The Phoenix Reborn Book II
Chapter 105 Wang Chengliu's Anger, and Unexpected Letter

The sound of objects breaking apart when encountering the hard plains could be heard. Fractions that return slammed causing a loud sound that pierced the ear. It was accompanied by the screams and grunts full of anger of someone.

“Hah! Jal*ng!” a man's voice sounded from inside the room.

“Your Majesty! Your Majesty, calm down!” another man's voice interspersed, trying to calm his mistress who was enveloped in raging emotions. Unable to stop his master, the man who was none other than Chenxiao was forced to exclaim, “Sixth Prince! If anyone hears about your anger after meeting Mingwei Junzhu, then there will be many rumors spread! That would be a hindrance to your grand plan!”

With two hands tightly grasping both sides of his desk, the expression plastered on Wang Chengliu's face looked so sinister. His tanned black bead looked even darker, as if he was capable of killing anyone he looked at.

Successfully calming Wang Chengliu did not make Chenxiao relieved, he still looked wary. It was not easy for one to provoke the emotions of the sixth prince. However, just by spending some time with Huang Miaoling, Wang Chengliu's increasingly calm emotions like rippling water suddenly exploded without a single hold!

‘Who exactly is Mingwei Junzhu for the Sixth Prince?!’ chenxiao shouted inwardly in frustration.

From the start, Chenxiao thought Wang Chengliu was in love with Huang Miaoling, just as Wang Zhengyi had expected. Considering he grew up full of pressure, the escort's bodyguard thought that the sixth prince had a way that ‘different’ when ‘love’. However, looking at the current state of affairs, he was firmly convinced that what Wang Chengliu felt towards Huang Miaoling was not love!

While Chenxiao's thoughts revolved around questioning the employer's relationship with Mingwei Junzhu, Wang Chengliu's mind was busy questioning something else.

‘How does Huang Miaoling know about Mom?!’ Both of his hands clenched tightly, trying to hold back the re-peaked emotions. ‘Should have been, no one knew about it except Chenxiao and that woman!’

Wang Chengliu glanced at his subordinates who were staring blankly at the floor while grasping the base of the sword at his waist. Then, the prince shook his head.

‘No, it makes no sense for Chenxiao to side with Huang Miaoling.’ He tried to think back, and suddenly the man was wide-eyed. ‘Couldn't be Chenxiao, but rather—’

The loud squealing sound of the door opening could be heard. It was followed by a voice that said in a mocking tone, “Can I see you redecorating your room.”

Netra Wang Chengliu was directed towards the door that suddenly opened, as well as Chenxiao who was immediately on guard. The two stared intently at the figure that had just arrived.

“Lu Si!” Wang Chengliu quickly circled his desk and darted towards the red-eyed man. The sixth prince's right hand gripped the collar of Lu Si's clothes firmly, “You leaked my secret to Huang Miaoling?!”

Seeing Wang Chengliu's impolite demeanor, Lu Si brushed the man's hand off his collar. That one pat made Wang Chengliu instantly let go, it was even obvious that the prince's hand was shaking due to Lu Si's considerable strength.

"And what am I doing this for?” lu Si asked as he patted her clothes, as if he had just touched something dirty. The man raised his eyebrows, “Did meeting your ex-wife make your brain no longer work?”

Hearing this, Chenxiao who did not understand what Lu Si was talking about immediately frowned. “Mantan .. wife?” he muttered with a wondering face.

Aware of Chenxiao's whereabouts, and the fact that his escort bodyguard had just heard something he shouldn't have heard, Wang Chengliu glared. Then, the man shouted towards Chenxiao, “Exit! Quick out!”

Without a second thought, Chenxiao rushed out of the room. Although confused, but he did not want to pour oil into the fire. Wang Chengliu was already furious, if he did not obey his orders, it meant that Chenxiao was deliberately looking for trouble!

Seeing Wang Chengliu's huge reaction, Lu Si snorted, “I started to question whether choosing you was the right decision.” He rolled his eyeballs, feeling lazy with Wang Chengliu's uncontrollable emotions. “Only with one meeting, Huang Miaoling is able to eliminate the calm you have been keeping. Amazing,” teasing.

Upset, Wang Chengliu growled, “How did Huang Miaoling know my mother's past?”

“What is important?” Lu Si replied to Wang Chengliu while shrugging both his shoulders casually. “What will mess up all your plans that have been going on?” tanyakanya.

