Ricky Confession

The days passed without feeling, the days changed weeks, the weeks changed months and the months changed years. Three years passed without feeling. But there is something different from Habibah, she is now a beautiful girl who is more friendly and gentle. The change was not without cause, the girl was determined to change her attitude and open herself and her heart to accept the presence of those around her to become her friends. And Ricky was the one who influenced that change a lot. The shameless attitude that he always showed the girl slowly began to be accepted and was considered ordinary by him. Ricky also knows his limits in acting on Habibah which is in terms of appearance can not be treated carelessly. Now the girl is easy to talk to and exchange ideas. He also smiles easily, although it is still difficult to laugh. During these three years a lot has changed from him, especially since the departure of Purnomo from his former employer's house. Even one day he asked Ricky a question that made him realize that he fell in love with Purnomo.

" Rick, can I ask you something?" ask her doubtfully.

From that day on he knew about his feelings all this time that he felt at Purnomo was love. A love he never answered in years.

From then on he was determined to change and open up to new things. And it helped him a lot when he did PSG in a government office during the XI class. And by graduation it won't be long. His change greatly affected the people around him. His friends who already liked his existence began to persuade him to continue his education in the city with them. Especially Ricky, he's so scared of losing the girl. Besides he's been used to spoiling her he's also only been close to one girl for the past three years. Try out they have started to live, the end of school exams they will go through. But those times actually felt hard for Ricky because for him the time to be with the girl was getting less and less. And that makes his attitude a little different on Habibah . And the girl realized there was a difference in Ricky's attitude towards her. What is usually spoiled has not been done, which usually embraces it as if it has not been done either. And his friends saw the change.

Once Try Out is done and start preparing for the final exams of school. Ricky never bothered Habibah again. The girl actually felt lost to the cheerful and spoiled figure of Ricky. But he can't ask now because he should also be able to focus on the lessons to prepare for his final school exam. He hopes Ricky changes because he wants to focus on learning just like he does. Not because of anything else.

A week has passed, the exam is almost over but Ricky seemed to be getting away and avoiding Habibah. And his attitude that makes Habibah somewhat disturbed. Because Ricky was his closest friend at school.

The final school exam is over, just waiting for the results for about two weeks. On returning home from school Habibah accidentally waited for Ricky out of his class. As soon as Ricky arrived at the door of the girl's class, he immediately pulled Ricky's hand to follow her to the school cafeteria.

" You why the hell Rick? Was I wrong with you until you walked away and avoided me since Try Out? You know you're my only close friend at this school, if you're like this I feel like you're in a foreign place."Habibah stood right in front of Ricky and looked at him sharply. The one in the face just lowered his face.

" Come Rick.. When are you going to behave like this to me? Are you going to stay like this until I get back to the village?" continued Habibah. After saying that suddenly Ricky stood up and hugged the girl before him. How surprised the girl was with Ricky's unusual demeanor.

"Rick..Rick's.." Habibah was speechless, her body suddenly stiff . Ricky's embrace was tight enough that the girl had a bit of trouble breathing.

" Ricky.please let me go" the girl asked quietly. Ricky seemed to be aware of a situation that should not exist. As quickly as possible Ricky released his embrace and sat back down while cupping his hands to his face.

" Yes Rick, I won't force you to talk again. If you don't want to talk. But when I'm here soon, I hope you come back the way you were. I want to see the old you, I love all your fad and all your silly attitude. I hope before I go home I can see the old you." Habibah said after winning his heart from the shock of Ricky's actions earlier. When Habibah turned around and began to move his legs, Ricky suddenly pulled his hand.

" Can't you stay here any longer? Can you not go back to your village?" ricky asked in an almost inaudible voice.

" There's no reason for me to stay here, Rick, I have to go home. But I can't know about the future, who knows someday I'll be able to come back here for something I'll tell you. But now I'm still here so can you not act like this again?" Habibah.

" Can't I be a reason for you to stay here? " ask Ricky while looking at Habibah's face.

" Why should it be because of you?" habibah did not understand Ricky's words.

" i.. I like you Nur.. I like you a lot.. Couldn't it be for that reason for you to stay?" finally said the words that he had been keeping in his heart. Habibah was stunned to hear the confession of his good friend. He didn't know what to say to the man in front of him. Because all this time he only thought of him as a friend.

" Ricky.. I know you are my best friend.. From you I learned a lot to be a more normal and understanding person. From you I learned to smile and laugh. From you I learned to be a more open person. But for what you said, in my heart you are my best friend. Maybe I'm not the best for you in that. I can only be a friend to you." His heart felt bad to tell Ricky that, but it was better than him to cover it up and give Ricky empty hope. I'm sorry Rick, my heart has long been filled by others. You can only be my best friend and I can't be more than that. He murmured in his heart. But on the other hand, Ricky's heart felt torn to shreds hearing Habibah's words. He really didn't want to hear all that, all he wanted to hear was if the girl would stay for him. Although he himself did not know because of what the girl should want to stay, because in reality he was nothing to Habibah other than friends.
