CHAPTER 44
Ji Nian took Xin Qian to a quiet place and looked around her if no one saw them.
"Ji Nian, what do you want to say?" xin Qian asked as she looked around her.
"Your Majesty, I was listening to Jiang Li's conversation with the village chief. The village chief said that they were short of groceries and asked Jiang Li to give them groceries from the palace, but Jiang Li was not willing to give them a bit of groceries." Ji Nian explained.
"Ji Nian, this can't be allowed. I need to talk to Jiang Li." Xin Qian was about to go see Jiang Li, but Ji Nian held her back.
"No, Your Grace. Jiang Li won't listen to you."
Xin Qian fell silent for a moment and thought.
"You're right, Ji Nian. He won't listen to my words. Then we should give food to the people, even without asking permission from Jiang Li."
"You're right, Your Majesty. We have to help the people, it is not important if Jiang Li does not give us permission."
"Ji Nian, order some Soldiers to go to the village and bring the groceries in tribute. I'll also ride on horseback, but we have to make sure neither Jiang Li nor Wang Shu see this."

Ji Nian asked some of the Soldiers to include groceries into the tribute, also had the soldier prepare two horses for his ride and for Xin Qian.

"The food will be taken to the countryside and distributed to the villagers. I will ride the two horses with Her Majesty the Queen" Ji Nian replied.
"But, Chief. I'm afraid that if His Majesty King Jiang Li finds out about this, he won't spare me" the soldier said, bowing his gaze.
"You don't think about it. We just need to make sure that no one sees us taking this food out of the palace."
"Alright, Chief. I'll ask the others to be careful."
Xin Qian walked over to Ji Nian and a few Soldiers.
"His Majesty the Queen." Everyone bowed their bodies giving respect to Xin Qian.
"Ji Nian, is everything ready?"
"Everything is ready. We can leave now, Your Majesty"

Dayang was walking quickly and accidentally hit Shishi. The dayang apologizes to Shishi, but Shishi does not stop scolding him.
"Why don't you use your eyes when you walk?" snapped Shishi.
"I'm sorry, Miss. I was in a hurry, so I didn't see if Miss Shishi was in front of me." The dayang looked down and did not dare to look at Shishi's face.
"Oo, you're in a hurry, right? Why so rushed? Are you being chased by an evil demon?"

Not long after, the Dayang met Zhang Pei who was drinking accompanied by the spirit of the guard, but the Dayang did not see the spirit of the guard. That dayang immediately approached Zhang Pei and conveyed his meaning.
"Master Zhang Pei!" call the Dayang to Zhang Pei.
"Master, I want to tell you something."
"What do you want to say?"
The dayang was extremely nervous and afraid that Zhang Pei would not believe what he said.

After Zhang Pei and Dayang left the place, Shishi came out of his hiding place.
"Lui Wei wants to kill His Majesty the King? But what is the problem with His Majesty the King? Didn't she hate Xin Qian so much?" shishi Gumam.
"Will Her Majesty the King only be used as a lure to keep Her Majesty away from Jiang Li?"
"Eitherway. I'll think about it later."
The dayang went to the kitchen to prepare food, but without realizing it Lui Wei walked slowly behind him. Lui Wei also carried a sharp knife in her right hand.
Lui Wei then drew Dayang's hand and took him outside the palace.
"Miss, please let me go! Where do you want to take me?" The dayang thrashed to release his hand from Lui Wei's grasp.
"Shut up! I'll kill you because you know my plan." Lui Wei widened her eyes.
"No, Miss. Please don't do that."
The dayang continued to plead with Lui Wei not to kill him, but Lui Wei did not listen to him and kept thrusting the sharp knife into Dayang's stomach many times.
The dayang fell and died. Lui threw her corpse into the forest for the wild beasts to eat it and no one else knew about it.

Zhang Pei went to exit the palace and asked Xin Qian's whereabouts as well as Ji Nian to one of the Soldiers.
"Soldier, come here!"
"What's up, Master?"
"Do you know where Her Majesty the Queen and chief Ji Nian went?"
"I'm sorry, Master. But I don't know where Her Majesty the Queen as well chief Ji Nian went. I've been standing guard here since, but I don't see anyone leaving the palace."
"All right then. You can continue with your duties."
