The arrival of Ricky

 

The first experience of eating and staying overnight in the camp left a deep impression on Zelly's heart. He had never done that before, even imagining it. But now he looks more and more changed, both from his attitude and also his words. He began to take good care of both things so as not to hurt the hearts of others. And everyone can see that big change. No exception Habibah, he was very aware of the change from his superiors. Although he did not know the cause of this man could change that much but he also felt happy about it.

Habibah was checking reports from the foremen at his desk. At that time Zelly the boss was out, so he was alone in the office. Suddenly Rudy the Askep came to visit the first division office where Habibah worked. But he came alone, even he came on a motorcycle instead of the company inventory car he used to use.

" Hey, where's Mr Zelly?" ask her as soon as she enters the room.

"Good Day sir, sorry Mr. Zelly is out sir." said Habibah while standing from his seat in honor of the arrival of guests.

" Are you in the office? Why haven't you come home yet?" ask Rudy again.

" I'm myself sir, and I happen to still have work to double-check that's why I haven't come home" Habibah explained.

" What do you wear to go home with the afternoon?" continued again.

" I have camp sir." said Habibah briefly.

" What..!? With camp..!?" he was very surprised to hear the girl's words.

" Here..!? You have camp here..!?" ask her again to convince her that what she heard was true.

" Yes, I have a camp here. Is something wrong? Can't I camp here sir?" sahut Habibah wonder.

" No. no can't, just surprised that there are girls who want to join the camp in a place like this. Strange to hear, usually men who want to camp if there are most mothers who want. But you're still a girl how can you join the camp as well?"

" Ordinary sir, the reaction of a father like Mr. Zelly aja. I'm used to living like that. So it is not strange at all." replied Habibah while continuing his work.

Rudy could only be silent while watching the girl who was across the table in front of him. What's Zelly's change because of him? If it was true because of this girl, it meant that this girl could have a great influence on the people around her without her noticing. If he realized it, his attitude would not be like this. Really lucky the guy who can get her.

Rudy finally left the first division office because after a long wait Zelly never returned. Likewise with Habibah, he went home to a simple tent camp that he occupied. And after two weeks Habibah went home to his parents. In addition to visiting his family he also shopped for his needs during his time at the camp for a few weeks. When he had just arrived home, he was startled by a voice that greeted him from a distance.

" Nur...!!" the voice called. When he turned to see who the owner of the voice was he was already startled with a pretty tight hug from the person.

" Ricky..?" he said he could not believe that his friend had come to his village and was hugging him. Slowly the girl let go of Ricky's embrace which made her really dislike.

" Why are you here ?" ask again.

" I'm here, you haven't heard so long so I'm looking for you just so it's clear how you're doing." he answered casually while embracing one of Habibah's arms and taking him to sit on his porch chair.

" Where do you know my home address?" habibah asked, wondering how Ricky knew the address of the house.

" Just find the address of the hard time.. There are many people I can ask Nur. so I will not be lost.." he said with a little puffing up his chest.

" aihh.. Nur... Far away I didn't come here to be interrogated with you. I'm here because I miss you, so at least you ask me about the news I used to cake.." poked him while snatching at Habibah.

" I've seen you all right, so don't ask me again. What I want to ask you is how can you be here instead of you being in college?" habibah replied ignoring Ricky who was sulking.

" I asked Alvian.. Satisfied..!?" answer with a ketus.

" Oh.. How's Alvian doing?" habibah asked Ricky with the intention of teasing his friend. Because he's sure Ricky's going to grumble and he likes to see Ricky in the middle.

" you are yes is it not outrageous Nur..? I am here from earlier hoping you ask how I am not asked at all, Alvian turn just you ask the news and even that you ask me. You don't feel very good to know..!?" his chatter with an annoyed face, just looks adorable when Ricky is sulking so.

" Is... Alvian right I did not see the man the map I asked, lha you have I seen that you are fine continue what is to be asked? " said Habibah with a tone of indifference to Ricky.

" You are evil." said Ricky, leaning his head on Habibah's shoulder. But immediately held by Habibah's hands.

" Yes, you still like this. You are not children who can be spoiled as I am yes, you are an adult do not deserve to be spoiled like this." Habibah protested.

" Who told you not to be spoiled with me, so let me be spoiled with you. I don't mind spoiling you." replied Ricky, grinning the horse.

" Basic don't know shame, everywhere known spoiled is not a guy" said Habibah.

" I'm one of those unusual guys. hehehe.." Ricky's laugh made Habibah's eyes whizzed. And that makes Ricky's laughter even more rattling.

" Where are you sleeping?" habibah asked to stop Ricky's laughter.

" While in the inn, but if I may sleep in your house as a special guest" said Ricky volunteered to be a guest at Habibah's house.

" Are you that special? But, I'm not here, Rick, I now live in a camp at work. I just went home to shop. Tomorrow morning I am back at work. Then how are you here? What do you want to do while here?" ask Habibah again.

" What if I come with you to work?"

" Can you work in the field?" habibah asked unsure.

" I'll see if I can get on with the job if I can't, I'm back here" Ricky said.

That night Ricky stayed at the inn, after the dawn prayer Ricky actually came to join Habibah's workplace. Ricky was jostling with the laborers who were behind Dum's truck. And Ricky really salutes Habibah, he never thought that the girl would work this hard. But not one bit there was a sense of compulsion in his eyes, everything was done with all his heart. Truly an amazing girl.
