THE NO-MAN'S LOVE

THE NO-MAN'S LOVE
22. UNHEALTHY

I know this love only claps one hand, but why can't I stop dreaming? Now I have two hopes that I don't know if they can come true. Hope for happiness and hope for recovery. Each of these has two sides of possibility. Happy with her or happy without her? Cured as before or healed because of life regardless of body?

Egidia did not want to think negatively, even though in reality she saw the same tendencies as Tiara had expected. The hijab-wearing woman refused to burden her mind by constantly suspecting her own husband.

His heart was indeed sick and wounded with Genio's attitude, but it had not been stifled in the slightest desire to resolve it by any means. He still wants to survive, at least until he is fully convinced that his struggle finds a bright spot or vice versa, increasingly gloomy and hopeless.

“Thank you for your willingness to listen to my story. Sorry, if I haven't been able to make any decisions for now.”

“At least, now my heart feels relieved and calmer because the tightness that fills the chest and this thought has been reduced by sharing to the right person like yourself.”

“One more time, thank you, Tia!”

Tiara nodded and smiled. He still continued to hold Egidia's hand by giving a tranquilizing swab. His job is only as a good listener and provide an alternative solution that can be chosen by his client, whether to be run or still suspended with his own beliefs.

“Same-sama, Egi!”

“It doesn't matter to me because all the decisions are on yourself. May you be given the strength to live whatever your choice, for the good of your household with Mas Gen.”

One week passed, it was time for Egidia to again consult with Doctor Kaivan to find out and discuss the results of the follow-up examination that had been done. To be honest, his premonition was extremely strong and continued to lead to the worst possible outcome. Even so, he did not want to fall down before getting certainty.

This time, I don't know what the wind is that makes Genio take his wife to leave together. In fact, the man was willing to accompany him to the examination room, although he could not accompany him until he met the doctor.

Such attention alone was already greatly appreciated by Egidia and made her heart burst into happiness. No matter after that there will be another drama of sadness, she is just trying to enjoy the time that the husband has spent on her.

“Sorry, I have to go to the office immediately.” Genio noticed a time marker on the left wrist.

Egidia nodded and took her husband's hand to kiss in reverence, before Genio dodged again in a hasty excuse. In recent days, the man always reasoned the same thing so he never took the time to perform the husband-wife ritual that was still routinely done.

He looked awkward when he finally returned to put a short kiss on the forehead of the wife who welcomed with a happy smile that could not be hidden.

“Be careful when you get home. Today I'll be home in the evening.”

“Iya, Mas. Be careful on the road, too. Later I will prepare dinner for us.”

A simple and ordinary short conversation for most couples, is a very meaningful and extraordinary happiness for Egidia, in the midst of the condition of her household that is still not palpable will be how the future.

The atmosphere was still not crowded and only one or two patients were waiting in front of the practice room of each doctor. Egidia calmed down by opening a social media account to drive away the fear if she constantly thought about the results that Doctor Kai would deliver.

Because there was no news or news that attracted attention, he closed it again and chose to continue the writing that was delayed so long because it was difficult to concentrate as before.

Is this related to the illness I have? Is it that bad, until writing was very difficult for me to do? Not to mention the nausea and vomiting that I experience almost every day, is it also because of my illness?

Intending to calm down, in fact Egidia was again struck by the same fear about her health condition. He hung up his phone and stopped doing anything. Her tears just flowed, as her eyes closed and lowered their heads to hide from the surroundings.

Silently, unnoticed by anyone who was there, someone continued to pay attention to Egidia with a gaze filled with sadness. His heart was filled, seeing a woman so weak was sitting alone lamenting the situation. The man who should be able to become a backrest and a place to strengthen his heart, instead just left and let him face the storm unaccompanied.

A man who can't take care of his wife is a man who doesn't deserve to be expected much less relied on!

There was a sense of indignation in his heart from seeing with his own eyes how the man who was not worthy to be called a husband treated Egidia with a cold attitude and kept his distance.

What kind of marriage do they have? Why is he still strong enough to survive an unhealthy relationship and stay away from the word sakinah?

After being satisfied to release the chest-stifling burden through a slight cry, Egidia again smiled as if nothing had happened before. In fact, he began to greet the friendly few people around him.

Time has come for morning practice to begin. From the direction of the elevator, a number of doctors came together, including Mutia and Doctor Kaivan.

The gynecologist greeted the neighbor kindly, before entering his room. Behind him, Doctor Kaivan stopped for a moment when he saw that his patient was still greeting Mutia.

The glasses-looking doctor also greeted Egidia kindly and asked her to wait a little longer. After the patient nodded, he immediately went in and got ready before his escort nurse started calling the first order patient.

“Good morning, Doctor!” greet Egidia well-mannered.

“Good morning, Mother Egidia!”

Even though her heart was already feeling numb, Egidia tried to calm down and did not precede asking. His hands squeezed together to ease the nervousness and fear that mixed into one.

At first glance Doctor Kai noticed his first patient who looked down. He felt heavy to convey the results of the examination that had been received from laboratory workers.

After Egidia had a preliminary examination with the nurse and had already returned to sit before her, Doctor Kai began to tell her the results they had been waiting for for a week. Results that will determine what treatment steps Egidia should undergo after the known disease suffered.

“Based on the follow-up checks that have been undertaken, with a heavy heart we must convey that Mother ...”
