The Last Queen of Peacelava
CHAPTER 08
Zhang Pei bowed his body then greeted Xin Qian's daughter and the masters. Zhang Pei asked for permission to return to Longyou country, but master Lin asked him to stay in the land of Peacelavia.
"Master, how can you ask a stranger to stay in this palace?" ji Nian asked who did not accept with master Lin's decision.
"Because I know that Zhang Pei has half human and half demon blood."
"If Master knew he was a demon, why did Master ask him to stay here?"
"Ji Nian, I am the head of the Masters in this palace. Just obey my orders!"
Zhang Pei smiled and confirmed master Lin's words. Then Xin Qian escorted him towards the room that Zhang Pei was going to occupy. Without them noticing, Ji Nian quietly followed them from behind.
"Xin Qian's!" call Zhulong who is running from behind them.
"Zhulong?" Xin Qian stopped and turned her body.
"You have forgotten my food" said Zhulong.
"Zhulong, I'm sorry. I will immediately bring you some food after I deliver Zhang Pei to his room," Xin Qian replied.
"Who is he? Is he more important than me?" ask Zhulong ketus.
"Not so, Zhulong," Xin Qian replied softly.
"Is this little cat your pet?" Zhang Pei raised Zhulong with one hand.
"Hey, you freak! Put me down now! Or am I gonna bite you?" Zhulong thrashing.
"Gigit if you can."
"She .. Can she hear me? Xin Qian, is this real?"
"What you hear is real. I can hear and understand the speech of all animals." Zhang Pei lowered Zhulong and stroked her small nose.
"Daughter, I am a half-stealth human, so I can understand what all animals say. But there is no demon blood flowing in your body. Then why are you able to talk to animals?"
"I don't know, Zhang Pei."
"Listen to a half-demon human! Xin Qian is a very special girl, that's why she can talk to animals." Zhulong confirmed her words.
"I know if Xin Qian's daughter is a very special girl."
"He has made me fall in love since I first met him" Zhang Pei said.
"Zhang Pei, come with me!"
"Okay, Princess."
They stopped in front of a room whose door was locked. Xin Qian unlocked the lock and allowed Zhang Pei to enter and rest.
Zhang Pei looked at the entire room and he was curious about a box on the table. As he opened the box, he was struck by a swarm of fireflies coming out from it. Xin Qian looked at Zhang Pei's face who was smiling at him.
"Are they all your friends?" zhang Pei asked as he looked at the swarm of fireflies flying out the window.
"Right," Xin Qian replied with a smile.
Zhang Pei was still smiling and continued to stare at Xin Qian's face, thus making Xin Qian a little embarrassed.
"What's he doing? Why look at me like that?" inner Xin Qian lowered her head.
"What do you think, Princess? Why are you looking down?" Zhang Pei brought his face closer to Xin Qian
"Zhang Pei, you need to rest. I'm going out now."
"Wait on! Don't you want to accompany me here for a while?"
"What do you mean?"
"I spoke to Zhulong, didn't I?"
"I don't want to. I want to go with Xin Qian."
Xin Qian opened the window and stood in front of him. Zhang Pei caught up with him and stood beside him. Zhulong jumped on the mattress and circled around on the blanket and laid her body down.
"All right." Zhang Pei looked into Xin Qian's eyes.
"I don't particularly like Zhang Pei, because he's close to Xin Qian. But for some reason when I saw them with each other I felt that they were very suitable" Zhulong said, moving her hands and feet.
Seeokor butterfly came over to Xin Qian and whispered in her ear. The butterfly said that the demons had started to run out of pure energy, because Xin Qian had almost lost her life after being exposed to poison from a spider.
Xin Qian wanted to tell Zhulong that, but Zhang Pei was standing next to her and saw a butterfly whispering in Xin Qian's ear.
"How can I tell Zhulong about this? I won't let Zhang Pei or anyone else know if I'm hiding a demon inside the palace" Xin Qian's inner voice with a puzzled look.
"Daughter, what are you thinking? What did that butterfly whisper to you?" ask Zhang Pei.
"none. The butterfly just saluted me."
"Then why does your face look so confused?"
"I remember that I hadn't finished tidying up the book I had read in the library. So I have to go to tidy it up."
"Aren't you supposed to ask Dayang to tidy up the books?"
"I never asked anyone else to tidy up the books I had read before."
"But why?"
"Come, Zhang Pei. I just don't like it."
"I can help you."
"no need. I don't like it when other people help me tidy up the books in the library."
Ji Nian was still monitoring them from outside and accidentally hit a Dayang who was carrying a glass of water. The sound of broken glass was heard in Zhang Pei's room.
"I'm sorry, Chief. I accidentally hit you," said one Dayang lowered his head.
"Ji Nian's? What's going on?" Xin Qian approached Ji Nian, followed by Zhang Pei and Zhulong.
"Daughter, I was passing by here and accidentally hit a ladyboy." Ji Nian held the wet part of her hanfu.
"Is there anyone injured between you?" ask Xin Qian.
"No, Princess. I'm gonna clean up this shard of glass." The dayang collects broken glass.
"Ji Nian, you should dry your clothes immediately," Xin Qian said staring at Ji Nian's wet hanfu.
"I'll dry it out soon," Ji Nian replied with a smile.
"All right, I gotta go." Xin Qian stepped out of the place.
"Gelmon! Do you like Xin Qian's daughter?" Ji Nian whispered in Zhang Pei's ear.
"Did you feel rivaled if I liked Xin Qian's daughter?" ask Zhang Pei.
"Look! I grew up together with Xin Qian's daughter in this country. So I know more about princess Xin Qian's taste." Ji Nian confirmed.
"But I don't care about it." Zhang Pei left Ji Nian and closed the door of his room.
"Demon based! He won't listen to me at all." Ji Nian stared at the door of Zhang Pei's already closed room.

In the library Xin Qian walked into where the demons were hiding. Xin Qian was surprised when she saw the trees and plants there that were beginning to wither and fall.
The river water in it had started to recede and was slightly brown in color. The demons were afraid that if they were to die, it meant that they would not be able to serve Xin Qian for a long time. One of the birds approached Xin Qian by staggering as it held back her already limp body.
"Xin Qian, help us. Our pure power will soon run out."
"Xin Qian, what exactly happened to you?"
"Hold on. I'll purify your energy again."
