Chapter 34 I'm Happy

"Why are they so long?" ask Yuri in wonder.

Fifteen minutes passed and during that time Rapka struggled with her suddenly shrinking guts, she never thought she would feel nervous to the point of being speechless when she was close enough to Yuri.

"Mu-maybe Imel is not satisfied shopping," he said.

"Im, Imel has always been like that. He really can't be quiet, can he? haha." said Yuri feeling amused.

Thanks to the laughter Rapka felt the atmosphere was quite fluid so that he felt more relaxed, inwardly he was determined to immediately talk with easy words.

"His nature is very cheerful, he is like the sun that always makes me glare. If I'm next to her I feel like a cloud that's never been considered, but I'm grateful that I have a normal, happy life."

Yuri's gaze on the night sky as she spoke was so sad, laden with meaning that every word was not a joke.

"You're a passionate person, seeing you makes me want to achieve my dreams. I admire you so much that slowly the feeling turns into a sense of liking" she continued.

"Yuri... " Rapka did not know what to answer because she was too happy to hear the statement.

"I hope you're not angry and there's no awkwardness between us, I thought about saying it because I didn't want to regret it. I'm so happy to be friends with you and I hope you don't forget our friendship until anytime."

"Of course not! I'm also happy to meet you and get to know you" Rapka said quickly.

"Mm, thanks. Then I leave first," Yuri said as she got up.

"Eh wait! where are you going?" rapka asked in shock and confusion.

"Finding Noah, I've already told you how I feel and it makes me feel good. Before the day changed I also wanted to tell her my feelings" Yuri said.

Waving his hand with a smile to the petrified Rapka, it took Rapka a few minutes to understand that her feelings had turned out to be unrequited.

Running among the crowd Yuri continued to search for Noah, any man he felt resembled Noah would greet him until he finally found Noah and Imel sitting on a chair right under a tree.

"Yuri!?" imel exclaimed astonished at the arrival of Yuri who was alone.

"There's something I want to tell you" Yuri said with eyes only on Noah.

Of course it makes Imel and Noah look at each other, obviously they are confused but Imel first know what is going on then he chose to leave.

Walking closer to Noah Yuri sat right beside him, Noah felt awkward for the first time because his mind was thinking of all sorts.

"Live a few more minutes to the date change" Yuri said as she glanced at her watch.

Noah just nodded.

"I often wonder why I can be so open to you but not to others let alone Rapka, uh... when I got near Rapka I was really nervous as if my heart would stop racing. Maybe in our previous lives we were brothers" Yuri said casually.

"What... Have you spoken to Rapka?" ask Noah to make sure.

"Mm, I expressed my feelings to her," Yuri said, leaving Noah stunned.

"Then what are you doing here?" asked Noah again now in a cold tone.

Apparently he and Imel had guessed wrong.

"To tell you," Yuri replied innocently.

"Gosh... You can talk later, right? you just left Rapka?" his nag.

"There's no time left, even though my feelings have been conveyed but the relationship we have is just a friendship. The relationship that I am most proud of," Yuri replied.

"What?" noah asked in disbelief.

"I've thought about it well, I don't want to ruin my friendship with a special relationship that might come to an end."

"But." Noah's protest.

"Can we stop talking about it? this time I didn't come to you to hear your advice" Yuri said firmly.

Noah was under intense pressure from Yuri's gaze, so he nodded and remained silent.

"Thank you for being with me all the time" he continued with a smile.

Time continues to run, a siren reports that a moment will come when the date changes.

"Noah, can I hold your hand?" ask Yuri.

As Yuri held her hand Noah was shocked to feel the coldness of Yuri's hand, but he didn't care much.

Fireworks lit up above the night sky, sparkling beautifully.

"Noah. I am happy." said Yuri staring in amazement at the sky.

"Noah there's a phone call for you!" the call woke Noah up.

He did not rise immediately, for a few minutes he stared at the white ceiling. Outside the weather is quite sunny, the second of January and it is still a holiday.

After the new year's night, Yuri said goodbye shortly after the fireworks were over. He refused to be driven home and Noah did not try harder.

He was supposed to meet Imel and Rapka to go home together, but he felt awkward so decided to go home first. Until now he has not met or informed them.

"Hello.." said to someone who called.

"Oh Imel, what's wrong?" tanyakanya.

A second later his eyes widened in shock at Imel's reply, letting the phone handle hang he ran to snatch his black jacket and immediately went out.

In the heat of the sun his breath was increasingly hunting along with the speed of his feet were fast running.

Finally he reached the bus stop, apparently Imel and Rapka were waiting there. They did not talk to each other but the look on their faces clearly showed the same anxiety, when the bus came they immediately entered.

Only ten minutes and they had arrived, speeding up their final steps they arrived at the already crowded grandmother's house.

Noah felt his knees instantly loosen, but he forced himself to walk in.

What Noah heard on the phone was apparently not a figment, Yuri's photo was already on display there with flowers.

"You're coming" Grandma's welcome.

"Grandma, what's going on?" ask Imel immediately.

Grandma smiled bitterly, taking them to another room to talk.

"There was a witness who said he jumped off a bridge, he fell into a coma until he finally left right after the new year."

The brief explanation was not to answer their questions but to bring up various other questions.

"But... Yuri was with us on New Year's Eve" Rapka said.

"No way, he was in a coma in the hospital at the time" said grandma sure because he was there to accompany.

Imel and Rapka are increasingly confused, only Noah who is silent does not say not even care about the awkwardness. He only questioned Yuri's departure which he could not allow.

Yuri's departure became the hottest gossip at the beginning of the new year, rumors about her were not extinguished until the school holidays were over. Everyone is still talking about it especially his classmates, they just shut up when Susi mom entered the class.

"I'm sure you've heard of Yuri, we don't know what the disaster will be. I hope you don't continue to dissolve in this sad news" he said, focusing more on Imel, Rapka and Noah.

Everyone knew the three of them were so close to Yuri that it was surely they who felt the most loss.

The sound of the chair shifting made all eyes fixed on the rising Noah, his originally bowed eyes slowly raised to stare at everyone.

"I.. I like Yuri!" suddenly Noah shouted.

The class became quieter instantly, of course they were shocked by Noah's statement. But Imel actually began to shed tears that were getting louder, as well as Rapka who finally succumbed to her sadness.
