The Destiny that Hasn't Ended
CHAPTER 23 "MISCARRIAGE"

"Your Majesty, should the servant call the palace physician?" tanya Ruyu looked at Lin Zi who had just vomited.

"no need. Isn't it common like this?" murmured Lin Zi held onto her stomach which was painful.

"Your Majesty, Prince Xiu is already waiting in front" said Xing Nan who had just entered.

"Let him in"

Xiu stepped foot into the Empress's residence.

"Ruyu, quickly prepare tea for Prince Xiu"

"No need" Xiu immediately stopped Ruyu who was about to leave.

"I only came to deliver the Empress' order. But.your face looks pale" said Xiu who had been observing since.

"A few days my digestion is not good. Isn't that natural in early pregnancy?"

"Then let me check it out"

Lin Zi extended her left hand and Xiu checked her pulse. But his face looked surprised and several times he felt Lin Zi's pulse.

"Jing Xiu, is something wrong?" asked Lin Zi to pay attention to Xiu.

"Jin Xiu!" call Lin Zi who got no answer.

"I can't feel your fetal pulse anymore. Your fetus. I guess it's dead.." Xiu muttered in shock to Lin Zi.

"No..maybe.." said Lin Zi in disbelief.

"You must be wrong! I never fell down. I eat nutritious food. I've been taking care of my womb all this time.Why......."

This was the hardest blow for him. She had not even had time to tell Jing Xuan about her pregnancy and now she had to lose it and endure it alone. Her tears started to drip.

"Leave me alone. And also about this I don't want anyone to know about it" Lin Zi said in a raucous voice.

"The Empress.." murmured Xiu worried about Lin Zi's condition.

"OUT !!!" shouted Lin Zi.

Now Lin Zi was in that large room alone. His legs were no longer able to support him until he fell on the floor. Her tears are getting louder and louder. Both of his hands tightly closed his mouth so that the sound of his crying could not be heard. He was crying so it happened. It screamed, groaned, bringing out all its sadness. He didn't even know why he had to go through this. He never did evil to anyone but every wound was like raining down on him. Clearly, he would never be willing.

Late at night, Ruyu ventured to enter the room while bringing her some food because since the incident earlier this afternoon, Lin Zi had not eaten anything. But the room was dark. Not a single candle was lit.

"His Majesty the Empress?" call Ruyu while looking at the darkness.

Ruyu placed her trays on the table and immediately lit the candles one by one.

The room was already bright and Ruyu could already see clearly. But he saw no one in the room. Ruyu immediately ran out but her steps came to a halt when she unknowingly hit someone at the door.

"Your Majesty the Emperor begs to forgive the servant, the servant unintentionally" Ruyu said immediately prostrated.

"Regulate"

Ruyu also stood up with her head lowered. But his panicked face could not be hidden.

"What's wrong?" ask Xuan.

"Pers... The Queen is not in His Majesty's house. When the servant entered the room it was very dark and when the servant lit the candle, the Empress was gone" Ruyu explained.

Xuan immediately ordered his servant to search for Lin Zi's whereabouts.

"What is the Empress doing here in the middle of the night?" said a man approaching Lin Zi who was standing on the lotus pond bridge.

"Jing Xuan.." murmured Lin Zi looked towards the voice.

Xuan walked over and grabbed Lin Zi from behind, closing his eyes feeling a sense of warmth.

"I'm looking for you where" muttered Xuan who still didn't let go of his embrace.

"I'm just looking for some fresh air. It was very crowded to be in the room all day" said Lin Zi in a somewhat raucous voice.

"Is that so? Should I add a lot of windows in your residence?" canda Xuan while laying her chin on Lin Zi's right shoulder.

Lin Zi smiled and let go of Xuan's embrace so that he could deal with the handsome man.

"should? I guess my pavilion will be full of windows." said Lin Zi smilingly replying to Xuan's joke.

"Right" Xuan said with a chuckle.

His laughter came to a halt when he saw Lin Zi fold both of his hands and rubbed his arms for a bit of warmth.

"I'll be back if anyone carries me" joked Lin Zi.

Xuan smiled as well. He turned his body and started to squat. Lin Zi was silent until Xuan stared at her. Slowly Lin Zi lowered her body and wrapped her hands around the masculine man's shoulders. Xuan stood up and held onto the two legs of Lin Zi on his hips.

"It looks like you're getting lighter. Does the food not match your taste?" asked Xuan as he started walking.

