CHAPTER 10 "JOY OR ANGRY"
Lin Zi entered her room with tears still dripping. It was unexpected that he felt very sad because of Xuan's attitude. His sadness was mixed with the anger he was feeling. Nao Yu did not dare to say anything to Lin Zi. Lin Zi wiped away her tears when she realized that someone had entered her pavilion. Xuan's personal eunuch came to deliver the ethics book.
"Miss, I came to deliver and also watched the lady copy the book of ethics" said the eunuch as he held out a book with both hands.
Lin Zi turned around and looked at the book the eunuch had given her. He picked up the book and looked at the back page of the book.
"This 200-page book I have to copy 10 times?" lin Zi said in disbelief to see a book that did look thick but with a rather large writing size.
"Before you finish copying, the servant is commanded to watch over you. You should only exit the pavilion when you finish copying or with the Crown Prince's permission" the eunuch explained in a polite tone.
Lin Zi exhaled in annoyance and walked towards the 30 cm high table with a length of 1 meter and a width of 50 cm. He sat down with a thin pad and slammed the book on his desk.
"Based on a cruel angel of death! There is no heart! Don't know shame! No brain!" muttered Lin Zi channeled her anger with her chatter.
"Miss..." Nao Yu glanced at Lin Zi then glanced at the eunuch hinting at Lin Zi not to say carelessly since the eunuch was Xuan's personal eunuch.
The eunuch noticed Nao Yu's glance then bowed respectfully to Lin Zi before leaving and waiting outside the pavilion.
"Nao Yu... Can't you help me copy it?" pinta Lin Zi for his punishment to be finished immediately.
"I'm sorry, servant girl, I don't dare" Nao Yu said.
Nao Yu also woke up by helping grind the ink for Lin Zi to write.
Late at night, Lin Zi was seen sleeping on the table overlaying a copy of the paper and Nao Yu was asleep on the floor.
The sound of birdsong woke Lin Zi from her slumber.a paper stuck to her face. He took off the paper and kicked it at the table, causing Nao Yu to wake up in shock.
Nao Yu looked at the paper and was very surprised. The night they were awake and Lin Zi had only copied 2 pages.
"No. miss.." muttered Nao Yu to see Lin Zi's expression was angry.
"I don't want to write anymore!" lin Zi said as she stood up while holding onto her knees due to her tingling legs.
"Miss. if you don't finish it you won't be allowed out of the pavilion." Nao Yu said as he stood up.
"Yes yes I will copy it again later, I want to rest for a while" Lin Zi said then as she walked to her bed.
"Then I will prepare a bath and breakfast for you" Nao Yu told the girl sitting at the bedside.
Lin Zi took a bath to refresh her chaotic mind. After taking a bath, as usual Nao Yu helped her to give her hair and style her hair. After that Lin Zi walked towards his dining table.
"Miss, I heard the Crown Prince will accompany princess Wu Liang hunting for 2 more days" Nao Yu reported stopping Lin Zi's footsteps.
"Hunting together?" muttered Lin Zi while sitting on her dining table chair.
"really. I heard that the Crown Prince agreed to it too. Though all this time the Crown Prince has never gone with any woman except you"
Nao Yu's words made Lin Zi speechless. In his brain thought of a friendly scene as they went hunting together.
"Here you go, I don't want to eat anymore!" lin Zi said as she threw the chopsticks she just held.
"Miss.but.."
"Take everything away!" lin Zi ordered before walking towards her study table to continue her copy that was still far from finished.
But the more Lin Zi tried to focus on writing, the more the image of the friendly scene in the hunting area became clearer and messed with her mind.
2 Days had passed yet Lin Zi still had not finished copying. He even refused to eat and only stayed at the table for 2 days. The sun had just risen yet Lin Zi was still awake and had not slept all night. His eyes looked a bit black as it held back the drowsiness.
Xuan had received reports that Lin Zi had refused to eat and had been awake at his study table all night. He also shortened the morning meeting with the ministers and rushed to meet Lin Zi in his pavilion.
"Nao Yu.. My finger feels stiff.." murmured Lin Zi who was still holding her brush.
"Honor the Crown Prince" Nao Yu said as he watched Xuan enter the room.
"You stayed up all night, even refusing to eat just to finish 2 copies of this book?" said Xuan putting back a copy of Lin Zi on the table.
"Don't I punish you for copying 10 times?" said Xuan looking at Lin Zi face that looked somewhat pale.
"The good-natured and not arrogant Crown Prince..Can't you ease that sentence to 2 copies only? I've been trying so hard." said Lin Zi trying to seduce Xuan to ease her sentence.
"Didn't you call me the angel of death? Why did it suddenly become so courteous" attack the temptation-resistant Xuan.
"Oh, you don't have a heart! I know you're still mad at me that's why you're punishing me like this. Basic men have no stand! Like just yesterday said it would make me the only woman and tomorrow it would go out with another woman!"
"You jealous?" tanya Xuan stopped Lin Zi's chattering.
"Ce...jealous? Where possible" he said he was cut off because his laughter seemed to be made.
"I'm just angry that you're punishing me like this while you're good to go with women" explained Lin Zi then trying to cover up her feelings.
"Didn't you say you're so sorry to be by my side all this time.."
Those words made Lin Zi fall silent again. His eyes look glassy. He approached Xuan and wrapped his hands around Xuan's waist and placed his left cheek against the 185cm man's chest.
"Sorry.. But can you not go to the hunting party?" pinta Lin Zi as she raised her head to look at Xuan's facial expression.
"Can't" Xuan said releasing Lin Zi's embrace.
"In order to ease your punishment I was forced to accept the request of princess Wu Liang" Xuan said trying to give some understanding.
"Then I'll go hunting, okay?" pinta Lin Zi in order to keep an eye on Xuan and the woman.
"Can't!" ban Xuan firmly.
Xuan also slightly bent his body making his face parallel to Lin Zi's face. His right and left hands touched Lin Zi's cheeks and wiped away Lin Zi's dripping tears.
"Zi'er.. The forest is vast and there are many ferocious beasts, I'm afraid you're injured" Xuan explained.
"Reason!" lin Zi's hand brushed off Xuan's hand and turned her face away.
"I know you must want to be alone with that woman right.I know my nature now always makes you disturbed" accused Lin Zi.
"Then I will ask Yuan to protect you in the hunting area. Remember not to be far from the Yuan" Xuan said.
"really? Can I come with you?" said Lin Zi who was back in excitement.
"But there are conditions." Xuan said making Lin Zi again lose her spirit.
"You should eat now"
"Good!" said Lin Zi sparingly.
"Servant, prepare some food" Xuan orders Nao Yu.
They both ate together. Lin Zi was seen eating voraciously due to her already empty stomach for 2 days. Xuan smiled looking at Lin Zi's appetite that was so great.
