"I never thought we would meet again here (I never thought I'd see you here again)" said Andrew, the stranger.
"..." - ".Anna wasn't sure what to answer. So he just gave Andrew a smile and a small nod.
"..." - ".Having little response from Anna, Andrew remained silent for a while. Until then he spoke again.
"With the same reason likes the last time (for the same reason as last time)" said Andrew slowly.
"Hmm?" Anna looked at Andrew with an incomprehensible look.
"Ehem! Sorry, Anna. You just sat on my towel. again.(sorry, Anna. You're sitting on my towel... Again.)," Andrew explained, in the end.
Like being stung by a bee, Anna immediately stood up from her seat right then and there. And, sure enough. He did indeed again occupy a small towel that was spread similar to the previous incident.
Anna didn't know who to blame for the reoccurrence of this embarrassing incident. Just blame the color of the white towel, which blends with the color of the beach chair. Or just blame himself who tends to be careless often.
Clearly, Anna was standing clumsy and did not know what else to say but "Sorry" with her head bowed.
"Never mind (nothing)" Andrew said in a soothing voice.
With her head still down, Anna did not see the presence of a small smile on Andrew's face. But Bella beside him clearly caught the appearance of a smile on the cross-face of the young man. Along with the warm look he gave Anna.
'I think I know this young man. But who is he?' bella wondered.
Shortly thereafter, Andrew said.
"You may sit again, Anna (you can sit down again, Anna)" Andrew said.
And after a two-second pause, Andrew again added.
"I must say sorry for my attitude on our first meeting (i must apologize for my attitude in our first meeting). When I think again, it's rude of me to make you sit on the chair without parasol (after I think about it, it's rude of me to let you sit in a chair with no umbrella). Sorry!" Andrew is back.
"..M''mm. it doesn't matter, (it's okay)" Anna said in a soft voice.
"Please have your sit!" Andrew again invited Anna to sit down.
Finally, Anna sat back in her chair.
After sitting down, Anna thought the young man would leave immediately. But his assumption missed.
From the corner of her eye Anna caught the motion of Andrew who put his surfboard near the seat where Anna was sitting. Then take the mineral water under the chair. Half the bottle. And finally sat on the chair without the umbrella that Anna had once sat in.
Anna was about to return to ask Bella beside him about the situation in the Daffa family. But the young man in front of him even brought him back to talk.
This time Andrew chose to sit facing Anna. It just so happened that Anna and Bella were sitting sideways in a paddled chair so that the chair that Andrew was sitting in was right in front of the eyes of the two women.
"Is she your friend?" Andrew asked Anna, giving a brief nod to Bella.
Feeling impolite if not reply, Anna finally answered a stale question from Andrew just now.
"Yeah.."
"Could she speak in English likes you?" Ask Andrew back.
Anna looked towards Bella. Didn't know the answer to Andrew's question just now.
'But her job is a secretary, maybe Bella can understand a little English..' Anna guessed.
Not yet Anna answered, Bella's voice answered Andrew's question.
"Yes, Sir. I could speak in English. Have we ever met before? (Have we met before)? Cause I thought I've met you somewhere (because I thought I'd met you somewhere)," Bella said.
At first Andrew seemed silent and reluctant to answer Bella's questions. But then Anna glimpsed that showed a flat expression on her face.
Suddenly Andrew was driven by the desire to introduce his true identity to the two women before him. Especially to Anna, the girl who had captivated her heart since first sight.
EPA stands for Extra Ordinary Person and All. A magazine that writes about famous people and astounding events that are and have occurred.
For a few seconds of thought, Bella finally remembered something.
"Oh! You are Andrew Lawalata, right?!" Guess Bella.
At first glance, there was the discomfort that Anna caught from Andrew's face. It was as if the young man regretted having made Bella realize her true identity.
'Who is he really? What is EPA? Fashion magazine? Is he an artist?' Anna wondered in her heart.
"It's please to meet you, Andrew. Now I remember when we ever met (now I remember where we met). We.."
Bella's speech was stopped by the ringing of a cellphone that came from inside her small wallet.
After seeing the name on the phone screen, Bella stood up and walked away. "Excuse me (excuse me).." Bella tells Anna and Andrew to pick up the phone from who it is.
Anna was silent and did not know what to do with the young man before her. Actually, he felt uncomfortable with their sitting position facing each other. Especially since Andrew always looked at him intensely.
Feeling uneasy, Anna finally ignores the ethics of modesty. He grabbed a smartphone from inside his small wallet and pretended to be busy with the smart communication tool.
Thankfully Andrew seemed to understand Anna's discomfort. The young man no longer asked him to speak.
But moments later, Anna hears Andrew's screams.
"Watch out (watch)!!"
And, without even having a chance to raise her face forward, Anna suddenly felt a hand that hugged her head very quickly. Until finally Anna's view was covered by the chest of athletic fields. The scent of mint and masculine was smelled so clearly by Anna's senses.
Anna was still stunned, not knowing what was really going on. But his sense of hearing still caught the coarse swearing of the owner of the field chest that was embracing him.
"Be carefull! You, dumb****!" Umpat Andrew's.
After a few seconds, Andrew released his hand on Anna's shoulder. And, with a somewhat heavy heart, he took a step back from the woman in front of him.
Andrew caught a soothing floral scent as he hugged Anna. Although soothing, Andrew felt he was made drunk and wanted to smell the fragrance of the flower even closer.
"Are you, okay?" Ask Andrew to make sure.
"uh? I.i'm okay," said Anna with a face that was still shocked.
"What's matter (what happened)?" Anna asked, looking back at her head. He wanted to see what Andrew had been saying.
"There are youngers who playing ball recklessly (there are some youngsters who play ball recklessly). A ball almost hits your head (a ball almost hits your head)" Andrew said.
"Oh! So thank you... Andrew," said Anna thanking him.
"..." - ".Andrew looked dumbfounded and said nothing.
In his heart he was heartbroken, 'it's her first time calling my name (this is the first time he mentioned my name)...'
Not getting a response from Andrew for his thanks, Anna again felt awkward.
For a while, the two men were busy with their own thoughts.
With Anna who finally re-occupied themselves on the screen of her mobile phone. And Andrew looked at the woman in front of him.
They do not know there are several pairs of eyes that pay attention to the interaction of the two earlier. And one of the observers had even captured the moment when Andrew saved Anna just a moment ago.
The observer smiled happily, because this time he finally got something good.
Very-very good.
