The Phoenix Reborn Book II
Chapter 22 The Troublemaker

Huang Miaoling's impact echoed throughout the room followed by the sound of a loud punch on the table. The usually calm figure of Mingwei Junzhu had turned filled with burning emotions. The usual etiquette maintained was thrown away by Huang Miaoling, no longer caring about the existence of Wang Junsi and Wu Meilan whose positions were clearly higher than his.

Although Huang Miaoling's attitude was not in accordance with manners, it could even be considered disrespectful because it was shown in front of Wu Meilan and Wang Junsi, respectively, but Princess Wu strangely felt a little admiration for the First Miss Huang. Huang Miaoling was furious, his demeanor unworthy to be shown before Princess Wu and the Fourth Prince of Shi kingdom, his, but every movement he showed and the aura surrounding the girl was so graceful and authoritative.

No finger raised or pointed, no indecent words came out. There was only a punch on the table that spread such intense pressure and stifled the chest.

‘Like the figure of an empress,’ inner Wu Meilan involuntarily.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door of Wu Meilan's room. “Chairman, horse carriage has been prepared.” It was Xiaoming's voice.

Hearing this, Huang Miaoling who was still shrouded in emotion immediately tried to stand up. The girl knew that if she didn't do that, Liang Fenghong would have carried her to the carriage. With a fiery rage within him after the man's intention to divulge everything, Huang Miaoling was unwilling to get close to Liang Fenghong. After all, the girl realized the strength on her limbs had returned in part, walking was not a problem.

Huang Miaoling stood up from his chair and saluted Wang Junsi and Wu Meilan. “Mr Princess, Fourth Prince, I say goodbye,” he said quickly as he started walking towards the door of the room to get out. However, the next second, the girl was forced to be shocked. “Ah!”

Liang Fenghong quickly raised Huang Miaoling's body and carried it easily. The man's face was flat as he bowed slightly to Wu Meilan to leave, Huang Miaoling who was inside his arms could only be dumbfounded. “Mr Princess, I said.” He turned his gaze to the widened Fourth Prince and nodded his head.

“What are you doing!?” hiss Huang Miaoling while trying to hit the chest of the man who was carrying it. However, no matter how many times he hit the man and thrashed, Liang Fenghong did not retaliate and simply fell silent. ‘What is he mentally ill?!’ maki the girl is in heart.

The instant Wu Meilan's room door opened due to Liang Fenghong's leg kick, Huang Miaoling could only give up and hold back his anger. No, not because he was shocked or afraid of the man carrying her, but because he was worried that there would be rumors spread among the servants and royal guards of Wu.

Calm quickly enveloped the First Miss Huang's face as her head leaned against Liang Fenghong's chest. The girl did so to show the servants and bodyguards that she was so weak that she needed to accept the over-treatment of Young Master Liang.

However, no matter how great Huang Miaoling's ability to perform, the servants and bodyguards were neither deaf nor blind. They could hear Huang Miaoling's clashing sound a moment ago which was followed by the sound of a punch on the table. Not only that, there was also a complement from the door that was kicked open by the Young Master Liang.

Only a fool would not realize that there is a dispute between the two.

Although he tried hard to maintain his composure, Huang Miaoling could not avoid the blurring of some emotions from his face. As a result, there appeared a frowning expression on his face that made people who do not know mean that he was in pain instead of holding back anger.

Noting the departure of Huang Miaoling and Liang Fenghong, Wang Junsi and Wu Meilan could only be dumbfounded. They would not be surprised if the combination of the grim expression of the Son of Prime Minister Liang and the expression of pain of the First Miss Huang were able to make people misunderstand. If they were not in the room, they would probably think that Huang Miaoling was in such pain and Liang Fenghong was preparing to kill whoever it was that perpetrator who made the girl in his arms in pain!

When the figure of Liang Fenghong was seen trying to get Huang Miaoling into the carriage, the Fourth Prince—who still could not take his eyes off— mumbled, “A-what just happened?”

At this moment, Wu Meilan who was still under the effects of shock could only reply, “T-Young Master Liang .. creepy.”

“There is an exit,” said Rong Gui while paying attention to the movements of the residence in front of him. “That young master of the Liang family, he carried ...” Speech ceased. His forehead wrinkled and his eyes squinted, trying to see more clearly to his target.

