The Last Whiteblood's

The Last Whiteblood's
Story

"What?" Alice surprised. "Brian Blackclaws?"

Mender told me the real thing that happened.

That was the day before the incident. The day that Mender and Brian were still working together. They used to be in the same group, they called it The Gold. The purpose from the beginning of this group being formed was as mercenaries. They are often used during war, exploration, escort and others. They even get paid to clean up a city.

They went through this job for almost 4 years, until Brian became sultry with all this. He always felt dissatisfied, Brian looking for ways to gain the group can be more.

Until he heard there was a gold mine in abundance and no one knew of the existence of the mine.

He was suddenly excited. Brian immediately invited Mender and the group to flock there. They were together at Verg Village, where Alice's village lived first.

They asked permission to enter the mine, but the Village Chief forbade them from entering it because the mine was a sacred place and was strictly forbidden to take gold there. Brian and most of the group become disappointed. Mender invites them back and forgets about the mine, but Brian plans something in his head.

That is, slaughtering the entire village.

Brian immediately moved most of the group to return to the village. Mender learned this when one of the Gold members told him. Hearing that, Mender and the others immediately went there.

But, unfortunately, it's too late. The village was already destroyed and its citizens were mercilessly slaughtered. Furious, he ordered all members of The Gold to retreat. However, Brian and some of the members still decided to go to the mine.

They all went in there and took all the gold they could hold. At first nothing happened, until a nightmare they did not expect came to fetch their death. More than twenty ghosts came out from the ground and invaded all of them.

All of The Gold's members died horribly, except Brian. He used his teleportation ability to escape from there by carrying all the gold he was carrying.

Mender thought Brian wouldn't show up again. All members of The Gold are hunted down and become fugitives for their actions against Verg Village. Mender was also considered a fugitive and all members of The Gold were arrested. They were all sentenced to death.

He and Brian are left.

Alice nodded her forehead. He suddenly got dizzy. "I must.." he got up and did not continue his sentence. Alice went from there, to calm down.

Eden looked at Alice's back slowly away. He turned to Mender with his gaze flat.

"His life must have been very hard" Mender said, about Alice.

"I've felt it, but it's not as heavy as him" Eden replied. Eden felt a bit sorry for Alice about the things she was going through right now. And he met the man he thought was the cause of his family's death, apparently he was wrong to hunt people.

"You still want revenge?" ask Mender.

Eden's gaze suddenly turned cold. "Yes" he answered briefly. Mender sighed. "I'm not defending him, but I'm worried about you"

"I know, my time for revenge is not now. I can still be patient to wait" replied Eden.

"alright. We're diverting it to Ethinos. What do you want?"

Eden told me everything. From him fighting the spider man, meeting Yora and confining the spider man in the castle of Midoria.

"I don't think we need to enter his mind. It was clear what Sava wanted to make the people of the Demi-Human race become savages" Mender said. Eden was silent to hear his explanation.

Mender tells Sava that he is after the energy and blood of the Human race to make some powerful drugs for himself and his Demi-Human race troops.

"You said Sava had a guy named Yora, a chameleon, right? He was one of his men in charge of absorbing human energy and blood. But she's not the witch"

Eden frowned. "Didn't you? Then, who?"

"Sava must have hired two of his men for the mission. One magician was in charge of infusing tantrums magic in the body of the Demi-Human race and the other was in charge of absorbing human blood and energy"

"So, I have to catch the witch first?" guess Eden.

"You're right and you're not. What about when you go after the witch but the absorbent is doing it?" ask Mender.

Eden speechless. Mender's right, how could he do all that?

"They are both important and equally troublesome. In that case you have to work with someone else"

Eden nodded slowly.

"Alright, I appreciate all your information"

"One more. This Sava plan will definitely jeopardize Demi-Human's reputation, you know who I'm talking about?"

"Yes, of course" Eden rose from his chair.

Alice sat pensively looking at the river in front of her. His eyes were swollen from crying. Yeah, she's crying. The firm and cold captain let out his weak side.

Eden came up from behind, looking at the river. "You crying?"

Alice was startled, she immediately wiped her tears. "T-no" he answered, lying.

"Water flows down your cheeks" Eden didn't even see it, she just closed her eyes, enjoying the afternoon breeze.

"I'm just flickering"

"No"

"Yes"

"No! I said I'm not crying!" shouted Alice.

"Yes. And now you're acting like a kid"

"Why are you so annoying? I was hoping you'd meet someone as thick as you"

"I've met him and it's you"

"I'm not a bitch, it's you! The weirdest, the most annoying and rude"

Eden bent her body and stroked Alice's back. "Whatever you say. Your back is proof I was rude to you, right?"

Alice recalled the moment she was thrown onto the pillar by Eden and her back hit hard.

"Yes, then?"

"I'll lose it" he answered. He kept stroking Alice's back.

"Basic freak. Still I consider you a rude person" Alice brushed Eden's hand off her back. "Because it doesn't hurt"

Eden sat next to Alice. "Well, you're strong" muttered Eden who was heard by Alice.

"By the way, what's your name?" ask Alice.

"Eden"

"I'm Alice"

"Hmphs. Are you calm? You're not crying anymore"

"I told you -"

"Stop lying" Eden stared fixedly at Alice. "What's wrong with you crying? Crying can be calming. I don't think of you as a crybaby, everyone ever cries"

Alice stared at the ground and strangely her cheeks slightly blushed. "You.. ever cry?"

"If there is a chance" replied Eden, perfunctorily.

"Damn it, you're such a bitch" Alice said. A few seconds later, he laughed. "You're such a bitch!"

"Are you angry or happy? Strange base" Eden looked at him confusedly.

Alice glanced at Eden who was staring at the river. He saw Eden's cheek that was red from his leg kick earlier this afternoon.

Alice touched it, Eden's cheek turned soft. "What are you doing?"

"Pump your cheek too" Alice slipped. "I mean. Your cheeks are red"

"Huh? The red? You want to say my cheeks are blushing? Look at you, red as a tomato" Eden said. Alice herself did not realize her face was that red, she immediately moved away from Eden.

"Damn, why am I red like this? And.." he touched his chest. "Why am I pounding. No, no, no, where is possible. Ahaha! It can't be, can it?" inner Alice.

Alice glanced at Eden who was looking back at her. "Why are you looking at me?!"

"Why are you glancing at me like that?" reply Eden.

"Who glanced at you?!"

"Your eyes are very clear, strange"

"You're a freak!"

Alice immediately got up from her seat. "I-I. leave first. Hari.. already wants dark" he said stammering.

"You're having a hard time putting sentences together, huh?"

"Why am I nervous?!" inner Alice. "Whatever! I went" he was about to step away, but Eden called him.

"What else is it?"

"I'm coming"

"Huh? Y-yasudah"

They both went back to town. The day is also getting dark.
