Face up

Arion awakens from his sleep when he hears the sound of horses from outside the house. He got up from his position and turned to the window.

Outside the house, Elena was feeding a horse with an apple. The horse ate it voraciously, Elena stroked it gently.

"You're awake, yes" Elena realized Arion was standing leaning against the doorway.

"They're our horses?" arion asked as he approached Elena.

"Yes, I think so" Elena replied.

Arion also stroked the brown horse, he glanced at the other horse that was eating grass. "That's Ken's horse" inwardly, he immediately recognized Kenneth's horse after seeing the horse's indifferent attitude.

"Oh yeah, one more" Elena picked up a strange animal that Arion was very familiar with. "This animal came with your horse. He was being spoiled for me"

"From!" Arion was happy to see the animal again. Foma had disappeared when they headed to Rabadar Empire, where Arion had a panic but he also could not focus on Foma. Due to the rush, Arion no longer thinks of Foma.

Arion carried Foma on both arms. The fox licked Arion's face like a puppy. Elena smiled faintly looking at the two of them.

After being satisfied with meeting Foma, Arion releases him and lets Foma play with his horse.

"Where's your friend?" ask Elena.

"He's still sleeping" replied Arion who kept paying attention to Foma.

"Arion, may I ask you something?" ask Elena.

"Hm?" Arion raised his eyebrows, turning to Elena.

"I'm sorry, this is just my guess, is it really you.. That whiteblood you're looking for?" Elena asked doubtfully.

Arion did not immediately reply, he just stared at Elena silently, making the girl embarrassed and awkward herself.

"If you don't want to answer, that's okay. I'm not forcing" Elena turned her face away.

"Yes, I'm a Whiteblood" Arion said suddenly, after a brief pause. Elena turned back with a slightly surprised face.

"So, yeah." Elena's gaze was on Foma, Arion looked at the animal. Slowly, Elena glanced at Arion's face which was lined with sunlight entering through the crevices of the trees.

"He's good-looking.." Inwardly Elena, his cheeks flushed back.

"Are you going to arrest me and hand me over for some money?" The sudden question from Arion made Elena's body twitch.

"Why do you think that?" ask Elena.

"I just don't want to lose faith anymore. I have wrongly trusted two people and now they are my enemies..." Arion lowered his head for a moment, then turned back to Elena. "I don't want a third person I trust to betray me"

Elena was silent hearing all that. He could hear from Arion's tone of voice filled with annoyance and anxiety. Elena could read that, she felt what Arion was feeling right now. Elena is quite sensitive to the feelings of someone around her.

Elena clasped Arion's hand with both hands. He stared fixedly at Arion's two blue eyes. Those bright eyes, those eyes that made her charm towards the man who was in front of her at this moment.

"You must have had a very difficult journey. I understand how you feel, when people you trust start to stay away from you, I feel it, just like you are now" Elena said.

"Betraying is painful, more than the wounds suffered in fighting. There is no cure, no one can treat the wounds inflicted by it. But.. the wound can recover, but only you can recover it"

Elena brought herself closer to Arion's body, one of her hands moving to touch Arion's field chest. He had to look up to look at the man's face.

"Why?" ask Elena. "Why did you choose to trust me?"

"Because..." Arion paused his sentence for a moment. He took the glasses off Elena's face. "Because you look like my sister, Faesa"

For a while they had no one to talk to each other, they remained in such a close position, until...

"Damn.."

Kenneth's voice startled them, Elena instantly moved away, her face was already flushed red, let alone Arion.

"It's early morning and you're busy making out there." Kenneth said as he sipped his coffee, he stood leaning against the door. "Just yesterday you guys got acquainted, but you've been acting like a couple"

Arion and Elena no one wants to argue Kenneth said because he was still in shock.

Kenneth glanced at his horse, his emotions peaking again. "You're there!" point it at the horse. "Yesterday you were as happy as you were, huh? Now that I'm hungry, how about horse satay? I don't know what it's like, what's important to eat"

The horse did not show any reaction, it kept eating and wagging its tail. It made Kenneth even more upset, but his frustration was lost because he saw Foma running to him.

"From!" he shouted, he immediately sat down to greet Foma. Kenneth catches Foma running towards him.

"Jeez, where have you been?" Kenneth groovily stroked Foma's soft hair. "I thought you disappeared and got pounced on by another animal"

Then, suddenly Kenneth's expression became flat, he was confused himself. "No, I don't think there's any way you're gonna die by another animal, unless that animal has more power than you"

Kenneth got up again while holding Foma. He looked at the two people who were in an awkward position. Kenneth sees Arion holding Elena's glasses.

"Oh, you guys, I'm sorry I interrupted you, you can go on, I'll go inside" Kenneth said. He hummed as he entered the house.

Arion shook his head slowly. Suddenly, Elena's face became even more shocked. Arion realized that and he asked.