The question Lu Si asked made Wang Chengliu snap, “If he finds out, then he is able to guess my next move!” His fists hit the table violently, trying to figure out a way for this itch in his heart to be vented. “My plan will be ruined!”

Lu Si clicked his tongue, cursing inwardly, ‘Lan’er, you earnestly ..

In the instant Wang Chengliu asked about his mother, Lu Si was convinced that Lan’er was the one who told Huang Miaoling. No other party can be an informant about it.

Finally, Lu Si said, “Speed things up,” he sat himself in one of the chairs in the room. “Huang Miaoling clearly just found out about this in the near future. Therefore, before he can do anything, immediately execute our plan.”

Wang Chengliu put on a serious face, he started to take into account something in his mind. “Speed the plan ... means not waiting for Hudie and Chen Meiping,” he said in a low voice. The man glanced towards Lu Si, “You mean to—"

“Use the day of Wang Wuyu's death ritual,” cut Lu Si. “In that day, I will help you secure the throne.”

***

The sound of swords clashing against each other created a deafening loud clang. The cry that accompanies each attack voices emotions buried in heart and body, making the fight of the two sharp objects a soul outlet.

A woman swung the sword fiercely towards her opponent, causing the opponent—who was a man—pushed backwards for a few steps. Before the man was ready to receive another attack, the next swing of the sword had pointed towards his face, making the man exclaim in shock while raising his sword as quickly as possible.

“Ah!” the scream was heard followed by the sound of a sword slamming into the ground. “I surrender!” the man slammed his ass to the ground. “Junzhu, I give up!” he raised his hand.

“Others!” Huang Miaoling stared at all sides with smouldering eyes, sweeping away the terrified expressions of the members of his army. Suddenly, he pointed his sword at a soldier, “You! Here!” his yell. “Fight me!”

The poor soldier wanted to cry, whining for forgiveness for whatever wrong he had done to Mingwei Junzhu. But he didn't do it because he knew it was useless. Mingwei Junzhu was furious, and dueling was one of the ways the woman vented her emotions.

Before long, the sound of horse-shrinking was heard. Fang Yu who had been getting the rations of Huang Miaoling's anger was sitting on the sidelines, and hearing the sound of horses made himself turn to see who was visiting the headquarters.

Seeing the two figures greeted by the soldiers guarding the headquarters gate made Fang Yu look wide. ‘Ah! It—!’ The pre did not finish his inner speech and immediately ran towards the gate. In front of his two guests—who was slightly surprised by his sudden arrival—Fang Yu bowed respectfully, “Greetings to Fifth and Sixth Young Master Huang!”

Noting Fang Yu's appearance, Huang Junyi easily guessed, “You're Lieutenant General Fang, right?”

Huang Junyi's foresight made Fang Yu slightly surprised. After all, he was currently only wearing ordinary training clothes, not the armor that displayed his identity. ‘How can he recognize me?’ his mind in the heart.

‘So often I heard that the sons and daughters of the Huang family have prominent characteristics, it is not wrong,’ Fang Yu said inwardly. ‘Minister Huang, Deputy General Huang, Mingwei Junzhu, also these two young masters.’ Then, he realized something, ‘Ah, why is the Former Crown Princess different?’

“Good, Young Master,” Fang Yu replied as he invited Huang Hanrong and Huang Junyi to enter.

As he approached the edge of the field, Huang Junyi and Huang Hanrong were wide-eyed at the sight before them. A number of soldiers were lying on the floor with sweat drenching their faces and bodies, some bruises and cuts could also be seen on their bodies. Meanwhile, in the middle of the field, there was Huang Miaoling who was fighting intensely with one of his subordinates.

Looking at Huang Miaoling's hair and clothes that were soaked in sweat, Huang Hanrong frowned. “How long has Third Sister been like that?” he asked with a worried expression.

Fang Yu replied, “About .. since two hours ago.”

Huang Hanrong clicked his tongue. “Stop in—"

Before Huang Hanrong's words were finished, Huang Junyi had first darted towards the field. While pulling out the sword from the sheath perched on the side of his waist, the young man exclaimed, “Keep!”

This shout made Huang Miaoling and the soldiers who were fighting him turn their heads. Then, the two quickly moved away from each other, away from the swing of Huang Junyi's sword which seemed to want to split the ground.

