Karina's Testimony

Daffa had brought Anna back to their bedroom upstairs now.

When Daffa invited Anna to return to their penthouse, Anna refused the invitation. Anna preferred to rest first in her old room upstairs.

Although Daffa was confused by Anna's will, in the end he still followed her.

"Now Anna, can you please tell me, what really happened tonight? where the hell did you go? Why don't you tell me just when you want to go?" Tanya Daffa.

Anna put down the mug glass that now contains half the warm tea. She stared at her husband for a few jokes. And then start telling stories.

"I'm sorry, honey, it's making you worry. I was just gonna take a walk with Sella to get some fresh air. Then suddenly the lights in the hallway went out. And there was someone who smothered my mouth and pulled me into the room earlier." Anna told me.

For a few seconds Anna gave a pause to the story, to then resume it.

"That guy tried to hurt me. But thank God, someone knocked on the door. And before long, he suddenly left me,." Anna again paused on his words.

"Then the lights came back on, and I saw Dad was already in a downtrodden condition like that. I tried to pull out the knife, but it turned out that my efforts were making your blood pour profusely.."

"And when I was about to leave the room to ask for help, I knew that people had come and gathered at the door. And they accused me of hurting Dad.."

"But I accidentally hurt Dad, Daff! Before I found him, Dad had already gotten a puncture wound!" Anna said in a hurry.

"..."

"Then do you recognize the voice of the man who locked you in that room, Anna?" Ask Daffa in a heart-felt tone.

Both of Anna's brown eyes that had been sitting with Daffa's hazel eyes, suddenly lowered his gaze. With her head down, Anna replied, "Tiang doesn't know.."

"?!" Daffa's heart suddenly beat very fast. He caught the oddity in Anna's reply just now. That's why he asked back. "What did you just say?.. Anna?" Ask Daffa back.

Anna raised her head until she looked back at Daffa. After a few moments of confusion, Anna said, "I don't know who grabbed me, Daff.."

Daffa investigated Anna through her gaze. And he caught a confused look of incomprehension on his wife's face. He also breathed. Thought he must have been so exhausted earlier that it was wrong to hear Anna pronouncing the pronoun "pole".

("pole" is a pronoun in the Nevarest language that has the meaning "me" in Indonesian on earth)

"Daffa.."

"Hmm..?"

"What is your or your family's relationship with Teh Anis? And also Karina? Why were they here?" Anna asked suddenly.

"Anis is actually my cousin. She's Aunt Soraya's only daughter."

"What's? Didn't you say Aunt Soraya was single?" Anna asked again.

"Well.I don't know for sure what the detail story is like. But according to Zion's father, once Aunt Soraya actually married religiously. However, at the age of their marriage that is not even a month, suddenly the husband of Aunt Soraya disappeared away not knowing where. Unfortunately, her husband also did not know that Aunt was pregnant with Anis at that time.." Papar Daffa tells.

"Oohs... And what about Karina? Why is he here too?" Anna asked back about a different topic.

"Marina?" Daffa gave Anna a confused look.

"Yes. That's the woman who defended me besides Teh Anis.." Anna gave a brief explanation.

"Oh, he. You know that girl, honey?"

"Yes. He was my friend in college" Anna replied, not entirely honest.

"Oh. He.." here, Daffa seemed awkward to give an explanation.

"He was one of his friend's children, the father whom I had met. But I don't have any feelings for him, honey! It is precisely your friend who is a bit late when replying to my rejection of him." said Daffa explained.

"Suspiciousness.how?" A suspicion suddenly appeared in Anna's mind. Suspicion over all of Karina's cruel attitude towards her these past few days. The reason his best friend suddenly became angry for no reason to him.

Anna's suspicions were evidenced by Daffa's subsequent remarks.

"He seemed to be angry at my refusal. So, he made me have to pay the bill for eating all the customers at the restaurant who were there at the time. Imagine how shocked I am, my dear. When Bella showed me the restaurant's meal bill, which was close to a billion, it was the result of your friend's actions!"

In front of Daffa, Anna looked dumbstruck. Now Anna finally finds out why Karina is angry with her.

Because the man that Karina liked, and had rejected him before, turned out to be Daffa. His best friend was jealous and probably hurt when Anna told him Daffa's name was the man he had married.

"Anna, honey. Are you okay?" Daffa asked worriedly when he saw Anna who was even daydreaming.

Anna's disheveled thoughts also spread when suddenly there was a knock on the door of their room.

Geck. Geck. Geck!

"Anna.. Daffa.it's me, Anis.." said the voice of Anis Tea from behind the door.

Daffa looked confusedly at Anna, who looked as if she had been waiting for her cousin's arrival. Anna, who was about to get up, stood up to open the door. But Daffa held him back, "Let me open it." Daffa said later.

Anna did not reject Daffa's offer. And he saw Daffa walking near the door to let Anis and Karina in.

Both of them sat on the sofa bench in the room. Daffa decides to stand behind the sofa where Anna sits.

It was obvious that Anis Tea was confused to start talking. Daffa was the first to break the silence in the room.

"What do you want to say, Nis? And is there anything you can tell me about tonight?" Tanya Daffa.

