CHAPTER 15 "THE PAST"

After Xuan departed, Lin Zi walked back to his pavilion but her steps were stopped by a man blocking her path.

"Zi'er why do you look so sad?" said the man looking at Lin Zi's face that was still wet.

"Jing Yuan.." murmured Lin Zi immediately wiped the remaining tears on her face.

"Zi'er what happened?" yuan said worriedly.

"No, nothing. Uh Jing Yuan, how's it going?" asked Lin Zi to shift the subject.

"My wounds have dried up, they're almost healed"

"Thank God then"

"Zi'er can." said Yuan interrupted.

"e Jing Yuan, I want to go back to the room. bye bye" Lin Zi cut.

Lin Zi left Yuan who had not said anything.

1 Week had passed, Xuan was already close to arriving in his kingdom.

"Sirrible lady, madam!" nao Yu entered the room.

"Nao Yu, what's wrong?" asked the overcast Lin Zi.

"Prince Yuan fainted in the back of the palace!"

"This night? How come?" said Lin Zi in shock.

"Prince Yuan chased the intruder all the way to the back forest and got injured. Now he's passed out"

"Then I will help him immediately" said Lin Zi.

Lin Zi immediately ran while carrying a lantern-shaped lamp for lighting because the road is dark at night.

Meanwhile the newly arrived Xuan immediately searched for Lin Zi to his residence but Lin Zi's room had been empty. Xuan immediately went towards Yuan Ji's pavilion.

"Crown Prince, what's up here?" tanya Yuan looked at Xuan who was approaching her with a panicked face.

"Is Lin Zi here?" asked Xuan without further ado.

"He's not here, has something happened?"

"Your Majesty, just now when I went to the palace kitchen, I saw Miss Xiu walking towards the back of the palace" reported one of the maidservants who was serving a plate of fruits to Yuan.

Xuan and Yuan rushed out and ran looking for Lin Zi to the back area of the palace. To facilitate the search, Yuan looked to the left and Xuan would search to the right of the forest.

Meanwhile Lin Zi entered the forest deepening.

"Jin Yuan! Jing Yuan where are you? Did you hear me?" said Lin Zi loudly while looking around her.

A person in black clothes and veiled had lurked on top of a tree while carrying an arrow bow. Looking at Lin Zi who was not moving too much he immediately placed his arrow and pulled his bowstring directing it at Lin Zi. When he felt the shot was right, he immediately slid his arrow.
