The Lover In Dream

The Lover In Dream
Worrying

"Just two hours" Naomi muttered as she woke up from her sleep. He looked at the still dark window. He woke up at four o'clock in the morning, but had just fallen asleep in the early hours of two.

After wiping her face with a blanket, the woman got out of bed and downed a bottle of drink in the refrigerator. He tidied a few cups of coffee on the table, then he started to turn on the laptop and went back to writing. Already since the night Naya stayed overnight Naomi began to not be able to sleep, even she could not sleep more than three hours every day even though it was a holiday. Naomi is venting the habit into a new novel, but she knows it's a bad habit. No one knows about Naomi starting to lose her sleeping hours. Sometimes the woman does not even sleep.

Naya's return day is only a matter of days, at the end of this week Naya will return to Indonesia. The news of his return has spread to all corners of the company. Naomi becomes busier than usual because all of Naya's duties have now switched to Naomi's. From organizing meetings, translating multiple reports, following Kubo to many places in Japan, organizing Kubo's work schedule, buying Kubo's list of needs, studying client lists as well as his background, handling media ,and other things to meet Kubo's needs. All he did himself.

Naya did not act as a translator before, but because Naomi mastered several foreign languages. The woman was assigned Kubo as her translator directly when meeting some clients from outside Japan. That's what makes him have to stay beside Kubo wherever Kubo is. It is not difficult to find Kubo for people in the company, they just call Naomi and ask her where the woman is. Then they'll find Kubo there.

In addition, Kubo and Naomi's relationship looks closer than Naya, if Naya seems stiff and follows Naomi's procedure is the opposite. He is more friendly with the people in the office, and sometimes neglects the procedure for some things that he thinks cannot be delayed. Like a few days ago when the woman had to disturb Kubo at his lunch just to get the approval of some important reports that made Kubo finally unable to spend his lunch.

Naomi is also used to people who often relate to her in the office, and begins to often disturb Hiruto's life. As Naya has done before. He can not be separated from his laptop and mobile phone, as well as a voice recorder.

"Eh" Naomi said in shock.

Fresh blood continued to flow from both nostrils, making him have to run to fetch as much tissue as possible. Despite moving quickly to the bathroom, he could not ignore the blood splattered on the floor. Naomi sat quietly on the toilet and raised her head. He came out when he heard the doorbell ring and opened it.

"What blood is this?" Ask Kubo.

"This morning my nose is bleeding" replied Naomi as she cleaned the blood on the floor of the room.

"You sick ?" Ask Kubo again.

"No, maybe it's just hot inside" the woman replied briefly.

"Today you don't have to work" Kubo said.

Naomi turned her head, with a serious look "Why?" Ask.

"Go to the hospital" Kubo replied.

"I ain't what" Force Naomi.

"Son, you joined work today"

"Yes why?"

"I'm worried" Kubo explained.

"Ri, what else?" Type Naomi and then press the send sign on her phone.

Until Naomi's house never visited also get a reply from Rio, he curled up on the sofa while watching a movie after taking sleeping pills given by the doctor this morning. The woman soon fell asleep.

*****

It was late, but the arrival of Takai and his mother made Kubo have to last longer at the office. Actually Kubo doesn't like it if Takai has to come with his mother. Because the thing that will be their conversation is not far from the development of company shares, as if Ibu Takai wants to know many things that should not be known by the woman. And Kubo thinks more that this woman is interfering too much. But anyway, Kubo still had to bow in front of Takai's mother to appreciate the cooperation created by his father long ago.

Takai shrugged his shoulders as Kubo cast his gaze, with that woman's grinning smile he could only put on a fake sweet face. There, it's not just Kubo who doesn't like it.

"Mom heard you recruited a new secretary" the middle-aged woman asked Kubo.

Kubo nodded, keeping a glass of tea that he had just sipped "Yes, he was sick. I asked him not to work today" Kubo replied calmly.

"Indonesians again?"

The question made Kubo feel uncomfortable, he was reluctant to answer with a word and could only nod.

"Don't get too close, the media will very quickly spread false news. We must be able to prevent rumors from circulating" added the woman again.

"Your engagement is already spreading in the media, they are looking forward to your wedding day. I hope there won't be any problems later" he continued.

The two women left after sitting for several hours in Kubo's room, leaving a great sense of discomfort on him. Shortly after, Kubo also rushed home, bringing some food for Naomi to eat. To be honest, from earlier his mind continued to drift thinking about Naomi's state.

On the way he saw several advertisements on the screen of the company building or shopping, news of his engagement had spread through the media. His face and Takai are shown several times, Kubo and Takai are not artists but their news has always been the target of the public. But it is no more because one of Takai's subsidiaries is a company engaged in advertising. Takai has appeared several times as an advertising model. The news became more interesting when the public knew that Takai had a relationship with Kubo who was considered a prospective owner of several large companies. And the greater the public's expectations, the more crazy Ibu Takai becomes.

Kubo is even more restless if the news of his engagement is heard by Naomi, he does not want Naomi to stay away from him because of this. Although Kubo tied it with a work bond, but the thing expected by Kubo is more than that. He doesn't like it if Naomi only thinks of him as a co-worker. He wanted Naomi to see him, as a man. Which he might someday like.

"The news will soon be gone" Hiruto said, breaking Kubo's daydream.

"It just takes time" he continued.

"Naomi is not a person who likes to see advertisements even he prefers to listen to your voice rather than watch" explained Hiruto when remembering Naomi's behavior while in the car. And Kubo hoped that what Hiruto said was true.
