The Journey of Eternity

The Journey of Eternity
The Historical Book II

Amidst the light talk, Arlo's countenance changed instantly as the king said something to him. Shocked mixed with feelings of annoyance filled Arlo's mind at that time, he suddenly stared intently at his interlocutor.

“So you mean I should just give up! Moreover by letting that great power in the grasp of monsters like him, are you not thinking about what will happen to the world!” Arlo appeared to enter in the peak of his anger and stood in front of the chair while without a single look.

The three others around him looked surprised and looked back at him, until finally the queen who answered his sentence.

“We never meant it that way, Arlo. Core cores cannot be used completely until they are completely assembled. To date, Prince Daniel is still able to collect three cores. In this way, we can remove the presence of the last core so that it cannot find it. Moreover, without having to sacrifice many lives in this war and handing the child over to him is the best option.” Obviously the queen is as calm as possible.

“You think I'll agree to it! I will kill Daniel one more time and one last time. There won't be any contracts that will be cut off from me, keep that in mind.” Arlo was about to turn around and leave, but his steps were stopped by the queen's sentence to him.

“Arlo, are you sure of your decision? If people find out, they will blame you for the chaos and even the death that will occur. Do you dare win it?”

“Wherever I am, people always think badly of me. For this time, let them see what they really expect from my infamy.” Close Arlo and get out of there by slamming the exit.

“What kind of mother would think badly of her son on her own. It's just, Arlo. Since I've seen everything that will happen after this, I'm just trying to warn you, Young man.” murmured the queen in his mind.

...(----------------)...

Inside the not-so-large room, Arlo stood beside the window while gazing out. Solar light emerging from the eastern end seemed to begin to shine on the forest trees surrounding the entire house he lived in. Not long after, someone suddenly knocked on the entrance from outside while calling out his name.

“Excuse me, sorry Mr. Arlo. What today you are not out?” a very familiar blonde man.

“No, Leo. Can you go to the city, Leo? I want something to eat tonight,”

“Of course, Sir. I'm sorry.” Leo turned and left her in the room.

"Wait on! One more message. After this I'll go somewhere, so take care of this Valay and don't go anywhere. It's an order."

"As you wish, Sir." Leo looked down and stepped out of the room.

Arlo did not take his eyes off the door where Leo had gone. With a sigh, he climbed up the window and jumped out of the house, going to dart somewhere.

“I'm sorry, Young Man. All will end in this war.”

Arlo darted between the trees in the forest and quickly headed to one place.

In silence, the night before the day after the failed negotiations. The king came with a knight with him and took Arlo away to the castle to discuss the assault when the demons outside the territory came and made a raid.

Because Arlo refused to give up Leo directly, he was forced to lead the war that will be done right now. He leaves the residence without any knowledge from Leo.

There he was in a promised place and dozens of rows of knights under the king's leadership on the front line and facing an empty forest. The man loudly shouted at his troops before the moment a portal was about to open. From his ranks, Arlo leads as a representative of his father.

The portal connecting between regions suddenly opened by itself. A group of foreign troops appeared so quickly and charged at them all. Without knowing what was happening, all of a sudden had already unsheathed and killed each other.

In the rear row, arrows were launched and hit many enemy troops who continued to arrive. Under Arlo's command, a general faced and charged forward his troops directly to the front line. Until finally he met the new enemy leaders who came with some people who followed behind him.

Arlo himself tried his hardest to wait for the right time until the enemy was cornered by resisting the attack that appeared and protecting many soldiers and knights with his sickle. But the enemy troops felt like endless coming and forced him to retreat.

On the side of the leader of the king Ordil, he accidentally met the most eagerly awaited figure of his presence. A man walked up to her, passing through the armaments that clashed against each other with his trademark smile.

“Yo! King, hand the fire cores to me. Then I will pull back the entire Western army as I promised.” He stared at the king from a distance.

“So you're Daniel. Of course I won't hand it over, you Young! just get everything out you got!” the king from a distance.

He looked at the man standing in front of him and invited him to a duel. Without blabbering anything, the king immediately lunged towards him with the sword in his hand.

“Listen Your Majesty, this war will only be until the core of the fire is in my hands. So until then comes, let's enjoy this fight.”

The spear slashed straight at the man with a set of armor with a fiery red sword like a burning fire. The two overlapped and left a crashing mark that slammed deep in the air. The soldiers and the knight troops were slightly affected due to the violent impact that brushed off the air around them.

“Oh, you're good too, Young man,” chirps the king with a faint smile on his lips.

“Are you underestimating me, Your Majesty?”

They pushed each other backwards and made a distance between each other. With this, Daniel makes use of his medium-range weapon and throws one of the spearmen as a test run, assuming it. But of course it was like a toy for the king, he cut the spear trying to cut it in half. But of course his attempt failed considering it was not the spear he used to play on other battlefields.

“Cih! An irritating child, right!”

He fell on the ground and stared intently at his already darting opponent figure with two large sword blades in both hands. He struck the king's sword until he bounced away on the ground. And Daniel's sword fell on his side, lying down.

With a steady step, Daniel approached and took out another sword blade in his right hand and pointed it right in front of his opponent's neck.

“Wake up, the game can't end now, right?” Daniel pulled back his blade and prepared for the next round.

“You really-banar enjoyed this old man, huh?” the king dragged his sword again and darted fiercely towards it.

Just as the two were about to hit each other, Daniel was suddenly struck by something from the front directly until he crashed very far from where he was originally. The figure of a person walking closer by dragging a cable that extends to where Daniel is.

“Why are you still alive, Daniel.” Say that figure.

“You? Prince Arlo, right? In the past I did not recognize you, Prince.” said Daniel in a condescending tone.

“King, lead the team. I'll take over here, your sword won't break his nails.” Said Arlo without turning away.

“Cih! Alright.” With a somewhat irritated feeling, the king went to lead his army and Arlo died with his fury.

Without any further ado, he darted away with the wires wrapped around his body and followed the red scythe that stuck beside Daniel. Daniel was happy to see what his new opponent would do. The same two sword blades began to creep out from both of his arms before Arlo hit him.

The wind again pummeled fiercely in the air as the two were already piercing each other. Arlo's annoyed look was inversely proportional to the smile put on by Daniel. Slowly a dark aura began to propagate all over Arlo's crescent and began to crack Daniel's two lights.

The sword broke into pieces while its owner crashed through the air and fell down violently. Arlo walked over by dragging his scythe along the wires that were still wrapped around his body by putting on a face that was so upset.

“Is this the only game you want to play with me, Daniel?!” snapped Arlo in front of Daniel who was lying beside him.

“Hoh? Of course not, Prince. To the Honorable Prince Arlo, such a game will not be exciting for me,”

“What do you mean!”

“Nothing. It's just, maybe Vion has finished his task and took away the boy.” said Daniel by putting on a face full of confidence.

Arlo gasped after hearing Daniel's words. The gentle wind brushed off Daniel's dense hair and erased the figure of the man standing in front of him. The same thin smile was scratched on the man's lips while lifting his body up.