Lin Zi did not answer that question. His hands clenched even tighter to the man who was holding him. Every drop of his tears soaked Xuan's left shoulder. Although Lin Zi tried to cry silently, but Xuan wasn't a heartless man either. He remained silent the entire way to Nu Huang Pavilion.

After all, the current Lin Zi felt was only Xuan where he was leaning. Especially at a time like this, only Xuan gave him the strength to come back strong.

Since Lin Zi's marriage, Yuan had also never met her. Reportedly Yuan lived outside the palace in search of a quiet life. But occasionally he sneaked into the palace during the night, just to see Lin Zi who was fast asleep. At least that little thing could treat his longing.

Arriving at Lin Zi's room, Lin Zi had fallen asleep in Xuan's arms. Xuan lowered her slowly onto the bed and covered her. He looked at her for a moment before coming out.

"What happened to the Queen?" xuan asked a servant who had just walked up to him in the courtyard of the Nu Huang pavilion.

"This.." murmured Ruyu hesitantly telling the truth.

"What's wrong?" reset Xuan.

"The Empress forbade the servant to tell anyone. Please forgive His Majesty's servant"

"If you don't say it, I won't know how to help the Empress either"

"Actually the Empress was pregnant, but this afternoon when she was examined by Prince Xiu, she said her fetus was dead"

"Why not tell me?" suhut Xuan was surprised.

"The Queen ordered to keep it a secret. He said he wanted to give a surprise to His Majesty the Emperor" replied Ru Yu who was trembling in fear.

Xuan remained silent. She recalled when Lin Zi had wanted to say something a few times but it had not been until now that she had miscarried and harbored her own grief.

"How could she have miscarried?"

"Hamba doesn't know His Majesty either. The doctor who examined her pregnancy the other day was killed. And at the end of this the Empress had indigestion and abdominal pain. Sometimes the urine is also mixed with blood"

Xuan was silent again. In his brain he had thought of one suspect. However since Lin Zi did not say anything to him, he also tried not to extend it. He would still pura not know so as not to open Lin Zi's wound back. As a husband, he will comfort his wife.

The next morning the palace looked crowded who were discussing about the Qi Xi festival. Many men and women will celebrate the Qi Xi Festival which is valentine's day. Many girls pray for a faithful, kind and loving husband. Usually on the streets will be crowded, many traders who sell romantic knickknacks, there will also be events flying lanterns with couples.

"Your Majesty, are you going to go celebrate the Qi Xi festival with His Majesty the Emperor?" tease Ruyu on the girl who is arranging flowers in a vase.

"Don't joke... His Imperial Majesty can leave the palace if there is no important business" said Lin Zi who was still busy combining flowers to look beautiful.

"Who said you can't?" a male voice made Lin Zi immediately turn her head. Ruyu immediately saluted the arrival of the man.

"Honeymoon with my Empress, isn't that also an important matter?" added again.

"You always come here, like a ghost" said Lin Zi who continued arranging flowers.

Xuan smiled and embraced Lin Zi from behind.

"Then how will I haunt you for life?" rayu Xuan made Lin Zi blush in embarrassment because Ruyu was still there.

Lin Zi took off Xuan's embrace and turned to face him.

"Gombal.." said Lin Zi while chuckling with Xuan.

"So my Empress wants to go or not?"

"But.. can I leave the palace?" asked Lin Zi doubtfully.

"Can't we just go quiet?"

"All right"

The sun is almost setting. Xuan immediately finished his task and prepared a horse to ride with Lin Zi. Xuan had been waiting by wearing an ordinary hanfu without his emperor robe. Shortly after, Lin Zi arrived. They also rushed away.

Meanwhile, in Wangmu's pavilion, the Queen Mother was talking to Liu Ying.

"Didn't I tell you to get the Emperor's affection right away? Why did the Emperor even come out with that woman?!" the Queen Mother was angry.

"To have the heart of the Emperor is not easy. And also since the concubines entered the palace, the Emperor has never called or visited us"

"About that I'll take care of it. You better try this time" the Queen Mother warned.

The market atmosphere is very crowded. Many are couples but many are alone passing by. Xuan had tied his horse to a wooden pole before entering the market. Now he is slowly entering the market deeper. On the left and right side of the road many traders peddle their merchandise.

"Zi'er, I'm gonna go to the toilet for a second. You wait here, don't go anywhere" Xuan said.

Upon seeing Lin Zi nod, Xuan immediately left. Lin Zi looked at the crowd of markets. Among the crowd passing by, he saw a man he knew standing a few steps before him. They stared at each other in the crowd.
