Grief Loss

The next morning Laudi woke up to the sound of the violent waves breaking the reef. He blinked several times and found Kara and Nilam sleeping on the ground, right next to Laudi. Dipa and Leo were also sleeping across the fire. Only Rendra was not seen in the area.

Laudi wriggled slowly and then rose to his feet to explore the small island. He also had to find a place to urinate. Luckily there was a narrow public toilet near the bridge. At least Laudi can complete his personal needs comfortably and does not need to hide behind the itchy bushes.

When he reached the beach, Talia saw Rendra standing towards the open sea. The sun has not yet fully risen. The morning atmosphere is still a little dark. Therefore, the figure of Rendra standing on the beach looks like a silhouette. Laudi also abandoned his intention to go to the toilet. The girl approached Rendra who had been awake since early in the morning.

"Aren't you sleeping?" laudi asked as soon as he reached the distance of the young man. The sound of the waves is still simple. Even so, his voice sounded quite clear.

Rendra pointed west. "There. Across the sea. Not far from here. Buvi is awake. There's an adult Corux nearby. But they are not fighting. Buvi is still holding on," said the young man, looking bright.

"Baude? The freezer portal?" ask Laudi to make sure.

Rendra mangangguk's. "Maybe he won't be able to last long either" he continued in a grim tone.

"Let me wake up another one. We leave after breakfast" suggested Laudi then turned away.

After finishing with his toilet affairs, Laudi immediately woke up his other comrades. They might still need a break. But things don't give them much time. After cleaning up and having a makeshift breakfast with the rest of the burnt meat last night, the five men returned to fly by riding on Caladrius. Their next destination was Tanjung Pinang, a place appointed by Rendra in his vision.

The high seas and islands are already passed by the Laudi troupe. In the distance, they finally saw a densely populated island in the Riau Islands. The city is located on Bintan Island, Riau Province.

Right in the town square, Laudi could see an adult Corux standing still in the winding of the portal with a white electric light. It was a freezing power belonging to Bavi, one of his comrades discovered by Rendra.

The figure of Bavi now occupies the body of a teenager around fifteen years old. With his old-fashioned Junior High uniform, the boy continued to extend his hand towards the giant meter-high. Laudi was really amazed by the ability of Bavi's body to use that great power in the body of a tall teenager. He wondered how long the boy had stayed in that position without resting.

Leo immediately ordered his large bird to fly low towards the boy. Not until Caladrius landed, suddenly Nilam had been screaming loudly while jumping down.

"Let me take care of that fucking Corux!" he sprang from the back of Caladrius without hesitation. They were still at a height of a hundred meters above the ground.

Even so, Nilam deftly changed his form into metal. The red electric portal engulfed his entire body until it turned into a shiny gray metal, complete with both hands that turned into a great sword.

Leo immediately landed Caladrius in a fairly large place. He and the whole company immediately jumped down to help Nilam. Without needing to be told, Leo immediately summoned his fire Salamander to immediately burn the remains of the Corux piece, in order to prevent the monster's body from regenerating. The Corux was quickly removed.

Laudi, Kara and Dipa immediately ran to see Bavi's condition. The teenager was immediately lackluster once Corux was finished. He fell to the ground helplessly.

"You came at last, too" the boy murmured weakly.

Dipa immediately worked hard to drain the energy to Bavi who had been exhausted in Kara's embrace.

"How long have you been freezing that Corux?" ask Dipa while using her golden portal.

"don't know. Two days, three days. The city is finished because of him. Everything ... there are no survivors," muttered Bavi pilu. Tears began to drip on both of his cheeks. Laudi suspected that Bavi had also lost his entire family.

Empathically, Laudi then clasped the boy's hand. "Thank you for holding on, Bavi" he said with sincerity.

The teenager smiled bitterly. "I'm almost blushing. What's more papa time with mom ... ." He has no power to continue his sentence. A small crackling began to sound from his body that was trembling with sadness.

Everyone in that place was also in mourning. Even if they have been awakened from the memory of their respective souls, but the suffering of losing the nearest person is still painful. Laudi already felt it himself. What Bavi is experiencing may be more painful. He witnessed for himself how his entire city was destroyed and slaughtered by the Corux attack.

"We tried to take shelter on the beach. All the military personnel are protecting us. But the Molden-Molden continues to come without end. People die one by one, until the Corux wakes up. All Molden disappeared, the people who were transformed into Molden also prey on the same parent Corux. The only thing I can do is survive. By ourselves. I can't even die because I have to finish this mission" the boy wailed uninterruptedly.

"If only I were stronger, I could have saved those people" Bavi continued in pain.

Laudi could feel the bitterness in every sobbing of the boy. Kara even cried. Nilam, who had changed in his human form, embraced the boy warmly. There was nothing they could do to revive the victims.

"What's your name now?" ask Laudi later.

"Nathan," said the boy on the sidelines sobs his tears.

"It's not all your fault, Nathan. You tried hard, and you survived. Your existence has become the hope for all remaining human beings. Thank you for being alive. Thank you for holding on," Holiday later.

A moment of sobbing broke to tear the silence of the morning. Even Nilam who was thick with steel also cried. Uncontrollable, the two eyes of Laudi who had earlier glazed also shed tears of pain.
