CHAPTER 29 "END of part.2"

Yuan was trying to protect Lin Zi from the attack while Lin Zi was still trying to support his own body. Xuan seemed to be trying to stand up but the enemy soldiers did not stop attacking. His tears trickled as he wanted to protect Lin Zi yet his body was unable to even stand up. He clasped his hair in his left hand.

I will protect you!!!

Instantly, his aura turned blackish-red. Her hair turned white and her eyes turned bright red. His pupils were like snake pupils ready to pounce. His nails became long and sharp and fangs appeared between his teeth.

"Jing Xuan.." muttered Lin Zi wide at Xuan's change.

Now Xuan had turned into a bloodthirsty demon. He grasped his sword with his right hand and slashed at anyone in front of him. He killed all who approached him indiscriminately. He lost his consciousness completely. Now he is out of control. More and more bodies are scattered. Blood where it is.

"Jing Xuan.." muttered Lin Zi trying to stand up.

"What are you gonna do? Don't come near him!" yuan said realizing Lin Zi was starting to step up.

"Jing Xuan.." call Lin Zi to try to get to Xuan who is still fighting.

"Zi'er stop! Don't approach it, it's dangerous!!"

Yuan tried to stop him but the sheer number of soldiers attacking him made him unable to dissuade Lin Zi from getting close to Xuan.

The Xuan Sword pierced through Lin Zi's stomach. Lin Zi's mouth was gaping feeling a great pain. His breath seemed to stop in his throat. His forehead frowned and a few drops of blood came out of his mouth.

"Zi'er !!!" yelled Yuan surprised to see Xuan stabbing Lin Zi.

Lin Zi's left hand held on with a firm grip on Xuan's arm and her right hand tried to touch the man's cheek before her.

"Jingh... Xuan... Lin's.. Zi.." said Lin Zi cut off because of her pain.

Xuan did not answer. It hasn't changed one bit. His eyes look very scary.

"I... Zi'er... Zi'er.mu"

Zi'er ... (xuan's inner voice).

Slowly his memories with Lin Zi entered his mind. One by one the happy memories, one by one the sadness, all vividly reflected in his memory. Slowly her hair turned black. His eyes are back to normal. His nails and fangs are back to normal. But the aura remains the same.

"Zi'er.." Xuan muttered trembling to see the girl he loved the most in a dying state.

Xuan's tears trickled. He was so scared.

"Right..I.." said Lin Zi disconnected.

His mouth was trying to breathe. His grip on Xuan's arm became as strong as if his pain had peaked. Lin Zi started to fall down and Xuan immediately caught her on his lap.

Lin Zi stared blankly at the face of Xuan who was looking down. Slowly his body became limp and his eyes began to shut.

"Ti.no... Zi'er..get up! Zi'er.." said Xuan tore through Lin Zi's limp body.

"Zi'er !!!!" yelled Xuan loudly while tightly hugging Lin Zi's body.

Instantly a wave of powerful force swept across everyone except Yuan. Yuan stood up to see the weeping Xuan sobbing lamenting Lin Zi's departure. Yuan's tears did not flow either. The sword he was holding fell down.

After a while, Xuan stopped crying. He whipped out the sword that was still stuck in Lin Zi's stomach and threw it. He lifted Lin Zi's body and took her away leaving the crying Yuan while staring at Xuan's departure.

"Can you forget your grudges and start all over again?" (the memory of Yuan when talking to Lin Zi)

If only I had tried to start it again.. Maybe I shouldn't lose you.. If I wasn't selfish to have you, I don't think this mess would have happened.

Yuan's mind was shrouded in delusion where they could live like brothers. Eating together, drinking together, joking together. Then Lin Zi came and smiled at them, just then they all greeted him warmly and smiled. Lin Zi sat down beside Xuan and joined in on a joke. Laugh together, be happy together. But the truth is that it's all just a fantasy.

Now Xuan was in front of a pile of earth. He placed a few sprigs of white chrysanthemum flowers on top of it and poured a glass of wine he held.

Time goes on and on. The customs and times are constantly changing but not with Xuan. The time seemed to have come to a halt when Lin Zi died back then. He lived alone, going here and there without a purpose. Just walk and keep going until he finds what he's looking for.

