The Fifth Dimension's
Memory Portal

After everyone managed to overcome their grief, the group then began to circle the entire square. The bodies of the humans who were already intact were scattered in various places, mixed with the bodies of the green-blooded Molden. Laudi stared at the sliced scene with his heart sliced open. They could not have buried all the bodies that had been scattered.

The only thing Laudi can do for Nathan is find his family's body. They were apparently buried under the rubble of a building that was smashed to the ground. With the help of other colleagues, the bodies of Nathan's parents were removed and buried properly in one of the city centers. Their bodies were both intact despite being covered in bruises and bleeding everywhere.

Nathan wasn't trying to look strong at all. The child was stripping off at will for some time because of such a great sense of loss. Laudi and his other friends continued to be by Nathan's side, comforting him with their sympathetic presence. There was a sense of regret that permeated Laudi's heart.

If only they had come sooner, perhaps this poignant incident could have been prevented. But Laudi immediately threw away those regretful thoughts. Although everything is repeated, Laudi still not sure can save all his friends at the right time. They were all scattered in different places. Already so, Rendra also has limits on his abilities because the human body can not be a perfect container for their souls. Therefore, Laudi also realized that this regret was useless. They had to keep stepping forward and find the last member to be able to close the dimensional gate.

"If we've all gathered together, will it be the rest of Tranqiel?" murmured Nathan as he stood up from the navel of his parents. Her teenage body looks fragile. Even so, Laudi knew that Nathan held great power, both mentally and physically.

"I tried Tranqiel. But it's too far from my perimeter" Rendra replied.

"To what extent is the range of your power, Rendra?" ask Laudi later.

Rendra paused for a moment to recall his last reach while using the power of the portal. "I've scanned almost the whole country to the north I can reach Malaysia and a little bit of Vietnam. There was no sign of that person either. The only unscanned area is the eastern region. My furthest reach is only up to Ambon," the young man in black glasses explained.

"It means Papua, yes," Leo concluded.

"My feelings are there too. Although we are scattered, but certainly will not be too far," Dimpal later said.

"If we go straight there, then. Most of Corux is awake. Perhaps Tranqiel was also pressed there again." Nilam also said.

"Hopefully she is fine" Kara said expectantly.

Laudi thought for a moment, then found an answer. "Jayawijaya's. The snow mountains are in Papua, right? If I were Tranqiel, I'd be there for sure" the girl said with confidence.

It seemed that all of his other comrades immediately agreed. Since Maldek first, Tranqiel is a loner. It was not without reason why that person chose to step aside immediately after his strength rose. Among the eight of them, Tranqiel's ability was the strongest. Even Laudi, as the leader of the team, admitted it. But the impact of Tranqiel's strength forced him to seclude himself.

Tranqiel's ability was truly dangerous, even when compared to the other seven powers combined. Tranqiel has a portal of whisperers, the ability to control the minds of whatever beings are around him. No matter how powerful a person might be, Tranqiel could easily master his thoughts and get the person to follow his wishes.

But behind great power lies an equally grave risk. Instead of having mind control abilities, Tranqiel must always struggle to hear the commotion from the thoughts of those around him. The voice in the heads of those people could be heard by Tranqiel as clearly as normal speech. He could hear people complaining, cursing even the wild lust that was scattered in the minds of others. Therefore, Tranqiel usually chooses to stay away from places that are too crowded. The noise of that thought could weigh him down to almost madness.

Even the simple thoughts of animals and plants could be felt. The jungle was definitely not a comfortable place for Tranqiel either. That's why Laudi thought about the area that is minimal life.

After a simple lunch with the rest of the snacks from the destroyed supermarket, the group finally returned to leave. The increasing number of personnel makes the seat on the back of Caladrius increasingly narrow. Laudi finally pulled out a very useful object from his portal: a saddle for a giant animal.

Now on the back of the giant bird has been tied a large saddle that can be occupied up to ten people. Laudi no longer needed to hold tight on the slippery feathers of Kaladrius the giant white bird.

"Why didn't you leave yesterday? I just found out that there's a kayak ginian in your portal" Leo commented as they flew through the clouds.

"It's also newly created. I thought because of the shadow we should be cramped in the slippery fur of Kaladrius," said Laudi while resuscitating his back in the leather saddle covered with soft goose feathers.

"Your mortality is of great benefit. Like bring Doraemon pouch," said Kara whose ponytail hair fluttered backwards.

That's how the Laudi portal works. Its power can manifest whatever the owner thinks. Laudi could think of even the most trivial to the most complicated objects. Even so, like the conditions of his other comrades, his human body had a limit to opening the portal gate. If only his galactic body was like when he was in Maldek first, Laudi could easily remove the fighter jets auto pilot that he could control alone. That's why Laudi used to be the commander of the Space Force in the war against the Drakonians.

Laudi was previously part of a research team in Maldekian. But when a great war broke out, the girl was appointed as one of the Space Force Commanders who supervised the seven other colleagues. Gradually the memory finally began to appear in Laudi's head. Every time he met with one of his other colleagues, the memory of his mission at that time was increasingly clear.

He as Qhael leads an army to protect the coordinates of the North Latitude in Maldek. The seven men under him were Nax'il the Taming; Ehill the Hider; Zuhell the Healer; Vogad the Scanner; Irqiels the Metal Sword; and the last member to join, Tranqiel the Whisperer.

Together with the other four Space Force Commanders, Qhael protected Maldek with all his body and soul. Unfortunately the onslaught of the Drakonians was already too strong. Their civilization did not survive and the planet Maldek was crushed into fragments now known as the asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars.

Even so, just before the destruction of the planet, Ras Maldekian's orderly leader, Queen Igved, gave Laudi a Crystal of Power. The crystal was made at the expense of the life of the Queen who was none other than the older brother of Qhael at that time. By channeling all of its ether energy, Igved created Crystals that could protect the owner's soul. The crystal works like a memory portal that can be used to store the memory of one's soul, including their powers.

At that time, the queen knew that it was too late to save Maldek. Even so the Drakonian will not stop invading other planets. Therefore he made the Crystal for his sister in the hope that one day it will make Qhael can protect himself from similar events.

That's how the crystal finally managed to make the soul of Qhael who was in the body of a girl named Laudi can be raised. Before his death in Maldek, Qhael also broke the crystal into eight. All the Crystal shards he distributed to his teammates in Maldek while promising each other that wherever they would be reborn, the eight people would always be united by the power of Crystals.

"We can reverse the power of this memory portal to close the dimensional gate" Laudi said as he took out his flat stone, a crystal fragment from Igved.

His other colleagues also noticed. Leo finally took out his own stone. It's exactly the same as Laudi's. Black, smooth, flat as big as a hand grip and silvery distributed.

"It's too late for us to use the power of these crystals. The Drakonian attack wave was too big. In vain we close the dimensional gate using Memory Crystals. But now, we still have time. With the closing of the dimensional gate between Earth and the Draco Star Race, their attack could be stopped. It will take thousands of years to create the same portal. At least we can protect the Earth until this civilization is completely ready for another galactic invasion" Laudi said, clutching his own crystal.