Anis Tea seemed to be looking towards Anna for quite a long time. Even a little too long.

After looking at Anna, Teh Anis was seen nodding slowly once, before finally starting to say.

"I came here to deliver Karina. According to him, he heard two people who attacked Zion's father accidentally" Teh Anis explained.

Meanwhile, at a glance Anna had caught a sad glint on the face of her friend, when she found an unfamiliar greeting from Daffa to him. But that's just a glimpse.

Karina then took a quick glance at Anna, who was now looking at her softly. And Karina hurriedly turned her gaze again to Daffa. With a bold look, Karina looked at the man she had and still loved.

"Yes. When I came here, I had an incident. That's why I asked a waiter to take me to a dressing room. As soon as I finished fixing my dress, I decided to go back to the party room."

"But on the way, I overheard two men arguing from the door of a rather open room. The one I know as Om Zion's voice. While the other one, I don't know.."

"Fearing to be caught eavesdropping, I chose to turn around to go to the dressing room, waiting for some time. But then I need to go to the toilet. And I went to the toilet too. Done that, I'm not rushing out of the toilet cabin.."

Until here, Karina seemed hesitant to continue her words.

"Then, what else happened?" Anna asked suddenly.

Karina looked back at Anna.

The two friends came back together for a long time. Until then, Karina suddenly just looked confusedly at Anna. Before finally returning to the story.

"Well, you know that I have a bad habit of listening to music with a head set. So, because I was tired of the party, I finally decided to listen to music through the head set in the toilet cabin.."

"Keep fitting head set I accidentally separated from my ears, I accidentally even heard two people who were whispering talking in the bathroom not far from the cabin where I was sitting.."

"That's the voice of a woman, whom I don't know. And also the voice of the man I heard was fighting with Om Zion!" Karina.

"They said something about a 'big plan to frame the woman'. But I didn't know that what she meant was you, Ann. Until I heard about you being accused of having attacked Om Zion earlier." Karina closed her words.

Up here, Anna's heart suddenly beats. Reflexively, he immediately hugged his best friend and reprimanded Karina.

"Basic sloppy! Didn't I tell you many times to give up your bad habits, Rin! Thank goodness the killer didn't know you were listening to them! You really made me worried sick (you really made me anxious)!" Reprimand Anna while still hugging Karina tightly.

For some time, the atmosphere became quiet.

"That means you can recognize the voice of the perpetrator, is that Miss Karina?" Ask Daffa suddenly.

At once Anna felt terror. Reflexively, he grabbed the heart-shaped necklace pendant perched on his neck. Anna turned to Daffa and gave her husband a sharp look. I hope Daffa understands what he wants to say.

'Don't say anything else, Daff!' anna's inner voice spoke.

Daffa seemed to graze in confusion towards Anna. "Must, you say something, honey?" Ask Daffa with a confused look.

Anna turned back to Daffa. Before finally saying a brief, "no. I didn't say anything" Anna said.

Anna then said something in a rather loud voice. "You're going to have a hard time recognizing the voice of the culprit again, right, Rin? You are the person who often forgets yes. " said Anna by putting gentle pressure on Karina's fingers.

Karina was actually confused by Anna's words. But, for some reason, he went back to following his heart to agree with Anna's words.

"Yes, I had forgotten the voice of the culprit." said Karina.

"More than that they were just whispers!" Karina is back.

Daffa let out a disappointed breath. He did not expect to be able to release strong evidence that would lead him to the identity of the perpetrator of the attack on Zion's father.

In his mind, Daffa also tried to find other evidence.

Shortly after, another knock was heard from behind the door.

Daffa opened it again and found Kak Marine's face that had been drenched by tears.

"I just heard what happened to Dad. Is it true that he was killed?!" Cecar Kak Marine with a half hysterical tone.

"Not killed, Brother. Dad's attacked.." Daffa rectifies Kak Marine's statement.

"Then did it..?" Marine then looked into the room at Anna.

Making Daffa's gaze suddenly harden, before finally giving Marine a firm answer.

"It's not Anna!"

"Oh!" Sister Marine looks down.

Then, he had not had time to say anything else when suddenly Daffa's phone rang loudly.

Daffa took out his cellphone from his pocket. And talk to the person across the phone.

"Yes?"

"..."

"What?! Good. I'll be there right now!" Say Daffa suddenly.

After Daffa hung up his phone call, he gave an explanation.

"Dad's condition is deteriorating. I'm.." Daffa gave Anna a doubtful look.

"Go, Daff! I'll be fine here. I might be together with Anis and Karina Tea. Go to the hospital right now! Dad's waiting for you!" Anna gave permission.

Daffa then gave Anna a look of thanks. And, relaxed and shameless, Daffa gave Anna a kiss on the head. Making Anna's face look embarrassed because she was still aware of the existence of Teh Anis, Kak Marine, and also Karina in the room.

"I'll be back (i'll be back)! Don't go anywhere either. I'll send the best security around this room. So you don't have to worry!" Daffa said as he looked at Anna seriously.

"Yes. Yep. Yep. I trust you. It's already! Go Daff! Dad's waiting for you!" Smoothen Anna.

And Daffa went with Marine. Leaving Anna the three with Teh Anis and Karina in the room.