“Ah! Third Cousin Brother!” hiss Wei Shulin when he saw the figure of Huang Miaoling being carried out by a man who was none other than Liang Fenghong. His expression looked a little bad when he realized how pale Huang Miaoling's face was. “He was really poisoned.” Wei Shulin's eyes were full of worry. He immediately stood up from his hiding place and started walking in the opposite direction. “We should be back soon.”

The first thing that had burst into Wei Shulin's sight was Liang Fenghong's terrifying expression. Then, the man became even more panicked when he saw Huang Miaoling's pale face and stifled expression. Something obviously happened to the girl, and Wei Shulin had to tell Huang Yade.

“Rong Gui! What are you doing?” hiss Wei Shulin who felt overtaken by time. He approached his subordinate, preparing to reprimand him. However, he was extremely shocked when he saw Rong Gui's paled expression. “Rong Gui, what's wrong with you?” He followed the direction of his subordinate's gaze and looked at the carriage that had begun to leave the temporary residence of Princess Wu.

When the horse carriage disappeared from sight, Rong Gui turned to look at Wei Shulin. “Chairman,”—his view looks so serious—“people in the sling of the man who just came out earlier, is that really your third cousin sister? The First Miss Huang? Mingwei Junzhu?” tanyanya.

Wei Shulin blinked his eyes in confusion. Then, he nodded his head in doubt. “Yes, what's wrong? What's wrong?” he asked by reflex, curious about what was going on in Rong Gui's mind.

At this moment, Rong Gui dropped his gaze. “That man ... woman?” he muttered in a low voice.

Hearing that mutter, Wei Shulin wore an ugly expression that seemed to shout, ‘What madness has possessed this brat?’ Then, he immediately said, “I will return to the department building. It's up to you to come along or keep investigating here. I went.”

Wei Shulin's words retracted Rong Gui's spirit quickly. The man then walked quickly to compensate for the tempo of his chairman's footsteps. He shook his head while closing his eyes for a while before opening them again, awakening himself to focus.

“What Chairman will report this to Minister Huang?” ask Rong Gui.

Knowing that Rong Gui had regained his sanity, Wei Shulin nodded his head. “When news of the existence of the intruder arrived in Brother Cousin's ear, he immediately sent me to watch the movements within the palace, especially the guests from Wu kingdom. I'm sure he had expected something would happen to Third Cousin's Sister,” he replied.

“So ...,” Rong Gui replied weakly. ‘Indeed the Genius Strategist.’

On the way, Rong Gui's occasional forehead wrinkled and his gaze lost focus. Wei Shulin caught some of those changes, but he decided to put them aside because there were more important things to deal with now.

‘Sang First Miss Huang ... she is definitely not a figure to be underestimated,’ thought Rong Gui beyond Wei Shulin's knowledge. The man's eyes radiated determination. ‘I have to meet him to get certainty.’ He raised his gaze and kept the plan in the corner of his mind.

It did not take long for Wei Shulin and Rong Gui to reach the inner defense department building of the palace. When they arrived, the two discovered that Huang Yade was still in the palace of Emperor Weixin. Wei Shulin sent one of his subordinates to inform Huang Yade that he was asking to meet, and he himself decided to wait with Rong Gui at that place.

It took at least fifteen minutes before Wei Shulin and Rong Gui heard the footsteps of a number of people. The footsteps then scattered, leaving a single footstep that led to the room where Wei Shulin and Rong Gui were waiting.

The door of the room opened and a figure of Huang Yade appeared from behind the door with a face shrouded in black fog. He nodded his head to return the greetings from the ones Wei Shulin and Rong Gui voiced and sat down on the chair that was behind his desk.

“Say,” orders Huang Yade firmly, not much pleasantry. Huang Yade's index finger tapped impatiently on the table, revealing his mood of being devoid of patience.

Wei Shulin explained everything he had seen as well as the reports of each of his subordinates scattered throughout the palace. The longer Huang Yade heard the story of her cousin, the darker the forced expression on her face. In the end, Huang Yade's head was bowed as her hands twitched the trunk of her nose.

Seeing Huang Yade's reaction, Wei Shulin felt that something was wrong. “Silver Cousin, what's wrong?” tanyakanya.

Huang Yade did not raise his gaze and replied in a weak tone, “Huang Miaoling ..” Then, his gaze lifted slightly in order to be able to stare at the bewildered Wei Shulin. “That girl again made a troublemaker.”
