CHAPTER 05

They moved places using the science of teleportation and went to the forest. They appeared right in front of the cripple to head him off.

"Stop!! Who're you?" ask Xin Qian.

"Daughter, come here! It's your mother." That person showed a face that was very similar to that of Queen Lieng.

"Mother?" Xin Qian released Zhulong and walked slowly closer to the person. He was affected by a face that resembled his mother.

"No!! She is not the queen of Lieng!!" Ji Nian confirmed and retracted Xin Qian's hand so as not to approach the person.

"Xin Qian, you must not be easily consumed by the devil's trickery. She just changed her face like queen Lieng so she could trick you." Zhulong explained.

"No, Daughter. I'm your mother, Mother misses you so much. Come with Mother and we will live happily together!" the demon's reply incited Xin Qian.

"No!! My mother is gone. You're a demon that resembles my mother's face." Xin Qian confirmed.

The demon then showed his ugly real face and limped over to Xin Qian. Ji Nian prepared to slowly pull out his sword.

"I'll take you to the demon country, Xin Qian. I'll hand you over to king Wang Shu." The demon pulled Xin Qian's hand.

Ji Nian directly attacked the demon with his sword. They both fought using swords, until the demon made Ji Nian bounce into a pile of tree branches and his sword was taken by the demon.

Xin Qian fought the demon using one sword, whereas the demon used two swords at once. Zhulong also helped Xin Qian to fight the demon.

Ji Nian got up and flew over to attack the demon from above. But the demon was very strong and made the three of them bounce off the rocks.

The demon walked towards Xin Qian to attack her. Then Xin Qian thought of making the demon freeze. He touched the ground in front of him and immediately the ground that the demon was on was frozen and made the demon unable to move in the slightest.

Ji Nian took advantage of the opportunity to take his sword and attack back the demon. The demon was defeated and his body slowly turned to ashes.

"Daughter, are you okay?"

"I'm doing fine. How's yours?"

"I'm fine too. I'll help you stand up."

"Thank you, Ji Nian."

"Together."

"Where's Zhulong?"

"I'm here."

"You okay?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Daughter, we must return to the palace immediately."

Without them noticing, the ashes of the demons they had defeated turned into black spiders. The black spider crept into Ji Nian's body and hid in his clothes.

Arriving at the palace, the spider leapt towards the bushes and entered the palace through an open window.

Zhulong ran into the palace and accidentally stuck her toenails in Xin Qian's hanfu and made Xin Qian almost fall over. Ji Nian swiftly caught Xin Qian and the two of them were now staring at each other.

The sun began to set, the Dayang palace prepared food for dinner. While in the room, Xin Qian was learning about the system of government in the kingdom, because soon she would become a Queen.

A spider entered his room through a crack under the door and bit him. Xin Qian felt that there was something on her neck, she immediately held onto her neck and felt a bite mark. He didn't pay much heed to the bite marks, because he thought they were just ant bite marks.

"Tok .. tokb... tok ...." The sound of knocking from behind Xin Qian's room door.

"Daughter, dinner's ready. The King has been waiting for the Princess below" said a palace attendant.

"Alright, I'll be right down," Xin Qian replied in a slightly high tone.

Xin Qian walked down the stairs with a pale face. He felt a pain in his head, but he tried to endure it. He had not stepped on the last step of the stairs, he suddenly fell and fainted.

Everyone at the table was shocked by what they saw. Xin Qian was unconscious before them. King Arlo approached Xin Qian and held her head.

He tried to wake up his beloved Princess, but Xin Qian did not wake up at all. King Arlo brought Xin Qian into his room and ordered the court physician to treat his daughter.

"Your Majesty, Xin Qian's daughter has been bitten by a poisonous animal and this poison has almost spread throughout her body. If not treated immediately, it will endanger the life of the Princess."

"I won't let Xin Qian's life be in danger. Tell me what should I do?"

"Your Majesty, I will draw out the poison as best I can."

"Alright, Physician. Please save my daughter."

The healer exerted all her strength to draw out the poison that spread within Xin Qian's body. But the Physician instead spewed blood from his mouth as it was not powerful enough to attract the entire poison in Xin Qian's body.

Master Lin Yang used his power to draw the poison from the Princess' body. But that made him fall off.
