THE OUT OF MY LEAGUE

THE OUT OF MY LEAGUE
09

Discussing a topic with Thanit makes Darren forget time. With laughter beginning to subside, he circulated his gaze towards the dance floor.

But realizing Lily's figure in her striking purple dress suddenly disappears, Darren realizes something is wrong.

Thanit who was noticing a change in Darren's expression immediately glanced towards the gaze of his interlocutor.

“You looking for something?”

Darren. He looks panicked. “I ... excuse me for a moment, okay. I'll be back again.”

Not waiting for Thanit's response, Darren was in a hurry.

Moving her legs quickly, Darren descended down, scanning everyone but there was no sign of Lily at all.

Where did they go?

Then, one of the waiters around the bar happened to pass Darren.

“Excuse.”

“Ya?”

“Can I ask you a minute?”

The waiter nodded.

“How could it happen that you see a woman in a long purple dress around here?”

The waiter thought for a while, but immediately tilted his head uncertainly. “Is it possible he was with a man in a white suit?”

Darren nodded quickly. “Iya!”

“Ah, if not mistaken earlier she ran outside with a man.”

Darren bit his lips then thanked him before leaving from there.

Continuing running frantically, tracing through the passageways, and finally opening the door to the outside of the ship, Darren circulated his gaze once more.

But this ship is so big and big. Darren won't find Lily in one look.

So, Darren continued to do his search. Until he finally found the figure.

Lily and Mike turned their backs on Darren. They seemed busy talking while looking at the sea on the edge of the boat barrier. But when Darren was about to run over to them. Something drew Darren into hiding quickly.

“Victoria?!”

Darren glared after his body was slammed against the wall by Victoria. Victoria told him to shut up.

“Why---”

“I want to talk to you something,” cut Victoria seriously.

“I can't. Next time just.”

Darren let go of Victoria's grip. Victoria pulled him back hard.

“It won't be long.”

Darren grunting. “Good. What do you want to talk about?”

Finally Victoria let go and Darren immediately tidied up his suit that had been made tangled by the woman.

Pounding, Victoria started talking, “I'll get married next month.”

“Where to?” Victoria's confused.

“From Ethan.” But something bothered Darren's mind all of a sudden. “You know Ethan's my friend, right? So you better treat him well. Don't make her suffer like you did to me and Mary.”

Victoria lowered. He knows himself. But that's not what he wants to talk about now.

“I know. But there are more important things to want to vaultas.”

“Say.”

Victoria paused for a moment. He looked at Darren's current expression. “After I'm married to Ethan, let me have half the custody of Mary.”

Darren was suddenly sensitive to hearing that. “You're crazy, huh?!”

Victoria did not let go of her gaze while shaking quickly. He held both shoulders Darren while saying, “Please. Let me pay my debt for 6 years. Let me be a mother to her. Just once, please. Give me that chance.”

Darren glares. Tight chest. Shaking loudly, he threw Victoria's hands off her shoulders.

“I told you, stop harassing my family!”

Darren was about to move, but Victoria pulled Darren's left hand. Darren turned.

“Listen, this is for his own good as well. I'm not asking for more than that. I just want to be happy with the responsibility that I have been given away. That'sallthatis. Give me that chance.”

“Then why are you doing it now? Why not from the beginning?”

“I have my own reasons.”

“Yes, it's up to you. But I don't need your explanation. Excuse me.”

Darren turned around to leave. Victoria prevented it again. Hugging Darren from behind, Victoria leaned her head against the back of the field.

...----------------...

Lily rubbed quickly both of her arms crossed. The air is so cold.

“Do we go back inside only?” Mike's Advice.

Lily turned her head, pondering for a while, she finally nodded.

The two turned around and stepped towards the door where they had left. Lily walked down, too busy to fight the rising wind flying her dress.

Meanwhile, from afar Mike notices something clear in his view that it is Darren and Victoria. His eyes glared at that instant. She quickly turned to Lily who was still holding her dress. Mike's nervous.

Why do they have to meet like this? How did Lily feel when she saw her husband being hugged by another woman? Holy hooch! Is Darren really that kind of guy?

Acting rashly, Mike does one way to prevent Lily from seeing the scene.

Moving quickly, Mike opened his white coat, then blocked Lily's path by standing before her. Lily looked up in confusion. A second later, Mike's white coat was already on Lily's shoulders.

“You're cold, right?” Mike smiled broadly at the pairing of his suit to warm Lily. “Just wear jasku.”

After that, she held Lily's body into her arms. Lily stiffened in place. His head sank in Mike's chest just like that. Feels warm. But it doesn't make sense. Why did Mike have to hug her?

“Let this be a moment, I'm also cold.”

Lily blinked. It feels weird, but it's exciting. No man has ever hugged her other than her late father. Getting this kind of treatment in an ill-fitting situation, Lily's heart was pounding. He was nervous for no reason.

“Hick …. Hick!” Lily hiccups.

Mike looked down, slowly smiling. Aih, that's adorable!
