The Journey of Eternity

The Journey of Eternity
Trace 53 - The Tree of Eternity.

A beautiful woman with her long hair down, was sitting in her room. Near the window with a piece of paper floating right next to it sat down. A small flame floated right at the line of the first draft, then slowly moved and left words on it. Long words up to a full piece of cardboard. Until suddenly the ground shook violently, surprising the woman who was sitting pensively.

He lifted his face and saw something outside the window. The loud cries of frightened people were everywhere, adorning the steps of the calamity. From a distance, the roots of the enormous trees moved very quickly towards the settlement where he lived.

In the blink of an eye, there was only a dense forest filled with darkness as far as the eye could see. Up to the same piece of paper, hovering out of the forest in a wind blow, with a word in it.

“Please... hurry home, Prince Verles.”.

...(----------------)...

With the light from the Fire Core hovering in front of the two of them, Arlo and Eri were finally able to browse through the forest better than before. Can not be trusted, Arlo himself has forgotten the core and of course the previous incident to make Eri look very upset.

“Please Miss. I apologize... Miss?” said Arlo clapping his hands in front of his chest, pleading to Eri who was walking next to him with an annoyed face.

“Yes-yes, stop doing such silly things! see the way,” said Eri while still turning his face.

Walking in tranquility for a moment, his Flame Core suddenly dimmed and re-entered Arlo's body. Sotak Arlo was very surprised, this was the first time he saw such a hot core dim, even daring to go back to his body without orders.

A moment later, the same little light, which had previously been thought to be a firefly, appeared before the two of them. The yellow light this time floated in front of them as if it was about to show something.

“What is it? Arlo...” whispered Eri, curious.

“Entahlah... I also first saw it.” Arlo's soft voice, did not turn his face away from the light.

Suddenly the light moved closer to Arlo and stuck to his face. Making the two people flinch, especially Arlo who experienced it firsthand. I don't know why, but he said the light felt so cold, icy cold. Until at last the light rose from Arlo's face and floated away.

Arlo immediately ran after the light by following Eri who pulled Arlo's robe behind. Until the two of them stopped at a place, at the end of those dense forests.

“I-this...” The surprised Arlo, to the point of trembling saw something ahead, not far from him.

“What is this true..?”

A very large tree, tightly wrapped between the trees and very thick roots. Standing firmly behind the cliff that connects this island of life with the tree on the opposite cliff.

“I-this, right.. Tree of Eternity!” arlo said with his body still trembling.

“But, in... where is the fruit? None of which grew...” And then, run towards the tree.

The surprised Eri immediately ran following behind him. While Arlo just continued to run without caring about anything else, enter the demons that lined up neatly in front of him. Waking up from a long slumber, prepare to protect the tree from Arlo's hands.

“Surge! Don't block my path. Basic Corpse of Life!” snapped Arlo, slashing whatever was in the way with a flaming scythe.

“A-Arlo! Tu-wait...” Eri in the back did not catch up.

The demons that blocked the path, were slashed easily by Arlo without difficulty. While Eri at the back is enough to repotan because the demon is beyond his own ability. From anywhere, Arlo knew that they shouldn't be the ones guarding this tree. Because it wasn't this easy to deal with, and it certainly felt different.

Until all the demons that were blocking were slashed, Arlo stopped right under the tree and looked at it curiously, what was really going on here. This tree should not be here, because it should be embedded in the northern end of the human world.

“Arlo! Look at this!” eri shouted from a distance while resisting the attacks of the surrounding demons.

Suddenly Arlo turned his head and saw something pointed out by Eri. The roots connected to the dense trees twitched rapidly as light gushed out.

“Nona! Can you fight them yourself.?” sahut Arlo is ready.

“I'm fine!” eri from a distance.

In response, Arlo slashed his scythe at the roots and cut them off. Just like before, they were fawning and turning into undead monsters that were wriggling towards Arlo. Immediately Arlo took out the Fire Core from within his body and threw it towards all of them, burning away with nothing left behind in the enormous flames.

The moment Arlo realized something behind the blaze, someone stood somewhat hidden behind the tree of immortality and looked at him blankly. He immediately ran up to him, consciously from behind the fire the figure was no longer there and left a piece of paper lying under the tree.

“What is this? It's a strange paper... ‘marks for Prince..’ Hah!” Arlo was so shocked by the words written on the paper that his eyes opened wide.

In essence, in a piece of paper is written many words related to this island in the past. With a figure who was very familiar to him, written on that paper.

The words in it tell of the events before this island became a sad place like this. 90 years ago, precisely not long after Arlo obtained his immortality, the, the island is inhabited by many humans happily until a bad incident wipes it out in one night.

You read the last message yourself,

Marked for Prince, Prince,

This might be my last record, surely because I'm out of paper.

One week after you left, out of nowhere the demons came and ruined everything.

But the residents managed to survive and save the village, glad.

At that time there was also someone who also came to lend a helping hand, out of nowhere because he never said and then just left.

After two years you've been gone, something terrible happened again.

At that time, at the northern end was seen flaming and reacting to the surrounding.

I don't know what it is, but they keep moving, spreading, day after day.

It is a plain that has never been touched under the feet of the devil, a land that is filled only with peace and tranquility.

This place will never be touched, even until this world is over.

But it's all just your bullshit, right? As the truth says, we'll be swallowed.

They continue to grow rampant, making everything covered and erased to leave memories on this island. We're here getting depressed about his condition, just like you said before. This island of life would be swallowed up by its own power, until the world ended.

Please come home soon, Prince Verles.
