Chapter 27 Harvesting Corn

Yuri could clearly see that one transparent wall, a wall that no one could see. The wall that had separated Noah and Rapka, indeed they had interacted with each other but had not spoken normally as usual.

Maybe Yuri should not interfere in their problems, but Yuri really does not like the barrier wall that he had felt as well.

He wants to help Noah as Noah did to repair his relationship with Imel, but he doesn't know where to start.

During lunch together in the cafeteria as a result he daydreamed a lot until he did not realize Noah finished his food, as soon as Yuri was about to bribe his food to run out.

"Eh, Noah! why are you eating my share?" yuri asked in shock at once annoyed.

"Since then you've been quiet so I thought you didn't want to" Noah said casually.

"Hhhhhh, I'm starving" Yuri said, exhaling.

Noah smiled slightly at Yuri's cute face while pouting, actually he wanted to tempt Yuri further but because he could not bear to finally buy her a pack of bread and milk.

After eating they walked together back to class, when looking out the window he accidentally saw the school garden manager who was caring for a flower plant.

An idea came to his mind, something he thought would get Noah and Rapka back together as usual.

"Noah, is this Saturday your free?' tanyakanya.

"It seems, what's up?" reply Noah.

"My grandmother told me to help harvest the corn, because the garden is wide must take a long time to work on it. Can you help me? I'll give you a reward!" the answer.

"Oh, well," said Noah without thinking first

"really? I will wait for you then," Yuri said happily.

His cheerful smile made Noah stop walking, watching Yuri for a long time until Yuri stopped walking.

"What's wrong?" tanyanya.

"Are you just in front of me acting like this?" asked Noah curiously.

"You mean?" reply Yuri did not understand.

Noah stared at Yuri for quite a while, scrutinizing her puzzled facial expression.

"Nothing," he said then walked back.

Saturday morning as promised Noah really came, Grandma who has been told is certainly happy because her work will be easier.

"Hi."." cried the newly arrived Imel.

Noah was quite surprised to see the arrival of Imel who also turned out to be with Rapka, looked at Yuri then he understood this was a plan that had been prepared.

"Ah I thought it would be too late" said Imel.

"No, we're just leaving, too" said Grandma.

"Then come on!" imel led the way.

Followed by the others they began to walk, down the forest behind a lush house. Her cool air with the chirping of birds made Yuri feel peaceful, as if she had just been born into something new.

"Aah!" strangled when accidentally slipped.

Luckily Noah caught him in time, held his hand firmly until he fell.

"You okay?" ask Noah.

"Oh. no, thank you. " said Yuri with a smile.

"Be careful" Noah said, helping Yuri stand up straight.

"Waaaaaahhhh!" imel was amazed when they arrived.

Grandma's garden is broad, no wonder if he is busy farming because in addition to corn garden he also has rice fields and other gardens that he takes care of himself.

Handing out Grandma's basket to the four children to harvest with the line he had set, Imel who most enthusiastically invite his three friends to race to harvest the most corn.

Rapka responded excitedly while Yuri and Noah just nodded without wasting energy, they would just take it no matter who won.

In the vast garden the most active Imel kept on shouting sometimes singing, making them laugh with his funny behavior.

The heat of harvesting without feeling the sun is already hot on the head, exhausted they rest under a cool tree. Enjoy the cold water they brought and the rice made by Grandma.

"Mmm, that's delicious... Grandma is very good at making them!" praise Imel.

"Thank you, eat until you are satisfied. We'll make the grilled corn you harvest" Grandma said.

"really? fun!" exclaim Imel happy.

"Is your batre endless? since then you have been talking so loudly," said Noah who was tired of seeing Imel.

"Whatchu mean? am I a puppet?" ask Imel wryly.

Laughter they answered Imel's question, of course no one could bear to see the annoyed face of Imel who was more funny than his laugh.

Satisfied to laugh at Imel until they lost their tired work was resumed until the afternoon, although not all the corn in the harvest but that day they had got enough corn.

As promised when returning to the house Grandma immediately made a furnace outside to burn corn, while Yuri prepared tea and other snacks.

Imel continues to invite Rapka and Noah to joke so that they are not stiff, his efforts slowly succeed when Rapka starts talking as usual to Noah.

Inviting him to talk and joke despite Noah's response as usual, at least the transparent wall that Yuri saw was thinning and began to disappear.

"This is the tea" said Yuri put a tray filled with teapots and glasses.

"Thank you" said Noah immediately take one glass and pour tea.

"Give it a try, it tastes so sweet!" rapka exclaims thrusting one freshly cooked grilled corn.

"Oh good!" his mouth is coming down immediately.

While taking the corn from Rapka's hand, Yuri accidentally touches Rapka's hand, causing her to jerk due to a sting she never expected.

Frozen for a moment Yuri only realized a few seconds later when Rapka looked at her long, her nervousness was back present which made her throw her face.

Unable to bear the shame that Yuri chose to sit beside Noah, eating his grilled corn quickly as fast as the pounding of his heart.

"Hhhh you are not a child anymore, eat the right thing," Noah commented seeing many corn kernels falling on Yuri's thigh.

Not to mention that stuck to the corner of Yuri's lips which Noah then took, that's when Yuri's heart beat suddenly disappeared along with her breath. Even time seemed to stop when their eyes collided in such a close distance, for some reason Yuri suddenly realized that Noah was quite handsome.

If noticed he has long eyelashes, the finish is also thick enough to make him masculine.

"Eat slowly" said Noah.

Yuri blinked, returning to reality after a few seconds of death.

Satisfied burning corn Imel really made full and happy, especially when they say goodbye to home Grandma gave them a bag full of various kinds of vegetables for dinner.

Yuri, who escorted him to the bus stop, whispered to Imel behind Rapka and Noah, grateful that their plan had worked.

While Rapka who felt guilty with a gloomy face apologized to Noah for his attitude so far, with a flat face as usual Noah did not mind.

He did not care at all when in his silent heart he also felt lost the figure of Rapka who was always there for him, he said, smiling at each other they glanced at Yuri who was now much more open and friendly to them.
