The Journey of Eternity

The Journey of Eternity
The Fire Maid - II

On the banks of the calmly flowing river, a man sitting on a large rock on the bank of the yanv river was unmistakable, it was Arlo. Beside him lay a little boy with a body full of wounds and blood. Without even a hint of a look, the man stared at the sun at the far west. Orange light in the afternoon before dusk, the beautiful reflection of the light on the river makes it not blink for a few moments.

Not long after, the boy began to open his eyes slowly. In a limp and daze, he turned to the figure of a familiar man wearing a black suit and sitting next to him. When he regained consciousness, he immediately raised his body to sit down and looked at the figure of the man. As a result he himself grimaced in pain and broke Arlo's daydream beside him.

“Arkh!” erang the boy while looking at Arlo with a confused face.

“Are you okay. I'm sorry, but I can't even heal your wounds,” Arlo said after he realized the child was awake.

Suddenly the child immediately lowered his head and scratched his head for no apparent reason with a faint smile on his lips.

“Can I know your name?” chirp Arlo turned his eyes, back to the sun.

“Aa-anu, my name is Leonardo, you can just call Leo.” Reply Leo.

Arlo was silent without giving the slightest response. In his mind since then was just the same thing, who and why this child was dealing with two people like them. But he did not dare to ask her in the slightest, until Leo suddenly peeked at the direction of his gaze right in front of his face.

“Ohk! Sorry, I just want to thank you.”

Her shirt after Arlo looked back at her face.

“Can I ask you something more? Why are you dealing with thugs like them?” Arlo looked seriously.

“Perman? Oh, you mean the two of them? well it's a common thing to happen.”

“What do you mean it happens? You're like you're gonna die anytime! And it's common?” exclaimed Arlo who was surprised with an annoyed tone.

"Actually I just want to die." muttered the boy without Arlo hearing.

Leo looked away and sat down next to Arlo. His previously smiling face turned serious by saying a few things.

“There are some things I can't tell you, sorry.” The boy smiled back at Arlo.

“What makh-“ sentence Arlo cut off by something that happened to Leo.

A shocked look was evident on Arlo's face just as all the bloody wounds and burns on the boy's body disappeared instantly leaving only dry blood on his skin. With the same smile, Leo got up from his seat and approached the stream. It began to wash its face and body partially covered in dried blood.

“Because you said, “I can't heal wounds,” You brought me here to clean myself, right?” again and again the boy hid something from behind his smile.

“I think so. This place is also very beautiful, although in fact I have never been here.” Sahut Arlo stood up from his seat.

Silently, Arlo began to jump down from a large rock where he sat and left. Then he turned around and said a word to the boy.

“I don't know who you really are. But a kid like you shouldn't be covered in blood like that. Bye, goodbye,” said Arlo, then he waved his hand and walked back into the forest.

Simultaneously, the solar light no longer shone on the world, and the moon slowly began to replace it with its dim light. The darkness of the forest began to create a gripping atmosphere, whenever wild animals could come and attack from behind the shadows.

...(----------------)...

In the darkness of the night, a walking little boy was limped with blood-filled wounds on his body. His ungodly breath was heard clearly among the dense trees that were hoarding around him. Slowly he walked, his footsteps slowly began to stagger there and there. His gaze began to blur, falling on the ground with breathless breathing.

“Wire! I'm out of energy. This way I don't think I can do any more healing. Maybe I should have heard Mr. Man's words earlier. W-now what is it, what is it doing? Will I survive again because of..?” the boy fell asleep on the dark grass of the forest.

The time that passes so quickly is represented by the arrival of the sun from the eastern end. Highlights of its very bright light begin to disturb the sleep of the people inhabiting this world, including the child himself. He woke up from his sleep, opened his eyes slowly and glanced at his bed.

“Again? I thought I was going to die, again.” The boy muttered with a heavy tone.

A huge fire lit up and struck back where the sword was until it burned out. The figure of the man smiled faintly from behind the burnt ash remains, with a white robe and hood covering his entire hair. Darted along with the two large weapons in his hands, right smashing into the ground where the boy had previously stood.

“Hai, do you still remember me?” touch the figure of the man.

“Cih!” the boy stared with an annoyed face.

Grasping firmly his fist, a huge fireball floated towards the man.

“Hei-hei, why are you in such a hurry. It's your last day free, right? We enjoy it until you lose your whole life.” Said the man momentarily brushed off his fireball so easily.

As his gaze diverted, the boy took the opportunity to escape. The boy was already lost from sight. With the same smile, the man guessed the direction the child was going.

“Hmm? You want to play hide and seek?” the man muttered for a moment before he vanished from behind the shadow of the forest.

The place where the boy escaped, he arrived at the dark part of the forest with a light that was just ramang-ramang. She was shocked by the small glimmer of light that suddenly appeared right in front of her face. The light was burning red with it constantly hovering in the air.

“What is this?” his astonished murmur.

Slowly, the light began to move to something place. His astonished gaze, involuntarily following where the light was going. He arrived at a cave mouth decorated with plants that emit light, growing on the edge of the cave mouth.

“This, what place?”

Curious, he stepped into the dark cave. Surprised, the dark cave had apparently kept so many of the same glowing plants at each end of the cave. He walked around the cave without taking his eyes off the plants. This cave is really beautiful, he thought.

His steps were awakened because of something that was tripping his legs, a shiny blue jewel embedded in the ground. Not far from it, the look on the child's face changed which was originally astonished to suddenly cringe. A pile of bones of the demons leaned against the edges of the cave walls leaving behind the remains of battlements and fragile weaponry that stuck in their bodies.

From the end of the cave to the point where the bodies are located, all just filled with the same gem with different colors. As his gaze began to divert back, suddenly the ceiling of the cave shook very strongly. The rocks began to drift apart and eventually the cave collapsed. The same figure of a man, standing from behind the dust scattered. Smiled faintly towards the boy with two sword blades in his hand.

“Do you enjoy this game? Yeah, but I think it's gonna have to end soon. Because I still have other business too!”

The man darted by unsheathing the two sword blades in his hand. Just as they were facing each other, the man was about to cut off one of his hands. However, the blaze had already preceded and forced the man to keep a distance from each other, before the blaze set itself on fire.

The boy was once again about to escape, but his steps were stopped by the same two male figures, whom he had met in the forest earlier. Stand right in front of him and get ready by pointing his gun.

“Two of you, do it right!” the man snapped at the two other men.

Running around the child, three daggers are thrown at each designated end and create a blue line of light that connects to each other. Just before the light grew brighter and took him away, he broke a jewel and covered it with a burning fire.

In one swipe, the three points of light vanished by separating the great flames at the same point.

The flames grew so big that they disturbed the sight of the three of them. A good chance to escape, the boy ran out through the mouth of the cave while holding the jewel in his hand.

“Cih! God fucking. Hurry along! Pursue him, lest we lose track of him again. Mr. Daniel will be very upset.” The man exclaimed at his two subordinates.

“Good!”

With an annoyed face, the three men tried as quickly as possible to chase out of the cave. But in vain, the child had already run far from where they were without leaving any trace. While the mouth of the cave has been covered by a large fire.

“Cih! Damnit!”
