The Love of the Maharani

The Love of the Maharani
Return of King Jordan

Anna then shifted and stood to the right of the throne seat. He gave a nod of his head to his father, Jordan, as a sign of respect.

After that, without saying anything, Jordan replaced Anna in the throne. Making everyone silent was amazed by the development that occurred during these few minutes.

No one's talking. No one dared to refute Jordan's power to re-occupy the throne of his king. All the audience seemed to recognize Jordan back as their king. Except for a few people, like Alul Lazam.

As King Jordan entered the audience's field of view, Alul Lazam narrowed his eyes and looked sharp.

Alul Lazam also did not bow his head like most ministers and other palace officials, when Queen Anna invited all attendees to pay their respects to the King of Jordan.

Alul Lazam is only seen playing three shaven grains in the grip of his right hand, becoming increasingly fast. It was as if he had known the return of their old king.

Jordan himself was actually nervous to return to perform on the podium as king. It was as if it was his first day being crowned king.

He served as king of the land of Nevarest for seven years. Even when on earth, he often appeared and filmed in front of many people. But still the nervousness came back to ambush him.

Later, however, Jordan is reminded of his wife and queen, Elva, who is currently unconscious at their main residence. Jordan clenched his hands tightly.

And immediately the nervousness in Jordan's heart was gone, as if it had never existed. Replaced by anger at the figure behind the shadow that he currently does not know his identity.

'Whoever are they!? Who is he?! I'll catch everyone involved in Elva's pain!' jordan's oath in my heart.

Jordan slowly circulated his gaze to every face in the Great Hall back then. Almost all of them immediately lowered their eyes when they clashed with his.

Most of the people Jordan saw in the Hall back then were unfamiliar to him. Of the approximately 87 ministers and palace officials present, there may only be a dozen whose faces are familiar to Jordan.

Until then, Jordan's eyes collided with a pair of eyes as sharp as an eagle with a black pecker that was quite thick and increasingly confirmed his harsh personality.

The pair of eyes lasted quite a long time when he looked at Jordan. So that Jordan could see flashes of dislike from the pair of eyes.

Jordan was stunned for a moment. He maintained eye contact between the two. Until finally, the owner of the sharp eyes also bowed like the eyes of ministers and other officials.

But Jordan still didn't switch from that guy's face. And just study the overall profile of that person.

The man was thick and tall. Probably as tall as Jordan himself. It has mature brown skin, a runny nose, thick eyebrows that interlock, a pair of thick lips, curly hair, and a black birthmark the size of a chicken egg on the left jaw.

Everyone seemed to be aware of their king's focused attention at one point. So out of curiosity, one by one of them turned his head to the same point of view as the king.

And at once they knew who had attracted the king's interest in him. He is none other than Alul Lazam.

For a few moments, the Great Hall was silent. And it was clearly realized by Alul Lazam. Finally he cleared his throat slowly, and said.

"Greetings to His Majesty the King who has returned to our side. May the return of His Majesty bring the highest glory to our country this Nevarest!" Alul said in a loud voice.

"Greetings glory!"

"Greetings glory!" The whole audience spoke Alul Lazam.

The King of Jordan then cut his eyes off from the figure of Alul. He gave a brief nod to all the ministers. Then look back at Aluk Lazam.

"What's your name?" Ask King Jordan to Alul.

After a short pause, Alul immediately answered his question.

"I'm Alul Lazam, Sire."

"What's your department?" Ask King Jordan back.

"I serve as Minister of Defense and Security, Your Majesty" Alul replied.

"Who was the Minister who served before? Where is he now?" Ask King Jordan again.

"Minister Alul, answer my question!" The King's Word.

After being silent for two seconds, Alul Lazam finally replied with a clear voice heard even without a loudspeaker.

"The previous "minister was Anek Minang. He is dead" replied Alul Lazam.

The king's eyebrows are linked, a sign that he is confused.

''Anek Minang? The son of Grand Commander Jogo Minang?" Ask the king to be sure.

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"Isn't he young? If I'm not mistaken, Anek Minang is only three years older than me!" King of Jordan.

Jordan remembers Anek Minang. For when he had not yet gone to earth, Anek Minang was the Supreme Commander of Nevarest whom he had stationed on the border of Nevarest with the land of Goluth.

Anek Minang is one of the few sons of the land of Nevarest who has the strongest inner power. Because Anek Minang's inner power is able to harden his body so hard as steel.

So, what caused that 'steel man' to die?

No one answered the King's question. Everything seems not to want to be the one to deliver the news of Anek Minang's death.

"When he... Die off? What caused him to die? Alul Lazam, answer my question!" Tell the King with a surprise that is clearly visible from his high tone of voice.

"Anek Minang drowned while training his inner power in the sea of Carnations, His Majesty. It happened a month ago" replied Alul Lazam.

Jordan was stunned on the throne seat he was sitting on. He did not expect the final fate of Anek Minang which he considered as his brother.

'Down?! Impossible! There's no way Anek Minang could just drown. There must be something hidden from his death!' Jordan snarled in the heart.

Afterwards the King of Jordan seemed to calm himself down again. It was as if the news about Anek Minang was something ordinary to him.

"good. He would like to thank all the ministers and palace officials who have taken good care of our Nevarest Country during Da's departure" King Jordan said.

"Da has experienced a lot of things that are difficult to tell to all these times. But Da brings a lot of new knowledge that Da will use for the glory of our country Nevarest!"

"Goodness to Nevarest!" Shouted one of the voices at the end of the Hall. Which then immediately got a lot of approval from other audience members.

"SHIRT FOR NEVAREST!!!"

("Da" is the call of a ruler of Nevarest to himself when he speaks before others. It has the same meaning as the word 'me')

The King of Jordan raised his right palm forward. A sign that he asked for silence to speak again.

After the Great Hall came back to silence, the King of Jordan said again.

"Therefore, Da will hereby appoint himself Da again as the king of this land. While Queen Anna will take care of the duties of a queen for a while, as long as Queen Elva is still secluded."

(King Jordan deliberately called the word 'safety' for Queen Elva who was actually sick. However, the royal family must present themselves as a strong and tough figure. So the word 'sick' is recommended not to be used to be mentioned in public)

"Who does not agree with this decision, please raise your hand!"

Only silence answered the challenge of King Jordan. Shortly thereafter, there was a scream at the end of the room.

"Goodness to Nevarest! Success to King Jordan!"

"SHIRT FOR NEVAREST!! GLORY TO KING JORDAN!" Everyone's in a crowd.