"What's wrong?"

"There's someone who went into the forest" Elena replied.

Kenneth came back out after hearing Elena's reply. "Who?" tanyakanya.

"Come, but from her aura, this person is dangerous" Elena shook her head.

"Can't this forest make me get my Qube back?" ask Arion.

"No, this forest has been spotted and I can't pull the seal anymore" Elena displayed an anxious look on her face.

"Then we have to get out of this forest" Arion said.

"No, none of us will stay" Arion said firmly.

"But, how? We only have two horses" Kenneth said.

"I have my own vehicle" Elena replied. Not long after, the Hell Beast came from above and landed heavily beside Elena.

"Die, the skinny one!" jeremy Kenneth.

"Abviously, he's stronger than 10 adults" Elena said.

"We have to go now!" arion.

On the other hand, Klein was already inside the forest riding his horse. The man had arrived earlier than Reilo and the palace warriors.

He rode his horse at high speed. He thought there was something in front of him. It didn't take long, Klein immediately met with Arion and his two friends. He showed a surprised face because he did not expect to meet Arion here.

Arion was also surprised to see Klein arrive sooner, whereas Elena said she had just entered the forest.

"Whiteblood!" yells.

"Hurry up!" shout Arion.

Kenneth directly spurred his horse while carrying Foma in his bag. Elena sat on the back of her Hell Beast who was running with both her hands and feet. Arion is moving fast.

"Don't run away!"

Klein sped up the speed of his horse, he almost reached Arion. Klein immediately drew his sword and was about to smash it into Arion's body.

"Stay away from her!" exclaim Elena. He used the plants around him to attack Klein. Seeing the disturbance, Klein was forced to remove the annoying tree branches first and it gave Arion and his two friends a distance from him.

"Kill him!" scream Kenneth.

A branch of the tree wrapped around Klein's neck. The man had trouble breathing, his face turned blue.

Arion continued to look back as he moved away from Klein. Kenneth and Elena smiled in satisfaction, they were like a very passionate psycho while killing their victims.

However, the smile soon disappeared from their faces, after seeing Klein's body melt and watered into mud, as well as his horse.

"What-what?!" Kenneth was surprised.

"It's just cloning!" exciting Arion.

"No way, this forest is limiting its Qube ability!" jerrit Elena.

Arion sensed that something was coming from their left and right direction.

"Ken!"

"I understand!" answer Kenneth. He immediately pulled out his sword.

A second later, six needles three centimeters long and with larger sizes came from the left and right directions. Arion and Kenneth fended off the entire needle that came agilely while continuing to speed.

"From behind!" exciting Arion

Elena moved both her hands into the air. He controlled the branches of trees around him to fend off the needles that came. However, the number of needles was more so Elena was unable to fend them all off, one needle managed to escape and stuck it on Kenneth's shoulder.

"Argh! Shit.." Kenneth grimacing.

Elena was startled, Arion immediately looked back. The needle gave off a deep blue aura, a chain coming out from the top end of the needle. The chain was a Qube shaped like a chain, it extended all the way to the hands of someone behind.

That person was Klein who was still riding his horse. He grabbed the chain and pulled it, making Kenneth almost fall off his horse.

"He's got Kenneth. So apparently, he keeps Ken within his reach so he can't go anywhere" Arion's inner.

"Kenneth!" jerrit Elena.

"Keep moving, don't you take your grip off your horse!" arion.

Klein. "Whiteblood, you better stop and give up. Do you want your friend to suffer?"

Elena stared intently at Klein. "This guy... How did he get the Qube out here? Damn, the distance out of this forest is still far away, Arion and Kenneth will not be able to use their abilities!"

Klein pulled back the chain that was connected on Kenneth's shoulder. With great difficulty, Kenneth remained on his horse until the horse stopped because there was a movement of Kenneth who ordered him to stop.

"I can't hold on anymore." Kenneth fell to the ground. Inevitably, Arion followed down, he ran over to Kenneth.

"Hold on!" Arion holds Kenneth's body and holds him back from Klein's pull. Kenneth had to endure the pain of it.

Several tree branches appeared towards Klein. Klein's hand was enveloped in a pitch-blue aura, and the aura was sharpening. Klein slashed all the branches that were heading towards him until they were destroyed.

Elena turned around and descended from her Hell Beast. He pulled out two large daggers from his back, staring coldly at Klein. The skinny Hell Beast stood up with his body bent beside him.

"Take him off" Elena said.

"Oh?" Klein raised both eyebrows, he smiled sinisterly.

"Damn, how to unplug it?" muttered Arion who was still holding Kenneth.

"Leave me, go. Your life is more precious than mine.." Kenneth smiled faintly.

"Don't be dramatic" Arion replied with a flat look.

Suddenly, Foma came out of Kenneth's bag. He roared loudly, so his strength came out. Klein was surprised to see such a great power coming towards him.
