lightning in surprise. And now curiosity fills my whole brain.
"Why you...?"
"Tap..but.why me?"
"Vreya says that if you may regret past events and want to make up for your past mistakes then this is the time" explained Mahdi. "Ara wants her memory to come back completely now. He did not want to forget the faces and faces of his friends anymore. He said it felt like he was a bad person who did not greet his friend back when crossing the road or when he was greeted and did not say because he had completely forgotten," he explained again.
"Then..?"
"Therefore, please ask Erlangga to remember her past in the book. The past when he was in college,"
That request, this man asked me to help Ara recover her memories. Not only that even now Vreya also doesn't mind Ara remembering her past with me.
"But..does Mas Mahdi not mind if Ara remembers everything back?" my many. As a man I knew that this man in front of me was putting his heart on Ara. That is my instinct as a man. So easily I guessed the feelings of others, while realizing my own feelings could not. Yeah, that's me.
"No. I don't mind. It's true I prefer him now. Who can't remember anything because that way I can always be next to him and make up for all the mistakes I used to make" he explained. "If she recalls everything, maybe I can't be by her side anymore even if it's just as a doctor who takes care of her" he explained.
"Mas Mahdi, why me?"
"Because Vreya says that almost 95% of you can understand the meaning and who the person written in the book is. Ara had repeatedly read the book and tried to remember it but she never succeeded and always ended up unconscious a few minutes after reading it,"
"Wouldn't Ara have searched for this book if she realized it was missing?"
"God is not a Gha. Ara has many of the same books as that. If he could not find the book he would have read his other diary to try to remember the events or events written there,"
*****
I finally nodded at Mas Mahdi's request. Soon, he said goodbye to leaving because there was business to be done. A few minutes after his departure "Dear God Avenged Sevenfold" from my mobile phone embroidered and displayed Vreya's name on his screen.
Vreya Calling :
"Hallo..," said someone across the street...,"
Calling of Erlangga :
"Yes." I replied.
Vreya Calling :
"Gha, please help Ara this time," she asked to the point. "I knew this would hurt her a lot when she remembered everything. But, this is all his wish. And as a friend I can only obey him and wish him all the best,"
"Yes..," I said briefly. Not because I was angry with him. But, it has become my habit to answer briefly like this.
Vreya Calling :
"I trust Ara to you, please don't hurt her. If you've read the book, you'll understand why I asked Mas Mahdi to give you the book,"
Calling of Erlangga :
"Okay, Vrey, I'll try to read it and make a decision afterwards.
Vreya Calling :
"Thank you, I believe you will do your best just as Ara once trusted you once did,"
Calling of Erlangga :
"Yes, I'll try,"
Vreya Calling :
"Yes, if so already. I've done a lot of masian.hehe...bye...,"
Calling of Erlangga :
"Bye," I said, ending my conversation with Vreya.
