Chapter 22 Distance

Though he had asked to make provisions but because Imel had been too long not ask his mother instead so forget, finally forced to go to the cafeteria.

On the way he who was hungry imagined the menu today that will fill his stomach, but not in the thought that he saw then make his hunger disappear.

Among the many tables and disciples who were eating his eyes were fixed on Noah and Yuri who were eating together, he clearly saw Yuri's smile which reflected the happiness and the warm eyes of Noah.

Nailed to the entrance, he realized when someone told him not to block the way, Imel quickly hid behind a large flower pot next to the door.

Noting how the two friends chatted while eating, if you look more deeply Imel felt as if they were dating.

"Ah right!" he understood one thing.

Yesterday Yuri suddenly said he could not make provisions, apparently this is the reason. But it was quite surprising also because Yuri did not say frankly, couldn't he say he would eat in the cafeteria? unless he wants to eat without Imel with him.

One thought flashed quickly in his mind, making him gather all sorts of togetherness that he could make evidence of.

Until he finally believes something has happened between Yuri and Noah, too curious he rushes back to class only to see Rapka.

"Follow me!" take Imel while pulling Rapka's hand.

"Eh wait!" the shocked Rapka.

But he kept running after Imel, until they finally arrived at the quiet rooftop of the school only then did Imel let go of his hand.

"What's wrong? why did you bring me here?" ask Rapka.

"It's about Noah, I want to ask you something" said Imel.

Rapka was speechless and listened to Imel's words, but when Imel revealed his assumptions suddenly the look on his face turned wry.

The bell almost rings indicating that the lesson is about to start again, but Yuri sees neither Imel nor Rapka in her chair.

Trying to vent himself he asked the friend who was sitting right next to him.

"Ah I saw that Imel suddenly came and took Rapka away, looking like there was something they should talk about alone."

That answer made Yuri wonder as well as curious, he wondered what things they should talk about until looking for a quiet place.

Just when his mind was filled with various thoughts Imel and Rapka entered the class together, from the look on their faces something that stuck as if disturbing.

Home school little heart Yuri wanted to ask what made Imel's expression so harsh, but she didn't have the courage to.

Throughout the training, Imel seemed more quiet and it made him a little uncomfortable, even the next days when he stopped making provisions as if there was a distance between them that made him sad.

"You bored?" noah asked his daydreams at a meal in the cafeteria.

"Oh no, every day the menu is different so I'm not bored," he answered quickly back to the real world.

"Then what's bothering you?" asked Noah now with full attention.

Seeing Yuri's expression of course Noah understood the thing that bothered him so much, he knew Yuri was a quiet girl. But when Yuri shut up because of a problem she really didn't like it.

"Why don't you talk to him directly?" ask Noah.

"That's impossible, what am I supposed to say anyway?" sergeant Yuri.

"But you can't stand it, right?" guess Noah's on target.

Exhaling a long breath Noah then looked at the real Yuri who had not changed at all except for her hair.

"If you just ask in your mind that distance will widen, but if you choose to say it there will only be two possibilities. The distance disappeared or the distance turned into a separation wall" said Noah.

It took time for Yuri to understand Noah's intentions, just like the grandmother's advice back then. But at least now Yuri did not need to spend days to understand, after returning home from school before the practice began he planned to invite Imel to talk.

He asked Imel for time while filling the bottled water, of course Imel was a little surprised because seeing the look on Yuri's face that seriously made him think various things.

"What's wrong?" tanya Imel started the four-eye conversation.

Yuri needed to take a deep breath before then she looked at Imel without any nervousness.

"Did I make a mistake? are you mad at me?" yuri asked me.

"T-no," said Imel shocked to hear Yuri's firm voice.

"Then why are you avoiding me?" ask Yuri again now with a bursting feeling.

Of course Imel immediately realized the problem he was feeling as well, after finding Yuri and Noah eating together since that day he did not want to disturb Yuri anymore.

Seeing Yuri's happy face he felt that all this time it had been troublesome even though many times Yuri said he was happy with Imel, still he felt bad.

"I'm not away from you" said Imel with a faint smile.

"But... " Yuri wanted to explain how she felt but she did not get the right words.

"Maybe it's because one of our habits that's changed to feel a little weird, we used to have lunch together and now it's not so I understand how you feel."

"Then let's have lunch together again," the reluctant Yuri invited the distance to become a separation wall.

"But " said Imel hesitated because he did not want to interfere with Yuri and Noah's time together.

"Every day I'm in the cafeteria with Noah, you can join us and we can eat together. Instead of eating both I feel more exciting if eating with many people," said Yuri.

"Is it no problem?" ask Imel carefully.

"I'm used to eating with you, spending time with you. So if parting a little longer is very unpleasant" Yuri admitted.

Imel did not know why in Yuri's eyes he seemed valuable, but he was just a gaggu but Yuri always acted as if he needed it. That attitude was so natural that it made her even less want to trouble Yuri, with a grateful smile finally Imel nodded.

The next day without notice Yuri and Imel came carrying their respective trays and sat right in front of Noah, making the cold young man snort in annoyance as his calmness was now disturbed.
