CHAPTER 38

Xin Qian and Zhang Pei decided to return to the palace, as it was felt that their efforts to find the damascus sword and remove the gemstone from Xin Qian's body had been in vain.

They did not find the sword, and about the gemstone it seemed to have indeed become the destiny of Xin Qian.

"Your Majesty, I understand how you feel. But at least we have tried, even though our efforts ended up in vain," said Zhang Pei who tried to calm Xin Qian's heart.

They continued their journey back to the palace. But while they were still in the middle of the forest, suddenly a crow flew over to them and carried Xin Qian flying.

"Shut up! I will take you far away until no one can find you, including Jiang Li," Lui Wei replied, then laughed.

Jiang Li heard a strange sound issued by Bingjie, then she went to the source of the sound.

"That was Bingjie's voice, must have happened something with Xin Qian," Jiang Li's inner.

"Soldiers, you go to find the Queen elsewhere!" jiang Li shouted to the soldiers.

"Okay, Your Majesty," the soldiers replied.

After seeing the soldiers leave the place, Jiang Li immediately moved to use the science of teleportation to look for Bingjie's whereabouts.

"Lui Wei, where are you taking me?" ask Xin Qian.

"Do you see that beautiful abyss? I'll take you there, Your Majesty," Lui Wei replied as she pointed towards the steep ravine.

Xin Qian was very panicked, then she bit Lui Wei's hand and made her fall.

"Eehhh, you brash!" xin Qian said.

Lui Wei then caught Xin Qian using her strength, Xin Qian floated up and was directed towards the steep ravine.

"Lui Wei, don't do that!" exclaim Xin Qian.

"You don't want me to throw it into that abyss?" ask Lui Wei.

"I beg you, Lui Wei. Don't do that!" Xin Qian pleaded.

"Lui Wei, please. I'll do anything for you" Xin Qian replied.

"Yes yes, but I don't want to see you alive, Your Majesty. Because if you stay alive, you'll only be a hindrance to me getting Jiang Li." Lui Wei instantly let go of Xin Qian and made Xin Qian slowly fall over.

"Xin Qian!!" call Jiang Li in panic.

"Jiang Li?" Lui Wei was surprised to see Jiang Li's presence there.

Jiang Li immediately flew towards Xin Qian and grabbed her hand and held her back, Xin Qian's body was extremely trembling and cold.

"What happened to your arm?" Jiang Li looked in Xin Qian's eyes.

Xin Qian returned the gaze, but then she lowered her gaze.

"What did he say? Didn't he ask the crow to take me away?" inner Xin Qian was a little annoyed with Jiang Li.

"What did Bingjie do to you?" asked Jiang Li.

"Bingjie?" xin Qian asked confusedly.

Then a crow came to them, and the crow flapped its wings.

"Your Majesty, I'm sorry. I have failed in my duties" Bingjie said.

"Bingjie, did you hurt her?" jiang Li asked with a furious feeling.

"Why did he scold the crow? Didn't he ask the crow to take me?" inner Xin Qian.

"Didn't I order you to bring him before me without hurting him? But why did you hurt him? And you saw that? Lui Wei almost dropped it into the abyss." Jiang Li was really angry at Bingjie, as Bingjie was unable to perform the task she was given.

"I'm sorry, Your Majesty. I really did not intend to injure Her Majesty the Queen, but her Majesty the queen who thrashed and asked me to release her. After that Miss Lui Wei attacked me from behind and made one of my wings slightly injured, so Her Majesty the Queen fell." Bingjie.

"Jiang Li, don't scold him like that! What he said was true, I don't know if he intends to take me back to the palace," Xin Qian said.

Bingjie who heard that was feeling a little withered with Xin Qian. He felt that all this time he had been wrong to regard all humans in the land of Peacelavia as an enemy.

While Jiang Li felt humiliated by Xin Qian's words, she once again held onto Xin Qian's left arm and made him feel pain. Then Jiang Li removed her hand from Xin Qian's arm.

"You all right? We better return to the palace now," Jiang Li softly said.
