Chapter 30 MARIE

The morning of the last day before the end of the semester break began, Katie and James left for college together.

"honey, can I stay at my mom and dad's house during the semester break?" Katie opened their conversation in the car while her husband was driving.

"how long?" ask James.

"during the holidays" answered Katie.

"oh come on darling, would you like to stay a month at your parents' house? don't you feel sorry for your husband who's gonna be single?" James put on a face.

"you can stay at their house with me baby, and since we were married almost two months we haven't stayed there" Katie persuaded her husband not to get angry.

"All right, but only two weeks huh? because the next two weeks I want to take us on our honeymoon" James negotiated.

"you want to take me on my honeymoon?" Katie looked at her husband in disbelief.

"where?" ask Katie enthusiastically.

"whatever, you're the one who picked the place" James rolled his eyes.

"ahhhhh, you're so sweet" Katie then kissed the cheek of her husband who was still focused on driving.

Katie and James ended up staying at the Peteroy family home in Alexbad. "we're glad you're finally on vacation here" Mom said as she prepared a lavish dinner to welcome the arrival of her son and daughter-in-law.

"how's your father James doing?" dad asked about the news.

"my father is still busy dealing with state corruption cases abroad, it has been almost a month and a half not coming home" James explained the news of his father to his father-in-law.

Light and warm conversation then occurred throughout their dinner together.

After dinner, the six of them then chatted in the living room, a routine that Peteroy's family did every day. "i missed this atmosphere a long time ago, I miss it, for almost six months I haven't experienced this since moving and living in the capital" Katie felt moved to still get the chance to hang out with her parents and siblings. Marie's first day at DeModel.corp, "excuse me, I'm Marie Peteroy, the student who will be interning here" Marie introduced herself to the receptionist at DeModel.corp's office.

"okay Marie, from today your job is to be Monica's mother's personal assistant, President Director DeModel.corp"

Then Mr. Andrew explained Marie's jobdesk while replacing the personal assistant of Monica's mother who was on maternity leave. Marie is the third personal assistant the company has recruited over the past two months. Now there's only Marie and the President's mother in the room. "so, tell me your background and why do you so interest to join with us?" monica asked firmly but remained friendly.

"i am a student majoring in designer, besides that I am currently also taking modeling classes for additional knowledge I plunge into the world of fashion. I want to join this company because I am sure that with me working here, I will learn a lot of new knowledge that I will never get where I go" obviously Marie was at length who made the President's mother quite hopeful for him, considering that he had changed assistants several times.

"well Mom, I'll schedule all your activities as soon as they're ready and then I'll give them to you" Marie then took all the letters and files that were on her boss' desk and put them together on a schedule.

"it's ready Mom, so your first schedule is to meet with the chairman of the board of directors of PT. Aurora to discuss textile cooperation that will be mass produced, then after you have a lunch appointment with PT Operational Manager. Victory to provide raw material accessories. After that....."
