Flying using a saddle on the back of Caladrius apparently made the cold air above the clouds hit Laudi's body without protection. Like his friends, Laudi shivered in the cold because no warm feathers of Caladrius covered them. Thinking about the cold made Laudi realize that their destination was high mountains covered in snow.
Without a second thought, Laudi then re-opened his blue portal and took out six warm orange mountain jackets. The girl handed out the thick jacket to her friends, hoping that no one would catch the flu due to the extreme weather.
After traveling for some time and fighting with the biting cold air, they finally entered the mainland of the island of Papua in the east. Throughout Laudi's monitoring of Kaladrius's back, the island appeared to have suffered the least damage than any other place he had been to. Residential settlements and forests have not changed much, not even a single adult Corux is rampant.
The oddity increased unnaturally when they began to cross the mountainous region headed by Laudi's entourage. Jayawijaya with its snow-covered peaks greeted them down there. The snow-white expanse is now tainted with black dots that Laudi is very familiar with. There were even some figures of Adult Corux who had been scattered dead.
The closer Caladrius was to the mountains, the clearer was Laudi's vision. Apparently the black dots were the bodies of the Molden who had been scattered. Some of them are still alive, but they are fighting each other. On top of the Molden-Molden's head was a kind of small portal of dense black electricity. Without much thought, Laudi was able to jump to conclusions about the unusual events down there.
"The whisperer was skilled using his strength," commented Leo who also saw the chaos on the top of Jayawijaya mountain. Hundreds maybe even thousands of Molden gathered in that place to kill each other. Only one person could do such a thing, and he was Tranqiel.
"Your estimate is correct, Di. I think it must be Tranqiel's job," said Dipa overseeing the bloody battle.
"It is fitting that the cities we passed were still intact. Tranqiel brought all those creatures here to kill each other." Kara also commented.
"It is difficult to detect its presence with the dense energy of Molden and Corux" said Rendra, who tried to scan Tranqiel's location.
"No need, Ren. Tuh his son nangkring in sono," said Nilam while pointing at a giant Corux who stood silently watching the battle of his own herd.
Laudi also squinted his eyes in the direction pointed by Nilam. Right in the midst of the chaos, a mature Corux stood still motionless. On Corux's shoulder sat a dark-skinned man with both eyes jet-black. He sat with one hand raised in front of his chest and a black portal swirled strongly controlling the entire herd of Molden.
As Caladrius roared while flying around on top of the mountain peak, the man finally looked up. Suddenly a similar black portal appeared above the head of Laudi and all his other comrades. A man's voice was heard in Laudi's head.
"Wait a little while longer," the voice said echoed in the girl's mind.
"Tranqiel?" laudi muttered inquiring.
"Chelle, Qhael. You are complete as it turns out," replied the man still in the form of telepathy.
"Tranqiel's most powerful man," Leo chirped with admiration.
"The name is now Jo, he said," added Kara who also heard the same voice.
"In the valley. Near the river. There are not many Molden," Laudi ordered later.
Leo also complied. He then ordered Caladrius to land on a sloping spot near the river that flows through the mountains. The cold weather warmed. Laudi and his colleagues decided to wait for Jo to finish his business with the Molden on the top of the mountain there.
"Thank God he survived" Kara said in relief.
Laudi crouched down on the river bank to wash his face. The river's water feels fresh and makes it come back powered.
"How's nathan?" ask Laudi later.
"Sama Nilam and Rendra. Still sad. After we are all complete, just find a point to close the dimensional gate. I was just thinking about Nathan. The boy is very young, certainly will need a guardian to be able to continue his life now," replied Kara seemed full of sympathy.
Laudi. He also lost his family. Out there, the survivors must have suffered the same suffering. It takes a short time to restore human life after this chaos.
"Now focus is the same as our mission. Other things we thought about after that. Humans are not that weak, though. Believe me, we will all rise. This civilization can continue and will be stronger after this incident," Leo said as if he could read Laudi's mind.
The girl let out a long sigh, hoping that things could improve soon after the dimensional portal closed. The damage done was quite great and the whole world had to start everything from scratch again. Even so, for some reason there is a belief in Laudi's heart that hope will always be there.
Finally, after waiting for some time, the long-awaited person came. Jo appeared accompanied by a rumbling sound that shook the ground. Small rocks and fine dust rolled off the mountain cliffs. Shortly after, a giant Corux figure is seen walking down from the top of the mountain, with Jo sitting cross-legged on his shoulder.
Laudi and the others were immediately on alert, worried that the Corux might suddenly attack them. But Jo seems to have mastered the mind of the Corux. The man jumped down as soon as he reached the valley. He then stood facing his Corux mount while lifting his portal and spoke in Drakonian language which is vaguely still remembered by Laudi.
"☌⍜ ⏃⋏⎅ ☍⟟⌰⌰ ⊬⍜⎍⍀⌇⟒⌰," hiss Jo with a strange buzzing sound.
According to Laudi, Jo's words have more or less this meaning 'Go and destroy yourself'. The Corux then turned away leaving a rumbling sound that shook the ground. Shortly after, Jo returned to his normal form with eyes that were no longer jet black without white parts. The man looked calm and walked towards Laudi as well as his other entourage.
"For a long time no see, Commander Qael the Destroyer," said Jo with a faint smile.
"Laudi," muttered the girl a short nod.
Tranqiel now occupies the body of a man whose age ranges from late thirties. From his aura alone, Laudi could already sense the man's whispering ability. Even after a long time of not seeing Tranqiel use her power, Laudi still felt astonished. He was really lucky because such a person became his ally instead of an enemy. Nothing could stop Tranqiel's ability and therefore Laudi respected him.
