THE NO-MAN'S LOVE

THE NO-MAN'S LOVE
33. STORING FLAVOR

I've been sincere with everything that's happening to me right now. I just want to focus my intention and passion on my recovery. About my husband, I've removed that burden from my heart. I did not want to linger over the sadness of our household, which was already a risk for accepting the matchmaking without a bond of taste between me and her.

“Spirit! You must be cured!”

Egidia nodded and replied to the positive suggestion that Doctor Kai had conveyed with a smile. At once, the doctor's friendly smile expanded wider because he could see the beautiful arches that adorned the patient's face.

Keep smiling, Egi! You are a strong and unyielding woman. You are a tough woman who deserves to heal and can enjoy more beautiful days.

Not wanting to arouse suspicion if it continues to linger there despite wanting to, Doctor Kai excused himself on the grounds of busyness. In fact, he has no practice schedule and will only monitor the operation process that will be undertaken by Egidia. Of course, without the relevant knowledge.

Feeling that something was different from her coworkers' attitude today, especially towards Egidia, Mutia caught the handsome doctor out of the neighbor's treatment room.

Up outside, he called Doctor Kai who then stopped and turned around. Mutia deliberately followed so that their conversation was not too close to Egidia's room.

“Yes? What's up, Doctor Mutia?” the doctor asked after the hijab was in front of him.

“Sorry, Doc! Maybe I'm too presumptuous and interfere in your personal affairs, but I see you consider Egi not just a patient.”

“Once again I apologize if my assumption is wrong. I just want to remind if ...” Not yet finished the obstetrician spoke, Doctor Kai had already cut his sentence.

“I know and I try to keep my limits. About my feelings, honestly ...” The visually charming and well-proportioned man paused for a moment, but continued again after feeling confident.

“I do save another flavor against Egi.” The call to the patient changed in the next sentence. He believes his co-workers can keep the secret.

“There was something in him that got me hooked at first sight. However, I realize this feeling I have to keep myself in my heart, because it is impossible for me to be the third person, no matter what is going on in her household.”

Doctor Kai's statement implied something she already knew about Egidia and her husband's marriage condition. Mutia could only nod to justify her comrade's attitude.

If you can take sides, he actually agrees more if Egi gets a partner as good as Doctor Kai. Not only because of his good looks and stability, but from his innate attitude and behavior.

Not to compare, but in reality he had already seen with his own eyes how Genio had treated Egidia all along. It is not the attitude of a husband towards his wife. Just a status, with no taste in it. More precisely, only Egidia harbored a love that clapped one hand.

A love that is complicated and difficult to put together. Genio loved each other with other women and ignored Egidia who secretly loved him. Meanwhile, Doctor Kai who is in love at first sight, must sincerely save his love for Egidia.

“For the time being, I can only support him with a lot of prayers and every effort I can make for his recovery.”

“Although there is a wish, I only hope to be his friend.”

Doctor Kai does not want to stir up hope. He is self-aware and situation conscious. For now, let everything remain as it is and flow as it should. The handsome man will be accompanying Egidia in his own way.

If I were just friends, maybe I could help him. Not to ignore her status, but I think Egidia also has the right to socialize and make friends and good relations with anyone, as long as it does not violate the boundaries of ethics and religious norms.

Mutia began to think of opening up a friendship path for Doctor Kai and Egidia. Perhaps with more support from the doctor, Egidia could be stronger and cultivate a greater spirit to optimistically obtain her recovery.

Their conversation came to a halt as the medical team went to Egidia's treatment room to pick her up and take her to the operating room. Dr. Kai returns to say goodbye to monitor the preparation and operation to be performed by a team of doctors led by Doctor Malik.

Actually, he could have joined the team. However, in order to maintain his professionalism and calmness, Doctor Kai chose not to take that option. It was enough for her to entrust Egidia to the best doctors who would deal with the hijab-wearing lady alone.

After her partner left, Mutia returned to Egidia's treatment room to accompany the woman. He had promised himself and agreed with his sister to provide as much support as they could for the poor neighbor.

“Me and Ms Mutia will accompany you until the operation is complete. Don't think of anything else and focus on praying!”

Egidia who had been transferred to the gurney brought in by the medical team, simply resigned herself and nodded. Someone was willing to accompany him, he was already very grateful. She didn't expect more, what else about her husband.

“Tia, I have my phone, yes?”

Tiara nodded and received the communication device from the weak hands of the neighbor. Before she and her brother left following the medical team that had pushed the gurney, the aspiring psychologist locked the drawer that held Egidia's bag and personal documents, and then kept the key in the pocket of the clothes worn.

The woman who had not been veiled like her brother walked the very back and followed Egidia's entourage, including Mutia who was walking beside the gurney. However, his steps suddenly stopped at one of the crossing corridors and separated by himself.

His gaze turned in another direction that caught his attention. Precisely on two opposite-sex people who walk with tight hands. The couple had already crossed before the gurney carrying Egidia crossed over and walked straight ahead, so as not to cross each other.

Only Tiara saw him and instantly she wanted to cursing as much as she saw something wrong and shouldn't.

Are they here too? Do I have to tell him about all this?
