THE NO-MAN'S LOVE

THE NO-MAN'S LOVE
29. RISE FROM THE DOWNFALL

Life must go on, though I do not know how much longer I can still breathe and breathe the air in this world. However, I don't want to give up just like that. As long as this self is able to strive, I will try all means to fight the disease that has threatened my life. I believe that God is always with me and provides His help with a team of doctors who will handle my healing process.

“He left again? Where to move?”

“Mas Gen is human is not it, anyway? I became a hustle myself seeing his behavior on Egidia!”

Even though his profession as a consultant and soon will bear the title of a psychologist, Tiara remains a person who always can not be silent when seeing the impropriety around him. Especially when it comes to the feelings and relationships of someone who is considered undue.

“We'll see how fate will awaken Genio!”

Mutia moved away from the windshield of their house, after seeing her neighbor's car come out after putting suitcases and bags into the trunk.

The brothers also woke up to hear the sound of the fence of the house that was opened Genio, also the roar of the car that entered, then shortly back out and drove away from the house after making sure the fence was closed tightly.

Tiara followed and stood up from the guest chair. They still continued to talk about Egidia while starting to do the morning routine before fulfilling the obligation that would be marked by the sound of the sound of the azan in a moment.

“Peace Egidia! In a state of severe pain like now, her husband instead went and did not want to care.”

“This must have something to do with the woman who used to be brought by Mas Gen to the house.”

“Did Egidia tell you something about it?” Tiara was finally lured to find out as well.

“Yes. Last afternoon he came here and did another consultation.”

“Because of that, I asked you about what happened in the hospital.”

If not asked, Tiara did not tell him anything about his work-related activities as well as Mutia. The oath of office makes the hijab-wearing woman never discuss her noble duties that deal with the forms of patients and their families.

Only about Egidia was she willing to share a little information with her sister. It was only limited to what was known from the direct source, namely Doctor Kaivan, the doctor who handled the disease suffered by his new neighbor.

“Doctor Kai says if Egidia will give her decision on the next examination schedule.”

“I hope he will fight to fight his illness. Although it is an advanced stage, but nothing is impossible if God has willed.”

“I can only pray that their household problems do not affect Egidia's decision to put her health and recovery first!”

You can do it, Egi! You must be healed!

Since Genio's departure, Egidia had kept herself locked up in the room. Nothing is done except to weep and complain to the Almighty. Her tears continued to flow incessantly, until her face turned red and her pair of eyes seemed puffy.

What am I supposed to do? Am I willing to go through all this alone? No husband, no family, no one I can count on. I'm like a missing person here. Alone, without knowing the direction and purpose.

The woman took off her face as she felt her stomach churn again and wanted to pull out something. Rushing he went into the bathroom and spewed out a clear and bitter liquid that was not much.

Forcing himself out and towards the kitchen, he intended to make a warm drink and a makeshift breakfast. Unknowingly, outside the sky was already starting to light up with a golden color that marked the rising of the sun. He looked at a time marker that was purposely installed at the top of the kitchen wall to help him calculate the duration when making things.

It's six o'clock apparently! I forgot about time because I mourned the passing of Gen mas who did not care about me at all.

While waiting for the water to boil, he sat on the floor and leaned against the bottom drawer. He had just closed it back after picking up rice to cook with an electronic rice cooker.

Closing her eyes and again imagining her husband's last steps when leaving the room after saying goodbye, thus provoking her sad reaction again who returned sobbing with sedu-sedan that was no longer held. No one else there will see it.

Forgive me, O God! Forgive me for all my misdeeds and fears, which I may have unintentionally done and made You add a great test to my life!

After finishing the cry, Egidia stood up again and prepared a teapot to brew tea. Forget for a moment all the inner burdens, and indulge yourself with a cup of warm tea and a bowl of porridge ala-kadarnya as a breakfast menu.

I can't be weak like this! I had to rise from adversity and dare to fight alone. I want to heal! I must be healed!

Despite doubts about her own beliefs, Egidia has finally decided to continue the examination and undergo a series of treatments that her doctor had explained yesterday.

If his death was imminent because his illness could not be cured, at least he had tried his best to fight against it.

But on the contrary, if God is still willing to give healing, he will not waste the opportunity to fight for it to produce the best results.

He recalled Doctor Kaivan's remark that made him feel optimistic among the harsh realities of coming to test himself.

“God will not give tests beyond the limits of His servant's ability. Only those who are selected and strong pass the test, who will enjoy their best results at some time.”
