Trail 13 - Shadow of Fire.

Arlo and Uncle Eri were in the shop of the merchant who hired Arlo. But there is a problem that bothers them and of course Arlo is very sensitive. A bright light shone from the head of a bull that was always on display in the shop and was lowered by the two of them.

“What light is this.?”

“Did you say something Arlo?” asked Uncle Eri put on a suspicious face, as he put the stick back in place.

“Not” Arlo's face appears to be hiding something.

A moment after that, suddenly a blue colored light shone brightly from within the bull's head. Something like a transparent jewel was inside the bull's head and made Arlo curious. The light is getting brighter and dazzling for both of them, but Arlo still forces to take a closer look.

Arlo tries to take it by splitting the bull's head without caring what will happen. He picked up a knife nearby and began to bring the knife closer.

However, when the knife hits the surface of the head. The knife went straight through like it went into water. Without thinking long Arlo just took the jewel with his bare hands. Within Arlo's grasp, his glare began to diminish and turned into a dark aura that enveloped the surroundings.

“Arlo, what are you doing?” uncle Eri approached increasingly confused.

“Ti.. it's okay just..” Arlo was at a loss to answer what because only he could see the reality.

Then the jewel came out of Arlo's grasp and floated in front of the two men. The jewel exploded into a black shadow that stuck to the wall near the small shop and filled all the rooms. After a moment of repeated fading, the shadow finally formed a woman floating in the air in black and blue eyes.

“Thank you for freeing me from those shackles sir. I will be free forever. And at least before I leave, as my thank you what you want” the voice came from the shadows near Arlo.

“Who are you?” ask Arlo, suspicious.

“Hei Arlo from where the shadow came” uncle Eri asked.

“while Uncle, I'll explain after this. So who are you, and why are you in there?”

“I'm Liurac, I'm a noble daughter who once triumphed about 200 years ago. I was killed by a noble who wanted to marry me by force. But because I refused, I was forcibly taken by him to the cow shed and killed me sadistically there.

No one has found my body for more than 2 years. My soul was there feeling full of hatred and also lonely. Until one day, a farmer deliberately kicked his cow out of annoyance and I protected him.

My soul fused with him and to this day, I am still with him. I was sold everywhere because of a lot of trust with my magic”

“Magic is a wonder of the world and magic is also what leads a soul like myself to go somewhere. I've seen it, so you can trust me completely”

“Alright this Arlo is getting confusing already!, so what exactly happened?” uncle Eri was impatient.

Arlo explains everything to Uncle Eri and the shadow is getting faded and will disappear. The light from the shadow's eyes was getting brighter and was about to shoot into the air.

“Listen sir, my strength to stay here can't be much longer, so tell me what you want to ask for in my gratitude?”

“Because you said about magic. Then give me some of your magic knowledge!. I've lived long enough, but I've never seen what magic” is

“Alright, may you be satisfied and unapologetic” suddenly appears a white light from within the shadow and drifts towards Arlo's head and seeps into it. It also looks like there is a light that illuminates both Arlo's blue hands. The blue light grew brighter and exploded strongly and made Arlo faint instantly.

Uncle Eri looked very confused and could not think clearly. In addition to this, Arlo suddenly lay weakly before him for no reason. Finally he took Arlo out and went somewhere. Uncle Eri immediately took him to his inn for treatment.

He called Mr. Harto and asked him to call a doctor or something.Atasan Arlo also came there because he was worried. He feels Arlo's accident is his fault, even though Eri's uncle has explained everything he knows. Arlo is only treated by a doctor who can treat minor internal injuries, although fainting cannot be called a wound. Patiently they both wait for the deacnosis from the doctor who is treating Arlo.

“His body was only surprised by a wave that had never been felt. Then his body became weak. Maybe later tonight or tomorrow he will realize” said the doctor, while lifting the compress and replacing it with a new one. Suddenly a girl in a hurry with a face that was so anxious and stood beside Mr. Harto. The girl is like her own child.

The doctor resigned and asked to give his patient enough to eat so that he quickly recovered, besides he also asked to call him again when he was fully aware.

In the morning, everyone gathers to accompany Arlo who has not been aware of his stupor. His body seemed to be getting weaker even though he had actually only fainted. Everyone is worried about people who will outlive them. Especially with Eri.

Eri who since yesterday only cried can not control himself and was angered by his father. That morning, the doctor who yesterday was called again by uncle Eri, to check Arlo's condition because he was so worried.

“Then how do doc, is there any development from yesterday?” ask mr. Harto.

“I'm not sure, but soon he'll realize. And remember, once he wakes up, immediately tell him to eat. Because his eating needs are very high for now, therefore he looks limp” while saying, the doctor stood up and cleaned up his goods and then said goodbye for the second time.

They all nodded in understanding and invited the doctor to retreat, while Eri Maaih sat beside Arlo lying in hope.
