CHAPTER 14 "THE LAMP OF HOPE"
The night has passed. Time has shown around 9am. In front of the meeting hall, Xuan was facing the envoys from Wu Xian kingdom.
"Crown Prince, our business here is done, we will stay apart" said a woman representing the speech.
"Why is it so rushed? I still owe you 2 requests because last night I didn't eat with you." Xuan said.
"My first request has been fulfilled even though what I brought was not a spirit animal incarnation tiger but has also been granted. My second request, I'm the one who canceled it so I'll consider it forfeited. Then.. my third request..." Wu Liang was silent for a moment.
"I want the Crown Prince to escort me to the border, do you mind?" wu Liang continued later.

Xuan immediately prepared his horse and went to escort Wu Liang with some of his trusted bodyguards.
Meanwhile, Lin Zi had just woken up from her sleep. His head felt a little dizzy and he could not remember what happened last night. He only remembered until the moment when Yuan wiped him out leaving the lotus pond.
"Nao Yu.." call Lin Zi who did not see Nao Yu by his side.
Lin Zi came down from her bed looking for Nao Yu in every corner of her room but she did not find him.
Where is Nao Yu? Ahh my head is so dizzy, how wide what happened last night?
Lin Zi opened her closed pavilion door, the sunlight making her eyes glare.
"Miss.lady.truck." said a waiter running up to him.
"Nao Yu, where have you been?" lin Zi asked the girl he had been looking for since.
"I am from the palace grounds, it is not important... The Crown Prince left with Princess Wu Liang." said Nao Yu stammered with gasping breath.
"******** rancid!" muttered Lin Zi was annoyed that he had not seen Xuan since going home hunting and now Xuan had instead left with another woman.
Lin Zi couldn't do anything either, only being able to wait while enraged.
It was getting dark, but Xuan didn't come back. Lin Zi paced back and forth in her room waiting for Xuan's arrival fretfully.
"Miss! The Crown Prince has arrived!" nao Yu said loudly after seeing Xuan from a distance.
Lin Zi hurried off towards the Xuan residence. However Xuan's bodyguards forbade Lin Zi to enter on the grounds that the Crown Prince was extremely exhausted and did not want to be bothered. Lin Zi yelled out to Xuan but got no answer. Finally with a careless step he returned to his pavilion, this time he had to swallow the disappointment again.
The night was getting late, yet the lights in the Yue pavilion were still not extinguished. Lin Zi was still awake alone, while Nao Yu had been slumbering in the servant's special room.
Tok tok tok tok
Lin Zi heard the sound of the door being knocked, but who came in the middle of the night like this? He opened it with doubt.
"Aren't you Jing Xuan's bodyguard?" said Lin Zi recognized the guest who was now saluting her.
"Hamba was ordered by the Crown Prince to pick you up" Hao Yi said without further ado.
"Lit's the middle of the night?" asked Lin Zi a little doubtfully.
"Yes!"
They have also arrived. Lin Zi had seen a man waiting for her, Hao Yi had left her.
Lin Zi walked up to the man.
"Jing Xuan, what are you doing here in the middle of the night like this?" asked Lin Zi in wonder.
"I have a gift I want to give you." Xuan muttered as he pulled something out from his sleeve.
Lin Zi accepted Xuan's gift. He opened the thing.
"Lantern?" muttered Lin Zi after learning that Xuan's gift was a lantern.
"You once said you liked lanterns. When I left earlier, I saw it at the market so I bought it for you" Xuan explained.
"When you left? Right, I still haven't given you the calculation! Jing Xuan, have you dared to leave me and go with another woman?!" Lin Zi raised her sleeves while furiously angry about to beat up Xuan.
But he stopped when he saw many lanterns that were floating into the sky. Lin Zi was stunned to see him and his sleeves dropped by themselves.
"Jing Xuan... Have you prepared all this?" muttered Lin Zi who was stunned looking at the floating lantern.
Xuan picked up the lantern that Lin Zi had dropped from anger. He gave it to Lin Zi again, and Lin Zi just realized that there was a writing on the lantern.
Together until death and do not disappoint each other.
Lin Zi was deeply moved to read the writing. Previously he had never felt Xuan's warmth, and seeing Xuan behave as he was now had completely melted his heart. They lit the lantern and flew it into the sky.
"Zi'er.. Will you marry me?" xuan's words made Lin Zi look at him instantly.
"This time I promise to protect you. I won't let you get hurt again.."
Xuan's words were interrupted as Lin Zi immediately hugged him tightly.
"I want to" Lin Zi replied moved as she hugged Xuan tightly.
Xuan returned Lin Zi's embrace, but a moment later Xuan pushed Lin Zi's body out of his embrace.
"But before that, there are things I want to tell you." Xuan said later.
"Tell me, I'll listen." replied Lin Zi agreeing.
Jing Xuan looked back at her past. A past that no one knows. The past has always been kept secret. This time Xuan wanted to reveal it to Lin Zi because the past felt like a barrier wall when they were together.
