Chapter 33 New Year's Eve

There was a longing that had tormented as the days he passed by himself, the busy part-time work at the cafe turned out not to divert his mind to one girl.

New year's night just counts the days, after work somehow his feet pedal a bicycle quickly down a steep road until he reached the residence of the grandmother.

Faced with eyes with grandma who just came home from the garden Rapka immediately came down and said hello.

"Good afternoon!"

"Oh Rapka, afternoon. Are you looking for Yuri?" ask Grandma.

"really? ah that's good! then call Yuri and remind her not to be late. Maybe with your phone Yuri's feeling better" Grandma asked.

"Alright, then excuse me first" Rapka said goodbye.

Returning to pedal a bicycle to return home Rapka tried to contact Yuri but unfortunately there was no answer, many times he tried but the results remained the same.

Even from the many messages he sent no one was reply, it made Rapka worried.

Trying to think positively he moved as usual until the day when the new year's night arrived, in the afternoon he came to Noah's house to invite him to go together.

Walking along the sidewalk there was nothing they were talking about until Rapka made up her mind.

"What's wrong?" asked Noah because Rapka suddenly stopped.

"I've decided it," he said.

"What?" asked Noah in a cold tone as usual.

"I'll tell Yuri my feelings tonight" she said firmly.

Noah seemed surprised to hear that, but then he smiled and asked "You need my help?."

Luckily Rapka has a very sensitive friend, she nods and thanks Noah for not doing anything.

Arriving at the town square a few minutes later Imel arrived, he smiled cheerfully as usual and raved a lot about his vacation.

"Have you heard from Yuri yet?" he asked because the day was getting dark but Yuri had not looked at the trunk of her nose.

They shook their heads, especially when Rapka told them that all her calls and messages were not answered.

"Maybe he'll be there soon, we'll just wait there" Noah said, pointing to a chair.

Seconds by second passed, people began to arrive and crowded the square area where fireworks would be launched later tonight.

Anxiety begins to sharpen their hearts, fearing that Yuri forgets the promise she made herself.

"Hey." a familiar voice made them stare in all directions in search of the source.

"There!" imel shouted while pointing.

Amidst the crowd Yuri ran over with a face full of smiles, her hands once again waved to them to show that it was her true self.

"Ah why are you so long?" hardik Imel as soon as Yuri arrives.

"I'm sorry." said Yuri while breathing out money as if it ran out.

He could not lie to his heart that was so relieved to see Yuri, Noah also seemed to smile looking at Yuri who was still managing her breath.

"I was stuck in traffic, uh people really had plans for a new year's night" he said, fanning his neck.

"We'd better get a drink" said Noah, aware that Yuri was thirsty.

"You're right, let's go!" take Imel with his cheer.

They began to walk while chatting, enjoying the excitement of the night with joy. Joking and teasing each other until all that time the laughter never stopped.

Without feeling the seconds leading up to the turn of the year will soon begin, Rapka signaled that he needed a chance to Noah.

"Imel let's accompany me to some sweets" Noah asked.

"Oh well," said Imel without feeling suspicious.

"Do you want to too? let only us go," bargained Noah for a stale base.

So Noah nodded and asked Imel to leave immediately, they walked away from Yuri and Rapka who again enjoyed the beauty of the night.

"Oh Noah, here's some fruit candy!" imel exclaimed as they passed by one store.

"I don't want that one" Noah replied as he continued walking.

Imel was a little confused but then he followed Noah's footsteps right behind him, every time there was a sweet Imel would call out to tell but Noah always shook his head and just kept going.

Until the astonished Imel finally pulled Noah's hand to stop walking.

"What do you really want?" tanyanya annoyed.

"Um.. after I thought maybe I wanted a heavy meal" he replied.

"Don't joke! are you hiding something from me?" hardik Imel because he did not see seriousness in the word Noah.

For a moment Noah stared at the girl, free to keep lying. Finally Noah tells the truth, he only gives a little time for Rapka to be able to express his feelings without being disturbed.

"Then what about you?" asked Imel which made Noah gasp in shock.

"You like Yuri too, don't you?" smith again.

"I'm not stupid, we've known each other for a long time. The way you look at Yuri is so different, you're so considerate of her that you're always there for her. "And if Yuri refuses then I want you to express your feelings to Yuri in front of all of us" Imel replied.
