CHAPTER 24

In this ball game, Ji Nian's team managed to defeat Zhang Pei's team. Zhang Pei's team lost as Shishi continued to follow Zhang Pei and it made Zhang Pei feel uneasy. Master Lin asked them to return to the palace and clean themselves up.

"Zhang Pei, I'm sorry. Our team lost because of me."

"It's good if you realize it. You shouldn't have played with me."

"Hey, demon! If you lose, don't blame anyone else. You strange demon!"

Zhang Pei left them with a flat face. Shishi was about to follow him, but Ji Nian pulled him instead.

"Why are you following that demon? Didn't he say that he didn't want you to follow him again?"

Shishi stomped his feet in annoyance and left Ji Nian as well as his friends without saying a word.

"The woman is very strange" said Ji Nian.

"Chairman, I think he's obsessed with master Zhang Pei a lot" Junqing replied.

"You were right, and the demon was uncomfortable with Shishi's presence in his life. That was so fun."

"What's so fun?"

In his room, Zhang Pei looked at Lani who was playing with Zhulong. Then he approached them.

"Zhulong, are you here?" ask Zhang Pei. But Zhulong did not answer him at all.

"Why do you look sad Zhulong?" Zhang Pei asked again, but there was no answer from him.

"Where is Xin Qian's daughter?"

"Zhang Pei, Xin Qian asked me to leave her alone."

"Where?"

"In the garden behind the palace."

"Why did Xin Qian ask you to leave her?"

"He was sad, because he had rejected Jiang Li."

Jiang Li went to look for Zhulong, she closed the door of her room. As he turned around, he accidentally bumped into Shishi.

Shishi widened his eyes and also opened his mouth.

"Princess Xin Qian does not deserve the title of a Queen. He also did not deserve to be with master Zhang Pei."

"Your Majesty, I'm sorry. I accidentally saw the door of your room open and I saw a lot of people here." Jiang Li looked nervous and looked for an excuse.

"Your Majesty, are you ill?" Jiang Li approached the king. He was now very close to Xin Qian who was crying and sitting next to the King.

"No, Jiang Li. I'm just a little tired." The king answered with a pale face.

"Then why is princess Xin Qian crying?" asked Jiang Li.

"He was very afraid that his father would leave him" the king replied with a smile.

"Your Majesty, princess Xin Qian still needs you the most. So you need to get well soon."

"Jiang Li, how were your days in this palace? Are you happy?"

"Of course, Your Majesty. But something's not making me feel good."

The king and everyone there smiled.

Xin Qian went out with Jiang Li and closed the door of her father's room.

"Daughter, where are you going?" Jiang Li held onto Xin's hand that was about to leave.

"I want to go to the room. What's up, Jiang Li? Do you need anything?" xin Qian asked in a low tone.

"No."

"Alright, then let go of my hand!"

"I'm sorry."

Xin Qian smiled then left Jiang Li.