“Huang Junyi!” Huang Miaoling who had just realized the arrival of his sister exclaimed in shock. “What's—!?”

Huang Junyi did not wait for Huang Miaoling's words to be finished. Agilely, he immediately shot towards the elder brother and slashed his sword.

The instant Huang Junyi's sword met Huang Miaoling's sword, the young man gritted his teeth. ‘It has been two hours of fighting non-stop, but the power is still so great?!’

Huang Miaoling could read his sister's mind, and he grinned. “You are still a hundred years too young to defeat me,” the sentence is cliche, but the Mingwei Junzhu felt this was the right time to use it. “Ha!”

With great strength, Huang Miaoling pushed back Huang Junyi by one step. Then, the woman pressed her sword firmly against her sister's sword, causing a loud scraping sound that pierced the ears.

Conscious of the power in his hand starting to evaporate, Huang Junyi leaped back. However, Huang Miaoling did not allow the young man to keep his distance for too long.

“Where are you going, Junyi?” huang Miaoling asked with a loose smile that he had not seen for a long time.

Seeing that the elder brother had jumped up high, ready to split himself apart, Huang Junyi could only be wide-eyed. He still raised his sword to fend off Huang Miaoling's attack, but his little heart knew that the attack would not allow him to be completely agitated.

“Haaa!” the excited exclamation made everyone's eyes grow bigger, some trying to step forward while shouting to stop the madness of Mingwei Junzhu.

The small clanking sound of the meeting of the two swords could be heard, making everyone who had just shouted freeze.

Wait, ‘small interest’?

Everyone —including Huang Junyi—apply eyes in shock. They try to understand what just happened.

Aware that Huang Miaoling was only scaring him, Huang Junyi exclaimed, “Sister!”

The adorable reaction of his little sister made Huang Miaoling laugh, then he ruffled the hair of Huang Junyi whose face was flushed red. Clearly the young man was embarrassed for being so serious about facing Huang Miaoling when the woman herself was only intent on toying with him.

“Gosh, of course I won't hurt you, Junyi,” Huang Miaoling said.

Seeing his third brother's laughter so loose, Huang Junyi took a deep breath and greeted him. He put on a smile. At the very least, her stupidity could make her brother's mood improve.

Aware that he was too attention-grabbing, Huang Miaoling exclaimed, “Bubar, all of you rested,” his words made the soldiers cheer, happy for independence from suffering. “Only for some time, there is still a last session rehearsal before you guys are fully disbanded,” the woman reminded, resulting in those cheers weakening.

Huang Miaoling intended to bring Huang Junyi and Huang Hanrong into his room at Longzhu Headquarters, thinking that the two young men had come to visit. However, Huang Hanrong said, “Third Brother misunderstood, we came here not to visit.”

“Hmm?” Huang Miaoling did not expect to hear the sentence coming out of his sister's mouth. “So, what's your purpose here? Not the First Brother who sent you?”

The meeting of Huang Miaoling and Wang Chengliu would obviously be as fast as lightning scattered in the palace. Since he was still serving in the palace, Huang Yade must have heard of this. As the first brother, the man knew all the things that concerned Wang Chengliu were capable of making his third sister's emotions uncontrollable. Therefore, Huang Miaoling suspected that Huang Yade sent her two younger siblings to ease her bad mood.

While growling inwardly, Huang Miaoling sat down, ‘Alright, it seems like I really looked up to myself.’ Then, he realized that he had just confirmed what Wang Chengliu said about him a moment ago. ‘No, I only know myself,’ the woman tried to defend herself.

Huang Hanrong said with a helpless smile painted on his face, “If you really want to visit, we won't look for you so hard-heartedly and will just wait at Fengzhi Suo.”

Before coming here, Huang Hanrong and Huang Junyi had visited Fengzhi Suo, but Qiuyue told them that Huang Miaoling had still not returned. Had also come to Lianhua Yuan, but Mudan said the same thing. Luckily, Lianhua Yuan's spies were extensive, and Mudan quickly informed of Huang Miaoling's whereabouts at Longzhu Headquarters.

Huang Junyi explained, “Si Tua Bangka said that she has something to say to you.” The young man was clearly referring to Qing Gangtie.

“Great Teacher Qing?” Huang Miaoling frowned. “Why?”

This time, Huang Hanrong replied, “He got a letter from one of his trusted people .. from Zhou.”
