Ji Nian leaned Xin Qian on a tree and channeled her pure energy to Xin Qian. Xin Qian felt a little pain, but she had to endure it.

They had now arrived at a forest that Lian and Zhulong had crossed before.

"Uncle, I heard his mother's voice calling me. Did Uncle hear that too?"

Lian was about to go to look for the source of the sound, but Lu Xiang stopped her.

"Why did Uncle stop me? I want to go find Mother."

"That could be the voice of a demon disguised as your mother. They deliberately wanted to trap you with that voice."

"But I'm pretty sure it's Mother's voice. Your mother must be very worried about me."

"If you keep going, you'll endanger yourself. You've never been to this place before, let me go find your mother."

Xin Qian and Ji Nian were still walking through the forest. With a loud voice they called out the names of Lian and also Zhulong.

"Lian, it's Mother. Mother came to pick you up."

"Lian!"

"Gaz!"

Not long after, Lu Xiang came right behind them. Xin Qian turned her head and to her surprise she saw the figure of the man she loved so much was now in front of her eyes.

Lu Xiang was immediately stunned to see the beauty of Xin Qian's face. But he still had to be strict to the humans who came to the forest.

Xin Qian's eyes were glazed with tears as they were engulfed in the taste of haru. He never thought he would meet his girlfriend again.

"You're back ...."

Xin Qian ran towards Lu Xiang and was about to hug him, but swiftly Lu Xiang directly thrust a sword into Xin Qian's face.

"Who are you? Why did you enter this forest? Are you a human who wants to hunt the animals that are in this forest?"

"W-what do you mean? You don't recognize me?"

"Zhang Pei, I miss you so much. Don't you miss me?"

Lu Xiang nodded. "Who exactly is this woman? Why did he call me Zhang Pei, just like that cat?"

"Zhang Pei, what are you thinking? Lower your sword and embrace me. Don't you miss me too much?"

"Don't act like you're close to me! I don't know you at all!"

Xin Qian really could not believe if her lover said that out loud in front of her.

"Zhang Pei, do you really not recognize me?"

"You have never changed! You are a very annoying demon!" said Ji Nian.

Just as Lu Xiang was about to reply to Xin Qian's remark, he suddenly kissed the existence of the demons near them.

"They're coming here. We should immediately go to hide," Lu Xiang said.

Lu Xiang directly pulled Xin Qian's hand and was followed by Ji Nian. While running, Xin Qian recalled the past with Zhang Pei as the two of them ran together.

This was the first time Lu Xiang held a woman's hand. Somehow he felt from within Xin Qian's body flowing an enormous power. He also felt that there was a flow of electricity from Xin Qian's body flowing into his body.

Lu Xiang turned his head towards Xin Qian and Xin Qian smiled at him. But Lu Xiang did not return that smile in the slightest.

They stopped in front of a very dark cave.

"We have to get into this cave" Lu Xiang said.

"How can we trust you so easily?" ask Ji Nian.

"You must trust me, for I am the guardian of this forest."

"But it was not you who suspected us of being hunters. Then why are you asking us to take refuge from the demons? You even held my hand tightly."

Lu Xiang instantly let go of that grasp.

"I'm just trying to protect a woman, because women are weak creatures."

Xin Qian was surprised by Lu Xiang's words. He does not accept if he is considered weak by others.

The demons were getting closer, and Lu Xiang asked Xin Qian as well as Ji Nian to enter the cave immediately.

Arriving inside, Xin Qian's body looked extremely radiant and made Lu Xiang flustered.

"Actually who is this woman? How could his body let out light in such a dark place?" his inner.

Then Xin Qian took out a swarm of fireflies from her palm which made the situation inside the cave even brighter.

Lu Xiang was made astonished by Xin Qian. Because he had never expected that a pure human like Xin Qian possessed a power that not all humans or demons possessed.

"I'm not sure if you're a pure human being."

"I can do anything that no human or demon can do."

"That's impossible! You must be the devil in disguise." Lu Xiang thrust his sword towards Xin Qian and Ji Nian.

"Have you lost your mind? You should be able to tell the difference between a pure human being and a demon, too" Ji Nian said.

"You must have conspired with those demons!" reply Lu Xiang.
