Chapter 9

James was already in the living room and chatting with dad while waiting for Katie who was getting ready to put in all the things she needed during work at James' place later.

"mom, are you sure about all this?" Katie, feeling heavy leaving her family, tries to persuade her mother to keep her from leaving. But the mother, who believed in all of James's explanations, convinced Katie that this was a golden opportunity that was rarely obtained by others. "unfortunately, I know you feel hard to leave the house, but believe me that you'll get used to it later, it's for your future son" mother gently caressed Katie's hair and hugged her. "well ma'am, then I'm saying goodbye" Katie said softly, saying, her tears almost fell.

Janie and Marie who were at the door then approached Katie "keep yourself well, sister" Janie smiled holding back her tears. "don't forget to put an alarm on your phone so as not to get up late" Jenie added. "and don't forget to visit us on weekends huh" Marie then started sobbing. The three of them hugged each other tightly.

Katie who was not feeling well just stared at the road through the car window. The usual journey through it quickly now feels so long and long. James who occasionally glanced at Katie saved a bit of pity, but again the sense was lost when he remembered his humiliated self in front of the crowd during their first meeting on campus.

James' car stopped right in front of a bus stop near campus "you get off here, I don't want anyone to see us go inside the campus together". Katie who was still silent then took off the car safety rope and opened the car door. "when it is finished last class you must immediately enter my room to start working!" James then reminds Katie of her new assignment as his personal assistant. Without responding Katie directly slammed the car door and walked quickly towards the dictionary. "basic rancid boy!" grumbled James who was surprised by the slamming of his car door.

By three in the afternoon Katie had finished her last class, which meant she had to start a new job as James' personal assistant. TOK TOK... Katie knocked on the door and entered the room without waiting for a reply from James. He was surprised to see the room was so messy as it was finished in a bomb. A moment later his phone vibrated a sign that a message was coming in. "immediately clean up my work space, I'll be back in fifteen minutes and won't see my room still a mess" James sent an order to Katie. "you stupid lecturer, you deliberately made this room a mess to prank me right!!!" katie grumbled in annoyance. "but how does she know my cell phone number?" Katie was surprised by James.

Katie starts tidying up all the items that were deliberately placed on the floor by James. Within 10 minutes Katie has completed everything. He was used to doing homework, so just tidying up one room like this was no big deal to him. "it's just messy, but not dirty, so it's easy to tidy it up, you stupid lecturer!" Katie sits on the couch and picks up her phone to look through social media. But he had not opened it yet, the sound of the message re-entering was heard "quickly bring all the piles of books on my desk to the parking lot, we to my office right now!" james commands in the text message. "shit, just want to open the phone!" katie grumbled again after reading James' second message.

Katie immediately brought all the books piled up to that height into the parking lot. Although her steps faltered, but Katie tried her best to do everything, she did not want to look weak and lost in front of James. "why so long?" hardik James glared from inside the car. "you think this is light?" An irritated Katie directly slams the books into the back seat of the car. "hey!!! be careful, later the book breaks all!!" James looked at Katie with a murderous gaze, but was ignored by Katie who was directly sitting in the back seat. "moving forward, you think I'm your driver?" James orders Katie to move in. But Katie still does not budge. "you want to move alone or I will move you to the front here?" James looked over with a sly grin on his face. "Katie who was horrified to see the sneaky face of James immediately opened the door and moved to the front of the car.
