Darren doesn't wait for directions and immediately pulls Mary while Mike still holds Lily's body down there. Spontaneous everyone swarming.
“Give space!” Darren screeched angrily, making everything move backwards.
After that Darren tried to give Mary artificial breath as her tears flowed down.
“Wake up, Dear.” Darren slapped Mary's cheek softly many times. “Wake up for Dad, Darling.”
Darren's lips began to tremble withstanding the cries. Events many years ago when he was a child come haunting. Just like Mary, Darren once drowned in a public bath until his voice did not come out for a week due to sinking for tens of minutes at the bottom of the pool.
Over and over again Darren gave an artificial breath, and when Darren almost gave up, Mary finally spouted the water she swallowed. Slowly her lungs began to fill up, Mary opened her sore red eyes as she began to cry hugging her father. Her crying was so slashing, so frightened. And Darren can only hold her in fear beyond the shadow of losing his only daughter.
And over there, Darren witnesses Lily spewing water from her mouth after being given an artificial breath by Mike.
Mike looked up at Mary who was conscious first, then his eyes met Darren.
“Thank you.” That's all Mike can catch from Darren's lips.
...----------------...
Lily's eyes went back and forth watching Diana pacing before her.
“I told you, I'm fine. No need to get to the hospital.”
In a roll of blankets and lying on the bed, Lily nagged incessantly. His voice was raucous and his nose was stuck.
“Tell that to Darren, because he's the one who insisted that we go home now.”
Darren continued packing things. And Lily took a breath.
Geck! Geck! Geck!
Diana glanced at Lily for a moment. “That's them.” Then go open the door.
“You're done?”
Lily faintly heard Darren's voice up ahead, not long after that Darren came in and stood looking at Lily.
“We have to go home now, the helicopter will land shortly.”
Lily took a breath. He glanced at Mary who was asleep on Darren's shoulder after tired of crying.
“How is Mary doing?” Ask Lily.
“We have to go to the hospital to find out the situation, because a ship of this size does not even employ a doctor.”
Darren sounded so angry and complaining. Lily and Diana felt that way. Lily wanted to ask that question, but she was sure, the question would not make the doctor appear suddenly in this hotel room.
...----------------...
Lily shivered violently as the wind gushed into the sidelines of her blanket as soon as they were airborne over the sea. Luckily Diana hugged him tightly for an hour and a half.
Landing on the helipad of the Bumrungrad International Hospital building, Lily is picked up in a wheelchair while Mary remains faithful in her father's arms.
Lily was half conscious when she started to smell the typical hospital scent that pierced the smell. Faintly his vision found him in the hospital hallway, heading towards a room he could not see further, because a split second later, a high fever spread rapidly throughout Lily's body, causing his eyes to feel hot and sore if not immediately closed. He finally fainted.
...----------------...
Slowly a speck of light enters the vision, delivering Lily to the ceiling of the hospital room as the first thing she sees. His gaze looked to the right, there was a large window that showed the twinkling of the opposite buildings, the sound of vehicles unpretentious under there through the window is not soundproof. Then turning to the left, the whole room felt so empty, there was an empty sofa near the door, a patient wardrobe, and the figure of a man sitting next to his bed.
Lily opened her mouth, trying to say something. But in fact, no sound came out. His throat felt like an oasis, dry and hot.
A thread of tears just fell from his eyes that felt like they were dipped in embers. The fever felt higher, the surface of her skin felt hot burning, but somehow inside there Lily felt cold.
Lily's fingers tried to reach the man's figure when she realized her mouth could not speak because the voice suddenly disappeared.
The dim light of the room lamp reflected on the face that finally looked up. Lily realized that she was Mike.
Mike looked sleepy, his eyes reddened. He had been sleeping since last afternoon in a sitting position folding his arms in front of his chest, and apparently it was already night when he found Lily trying to grab him by the hand.
Mike rubbed his eyes repeatedly. “Lily?” He then stood surprised from his chair and glanced at the door of the hospital room. He thought about calling a doctor. Which he himself forgot because he was too shocked - that he could call him with the emergency button on the head of the patient's bed.
Lily tries to catch Mike's hand. Only then did Mike freeze and try to understand Lily's current actions.
Lily's right hand pointed at the glass of water on the table. Mike's eyes followed, and knew what to do. He took the glass, then tried to make Lily to drink it.
When he finished, Mike put Lily to bed again. “How do you feel?”
Lily closed her eyes and shook her head. That means it's not okay. Mike can only be moody. He sat back down, looked down for a while, then looked up again.
“Call the doctor, yes?”
Still in a state of shock, Lily shook her head again. He tried to open his mouth, and Mike realized no one was coming out at all. She placed her ears in front of Lily's lips, trying to achieve what she was trying to say.
“Ja, don't ..” Lily gulped roughly and tried once more. “Leave me.”
Mike was silent, he turned his head, where his face and lips were now only a few miles away with Lily.
Mike realized, when Lily asked him not to leave at that second, meaning Lily began to show a small trauma; which would be a severe trauma if he did not comply.
Maybe not now, not a few days later, but when that time comes, that's when he'll be the most alone person on earth, for the fear of the piercing when he imagined that no one would help him
