The rain will not stop anytime soon.
The wind is getting stronger, the rain fog is getting thicker.
Lily ended up sitting at one of the stops after feeling her legs could no longer move. Tired of ambushing him. Thought garbled. And he's not okay.
Lily always had problems with her body. Her immunity was not that strong against things like this. Excessive cold will make him feverish.
His consciousness was swallowed.
And Lily fainted.
His body had been unknowingly taken away by a stranger that night.
...----------------...
Early in the morning Darren was awakened by the sound of crying.
The more it feels the more disturbing. Not to mention the coldness that enveloped the translucent to the joints.
“Arrgh!”
Darren woke up non-relaxed, groaning in annoyance and instantly fell back onto the sofa. It was because his head was suddenly dizzy from waking up as fast as lightning.
After feeling the black speck in front of his eyes disappear along with a twitching feeling in his head, Darren watched the entire house.
He was on the first floor. In front of him was a basin of water on the table, and a towel lying on the floor.
Darren looked back, and immediately realized that the door of his house was wide open, bringing the morning breeze after the rain entered freely.
Worth it so cold!
Darren stood up while folding his arms in front of his chest, trying to warm up despite the failure.
He quickly closed the door, then returned to the sofa.
However, Darren again frowned. The basin of water and the towel on the floor couldn't have been taken. It's not possible once.
“Huwaaa!”
The crying came back.
Troubled his mind.
Spontaneous Darren's eyes glanced upstairs. Mary is awake. But why not stop too? Where exactly is Lily? Why not take care of Mary?
“Huwaaa!”
With a heavy curiosity, inevitably Darren stepped up the stairs to Mary's room.
But unfortunately Tamtam does not exist.
So, Darren stepped back, this time towards Lily's room.
As soon as the door opened, there, Mary cried like she had just lost her precious toy. With Lily's blanket on her she cried hysterically. Her tears are shed because of sadness.
With a feeling of worry, Darren immediately approached his daughter and sat on the bedside.
“Mary ..” Call her softly.
Mary turned around, hugging her father's waist. She shed tears on her father's shirt, which unfortunately smelled of alcohol.
Mary looks up. His sense of loss was greater than the matter of this strange smell on his father's body.
“Mommy doesn't exist! Hueee!”
“Mommy?”
Darren's brain slowed down. The influence of alcohol made him a little dopey.
She's been forgetting lately that Mary used to call Lily Mommy.
Only then did he realize.
“Hah?! Mean Mary what?”
Instead of answering, Mary grabbed her father's shirt, tugging it hard.
“Dad, find Mommy! Mommy Mary does not exist.”
Darren's eyebrows are frowning. She doesn't understand what's going on, but if Mary cries like this, then there's a chance Lily might actually disappear.
In a hurry Darren grabbed Mary and took her out of the room.
They go down to the first floor, then Darren starts calling Lily's name, followed by Mary.
Their cries were quiet in the morning. The whole house is surrounded. But the figure of Lily who is even usually already hanging in the kitchen to prepare breakfast is not even there. Makes everything suspicious.
The only option, call Lily's phone.
In a panic Darren drops Mary off and runs outside to retrieve her phone in the car.
After returning to the house and sitting quietly on the sofa with Mary, Darren called and waited for a note on his phone.
Triying~
Faintly sounded a familiar tone. Lily's phone is still in the second floor room.
That means Lily didn't even have her phone.
How'this?
Mary had even been anxiously looking at her father with those round, teary eyes, waiting for clarity.
Darren pensive. Think of ways to explain this confusing thing.
Swallowing his saliva, Darren ventured to look at his daughter.
Darren started his lie with a fake smile. Convince Mary that there is nothing wrong with the strange events of the morning.
Luckily, despite the hesitation, Mary nodded with a still remaining sobbing.
That way, Darren ends up taking care of Mary alone. It's been a rare thing since Lily was around. And unfortunately the most important figure in their lives has now disappeared somewhere.
...----------------...
Lily has a high fever. Higher than the last time he was hospitalized for drowning.
Last night's wind wasn't messing around. High rainfall even makes large trees fall and enter the morning news.
The sound of TV was heard from outside. The smell of toast filled the room.
Lily gulped. His nose feels clogged, but still able to smell a sharp aroma even though a little.
His eyes felt faint, when opened, it felt so heavy.
Lily felt a wet compress on her forehead.
Slowly his eyes ran through the whole room. Make sure he's not at Darren's house.
No. gabe. Lily didn't want to go back to that place.
He was afraid the same thing would happen again.
“You're aware?”
The familiar voice asked kindly. It poked softly and entered politely in Lily's ears.
Mike?
Confusion over Lily. The link on his forehead started to appear.
Mike stepped up from the doorway, approached Lily with a chuckle before finally sitting on the bedside.
Mike wears a soft white sweater, the biceps are clearly printed. He was so handsome as to be the first sight Lily saw upon waking from her sleep.
Sensitive to Lily's situation that may be confused, Mike then returned to voice, “You are in my apartment.”
The apartment?
“What happened?”
The rough rasp felt heavy to remove. Lily's esophagus felt hot and arid, like it hadn't touched water in a long time.
Lily gulped as much as she could after taking out her first word.
Mike smiled guiltily.
“After returning home from delivering Darren, I stopped by for some shopping. And I ended up finding you at the bus stop where I passed that night.”
Lily digested Mike's explanation, and she fell silent for a moment. Actually, because I don't know what to say.
Lily was so embarrassed that they had to meet under such circumstances.
Well, the fact that Lily was embarrassed because she met Mike in her completely messed up state that night.
“Thank you.”
That's all Lily can say.
Mike blinked, staring sadly at Lily. It was as if he kept a thousand questions in his mind after seeing Lily's miserable state last time.
“Can I ask you something?”
Lily was not sure, but she just nodded.
Sighing deeply, Mike again asked cautiously, “Actually ... why did you get to be at the stop that night? Shouldn't you be taking care of Darren? Did you guys fight?”
Lily speaks a thousand languages.
He didn't even dare to look Mike in the eye right now.
Not getting a response long enough, Mike finally gave a smile.
“It's okay if you don't want a story now. Maybe later when you're ready. Yaaah .. my fault is also because I have been sassy to ask other people's family affairs.”
Mike chuckled awkwardly at the end of his sentence. He even started rubbing his nape, as if his laughter had not completely made the atmosphere around them even more awkward.
But that even annoys Lily.
He looked back at Mike.
“It ..”
Mike looked again. Waiting.
“You are not wrong.”
Mike gnashing.
“I'll probably tell you after it's ready.”
Lily lowered her eyes again.
I don't know why there was such a heavy feeling in his heart.
Whether it's because guilt has owed Mike an explanation, or indeed it's pure guilt has lied to people as good as Mike.
Lily was not prepared to tell her lies.
He's not ready if Mike hates him and breaks off their friendship.