The atmosphere suddenly became an empty white expanse. Lin Zi was standing in the middle. He looked around, just white, nothing. A light dazzled him and he closed both his eyes. When the light disappeared, he opened his eyes again. He saw an unfamiliar atmosphere to him. The incident happened during his accident with his parents. He saw a man he knew standing on the side of the road. The man reached out his hand and instantly Lin Zi's body seemed to be protected until Lin Zi did not get any injuries in the accident that killed her parents. Then a bright light returned and he saw the incident when he felt frustrated because of the loss of his parents. The little girl attempted suicide by jumping off the top of the hospital building. But time seemed to stop and he arrived already below without any injuries. A white light re-emerged and he looked back on the events of 3rd grade Junior High, he saved Ming Yue from the collision of a speeding car. At that time Lin Zi's body should have been slammed because it was hit by a car. But strangely he was on the side of the road without the slightest scuff.

Lin Zi tried to get close to the man she saw in each of those events. The man turned his body and Lin Zi now saw him. The surrounding situation turned back into an empty white expanse. There was only Lin Zi and that man facing each other.

A familiar face to him. Both of his eyes looked at that face. He stretched out his hand to touch that face. But the man disappeared like dust flying into the sky.

You lived all this time just to protect me until your soul was crushed to ashes.. It turns out that the person I've always seen the shadow of his back is you Jing Xuan!

Lin Zi opened her two eyes looking at the sky. He blinked his eyes many times. Whites...

"Lin Zi, are you conscious? I'll call a doctor soon!" said a girl.

Lin Zi looked at the girl who had now opened the door and walked out. He looked around, this atmosphere..

Shortly after, the doctor came in and examined her. The doctor smiled followed by the girl beside him.

"Doctor, Lin Zi is fine, isn't it?" ask the girl.

"Just need a few days' rest and he's home" the doctor smiled and left the room.

"Thank God... Lin Zi I miss you so much" the girl said as she hugged Lin Zi's body which was still lying down.

"Ming Yue... What happened?" asked Lin Zi to make Ming Yue let go of her embrace.

"You don't remember? You were found passed out on the side of the road and people around you took you to the hospital"

"Fainted?" muttered Lin Zi while trying to sit down.

Ming Yue looked busy doing something on the desk. He opened the drawer and lit a match.

"Lin Zi. Happy birthday!" ming Yue said, tossing the cake with the candle that had lit.

A birthday?

His birthday was on April 4th and Lin Zi saw a candle that had the shape of a number 18 on his cake. That meant that since the incident back then, Lin Zi had already been unconscious for 7 days.

"Lin Zi's!" call Ming Yue to disperse Lin Zi's daydream.

"My hands are tired, hurry up and blow out the candles" said Ming Yue spoiledly.

Lin Zi blew the candle and Ming Yue placed the cake on the table beside Lin Zi's bed.

"Lin Zi, we have a transfer student at school! Heaa is very handsome once🤤🤤" Ming Yue said as he sat by Lin Zi's bed.

"Murid transfer? At the end of the semester?"

"Why indeed? We're still in 2nd grade High School anyway, right? I heard her dad got sick, so she switched schools and helped him with business"

Lin Zi nodded her head listening to Ming Yue's story.

"I heard her father is a conglomerate" Ming Yue added in a whisper.

"So why? You likey?" lin Zi teased her best friend.

"Of course I like it! His face was handsome, he was also rich.. But I heard he's a playboy.."

Na na na na na (mobile phone ringtone, exo-love shot song)

Ming Yue searched for her phone in the bag and immediately picked up the incoming phone.

"Hello?" ming Yue opened the conversation. He was silent while the person across the phone was talking.

"Alright I'll be home soon" Ming Yue said ending the conversation on the phone.

"Lin Zi. I'm sorry I have to go home immediately" said Ming Yue hurriedly packing her bag.

"Oh yeah, for the hospital fee, my dad already paid for it!" added Ming Yue who had opened the door.

Lin Zi was now back alone. His mind turned around remembering what he had experienced.

Is it just a dream? But why does it feel so real? If only fainted why up to 7 days? Could it be a parallel world? Or could it have been my life before?

The question kept on enveloping his mind. He took a deep breath and laid his body back.

"Gee!" shouted Lin Zi felt something stabbing into his stomach.

Something's stuck in there. Lin Zi put her hand in to find out what was stabbing her.

"I..ini" muttered Lin Zi looking at the thing that was now in his right hand.

Why is this hairpin on me? That's...not a dream!

Lin Zi walked in the school corridor. Although it is still at half 6 in the morning but the school looks crowded. He walked through each class looking around him. Nothing has changed. His life seems to have returned to normal.

Lin Zi hit someone in front of her, until she bounced 2 steps back. He rubbed his head that hit the chest of a man's field.

"See your way!" said the man with a sniff.

"I'm sorry, I'm not feeling it." said Lin Zi when she saw the man's face before her. A man wearing the same uniform as her. His face looks very handsome with a Korean boyband-style hair model.

"Jin Xuan!" call Lin Zi to the man before her.
